Half demon, half human, with the power of all five elements, I can make a difference.
The Order of Martyrs thinks my magic is evil. My quad trusts that I'm good. The truth is that I'm a little of both. Caught in the middle, I'm just trying to figure out who I really am.
The problem is that I don't honestly know.
All of my dreams for my future are gone. The things I spent my life working toward have been rendered meaningless. I was told that the scar on my hand marks me as Anathema, the most lethal of the Brethren. Because my Dad's a demon, that means I'm an abomination. Unfortunately, those last two things do not go together.
Yep, I'm a mess.
Even worse, the rest of my quad has abilities that are little more than parlor tricks. There's no way we can make this work. We're out powered on both sides, caught in the middle, and if this keeps up, we'll be fighting for our lives. We have to be missing something. The big question is what.
After all, the Order says I can't be a hero. So the four of us are going to change the rules. It's time to stand up and let a little evil run free.
Enter Sandman is a paranormal romance novel with a slow burn romance where the heroine doesn't have to choose between her love interests.
This is a joint writing project between Auryn Hadley and Kitty Cox, we've teamed up.
Cerise Cole is the pseudonym for the combined efforts of Kitty Cox and Auryn Hadley. After writing the Gamer Girls series together, the pair decided to join forces on a more permanent basis.
Kitty and Auryn are best friends in both real life and the literary kind. Living in Texas, they come up with their next crazy book idea while riding horses or drinking margaritas and martinis. Together, they combined Auryn's world building with Kitty's character depth to create stories that you will not forget.
Probably the weakest book in the series, with elements (the whole good girl thing and Jess' habit of planning) starting to get a little repetitive (felt like things were said before, not adding to the progression of the story nor showing character growth). Still a very good book!

Kitty and Auryn writing together is just OP. Usually series will have a slow part, or hit a slump, but the pacing with End of Days is perfect. This book was packed with content from start to finish and I'm both excited and terrified for Highway to Hell. I love this series, I want to know how it ends but I also don't want to say goodbye to these amazing characters.
*****SPOILERS***** Holy hell Travis being a demon. Yes. I loved it. I think both Auryn and Kitty are both great at including secondary characters in a way that doesn't make them feel like add-ons or more 2D and that is exactly what Travis's storyline is to me. I liked how naturally he was used to give us more demon lore and think it was a real strength that there wasn't just an info dump.
Ted finally being a semi-decent father was also great but definitely had the feeling of too little too late which I think was reflected in Jess's reaction and I liked that she just wasn't sure how she felt, it seemed more real to me. My biggest issue with the big confrontation at the seal is that the guys really felt nothing about killing the Martyrs. I got them not hesitating because it was an us or them situation but I can't see any of them being that casual about ending another person's life, no matter the fact that they're in the opposite side.
That was probably my only gripe with the book though. I loved that sexuality was spoken about and there were issues that needed to be worked through, it made it feel that more real to me. Gavin's reactions, whilst annoying, were honest to his character as someone raised to be scared of and hate gay people and I felt it was handled really well and we got to see so much growth from him.
What is going on with the seal in Colorado? What did the Martyrs have to gain from erasing all that history? How do angels play into all of this? I have questions and while I know I'll get answers with this being a universe rather than a standalone series I can see I will have even more questions following Highway to Hell.

Demons, angels, humans, weapons training, poly relationships, and - the most frightening of all - high school drama. The mind shudders at the thought.
As with other books from these authors, the tale is woven between action and quite open-minded, multiple partner sex scenes. This one cheerfully references a familiar series, a fun in joke, recommendation for more reading, or both. I appreciate that this is more action and plot than (eyebrow wiggle) action, if you know what I mean. As much as I enjoy well-written smut, the balance between love and lust is well done here.
An example of the writing, primarily so from Jess's point of view:
"Old Jess was gone. New, cambion-Jess was here, and I liked her a lot more than the version of me who'd been helpless. This girl didn't need combat boots to kick @$$. She had eyeliner and magic powers. She had a gun, three boyfriends, and hunted demons. She was the kind of strong female who didn't take $h!t from anyone and would come out victorious. The kind I read about, longed to be, and had finally become."
Overall I loved this book, just like I've loved everything else by these two authors. I love the direction this series is headed, with the overall plot branching away from high school drama and more towards real life. Parts of it felt a little repetitive, but that may be a bit of nitpicking on my end.
I read books like these for the spicy content, but the thing that makes me stick with them is the plot and the characters. In this book we continue to see more plot building up with the existence of the bonds, training Jess's magic, and the on-going drama that is her father.
I will never stop singing praise to Auryn and Kitty for the diversity that they put into their characters, and for the complexity of the relationships that they share. The poly dynamic is often used as a gimmick, but these two authors continue to write realistic relationships as part of the core to the stories. Adding in the fact that cis and straight aren't the defaults for their characters makes this a continued must read series for me.

Book 3 in the series with a big build up to closing the seal. From Gavin almost being killed in book 2 the bonds between all 5 of them needed to be stronger. A few twists and turns, new friends and a demon dad it kept me interested and turning the pages. I still wonder where the story is going and how they will save the world. I am enjoying the series. At the end of closing the seal it jumped a bit and I felt like there were pages missing, I was confused and lost for a bit (I hate that). Overall it is a great series that you need to read in order. All books end in a soft cliffhanger with no ending to the story - FYI. There is reverse harem sexy scenes with one female and 4 men. Super hot!. One thing I love coming from these authors is equality in human differences and excepting everyone as they are without prejudice. Love equality and everything is not black and white but surrounded by colors/ rainbow colors even for the demons. The world is changing and going to be better than ever.
It’s like a group of misfits coming together. Not only that but how discrimination is strong in this series. Jess and the boys are not just dealing with who they are, what they are suppose to do and surviving. They are fighting for not only themselves but everybody who wants a chance to live. It’s really a breathe of fresh air and unique.
There is a order who we are finding out could be the bad guys You have the supernatural who again are bad/good and ugly lol Even your humans can be so evil and cruel. It opens your eyes and makes you realise how much human can be as evil and what we would class as the devil.
And can I say for a bunch of 18 year olds they are more experimental in the bedroom than our adult RH books lol Jess can sure take it 😉 I do love that they all work and finally their sandman is here to stay 😍
I wasn’t thrilled that this series was the angels and demons kind of paranormal, but it’s done in such a way that I am completely okay with it.
Not all demons are evil? The ‘good’ guys are against them just as much as the ‘bad’ guys? The MCs start calling themselves the villians? Awww yeeeesss. Gimme moar.
And the flavor of the M/M in this series can best be summed up in the immortal words of The Lonely Island featuring Justin Timberlake and Lady Gaga - “Its okay when it’s in a three-way, It’s not gay when it’s in a three-way, with a honey in the middle there’s some leeway, the area’s gray in a one-two-three-way.”
Which, while hilarious, is toxic and not my flavor of choice. Imma blame that choice on Auryn Hadley.

I’ll admit I wasn’t really connecting to book 1 when it came out, there was nothing wrong with it and it was written well, I just didn’t connect to the characters; and even though I devour Auryn Hadley books, I decided to skip the rest of this series. Then I got bored and decided I may as well read the next two. I’m so glad I did. Each book is better than the one before, the story progresses so nicely, the characters are growing and evolving as events in the book take place. The sex scenes are smoking hot! I highly recommend this book. I cannot wait for the next one.
Enter Sandman, the third book of the End of Days series, is an ebook I downloaded from Kindle Unlimited. I'm loving this series more and more as the onion-like layers of the plot unfold. The quad-plus-one have really grown in their powers and they are beginning to figure out secrets that have been withheld by the Order of Martyrs. Exciting pacing, lots of reveals, and a whole lot of action-packed tension.
I’ll be honest I skimmed a couple pages in this one, because I just didn’t find the “battle” scenes all that interesting. Other than that I really enjoyed this one. We get to learn a lot about the quad and Sandman’s powers together and Jess’ magic. I’m excited to see where the next book will lead us with the Order and the other supernaturals.
I am sucked in, intrigued and invested. I love the diversity of the characters and the richness of their personas. There isn’t just diversity in their racial identity, but in age, socio-economic backgrounds and beliefs. It makes a rich tapestry for an awesome story to unfold.
Steam level just keeps going up. I love this series so much, I love the hurdles they have faced not just the demon/martyr hurdles but also the ones in their relationship. It's a very well written book with good strong characters and not just the main female character and her men it is far broader and it's nice to have other strong characters.
This was more interesting, now that so much of the world building is more established. Love deke and gav getting in there and sword fighting! Also love the fact the guys don't care about kissing after swallowing and sloppy seconds. And Shannon, you go girl! Maybe she's part angel!
The author duo of Auryn and Kitty strike again. In this book there’s more excitement, new knowledge and some great new allies. I can't wait until the next book comes out!
Another hit! Literally couldn't put it down. Some fun twists and plenty of hot scenes. Love all the characters, even the secondary characters we see more of. Can't wait for the next installment. December can't come soon enough.
Jess and her guys are recovering after their fight at the seal, and prepping for their next attack. I loved seeing their relationships grow and seeing them work through their issues. Rash is kind of growing on me. I can’t wait to see what happens in book 4 :)
No spoilers here. Just know you will be on the edge of your seat at parts of this book. The hot parts are scortching and there are parts that will bring the tears. Be ready!
This series has all the right parts to make an amazing read! With each new chapter, the quad and their sandman are growing closer. With the new dangers to face, they came together to make one fierce family! Can't wait for read the next book!
Some parts of this book felt like the story was finished, but there is another book, so I’m intrigued to what comes next. I liked the story, I love the characters and overall it’s right up my alley. I think I will put this series on my re-read list.
Is it December yet? Another awesome part of this series. The anticipation until the last book comes out may very well kill me. I too want to be a villain💖💖💖
Great continuation of the saga. Love the development of the plot and characters. It continues to question what is good /evil and the prevention of the apocalypse.
