The bad guys don't trust us. The good ones want to kill us. Stuck in the middle, this will be our last stand.
It feels like everyone wants to make us the villains, so fine - they can do that. I just don't feel like I'm evil. I managed to find love, and for the first time in years, I have people around me that I can actually call a real family.
They're the only thing I have left to lose.
This insane life I've found myself in has taken everything else. The Order of Martyrs is hunting us, convinced that we're traitors because we won't simply lay down and die. The demons want to break the seal open. We just want to stop the Apocalypse, because it is real, and it is coming.
Caught in the middle, we have no good options left. Day by day, we're all becoming more powerful, learning things the Order has tried to keep secret. There is a reason that the Brethren are feared, and the group of us agree that we will use every power at our disposal - regardless of the consequences.
And we are not alone.
Throughout history, the Order has done this same thing to all other abominations, keeping us separated and weak. We're going to need a little help, but the enemy of my enemy isn't always my friend. They simply want to use me as much as I want to use them, but somebody has to do something. The question is who will break first: our "allies", myself, my boyfriends, or the seal that holds closed the gates of Hell?
Because I no longer give a damn about good intentions. For once in my life, I'm going to be a little selfish - Even if that means letting the whole world burn.
Highway to Hell is a complete paranormal romance novel with a slow burn romance where the heroine doesn't have to choose between her love interests.
This is a joint writing project between Auryn Hadley and Kitty Cox, we've teamed up under a combined pseudonym, Cerise Cole.
Cerise Cole is the pseudonym for the combined efforts of Kitty Cox and Auryn Hadley. After writing the Gamer Girls series together, the pair decided to join forces on a more permanent basis.
Kitty and Auryn are best friends in both real life and the literary kind. Living in Texas, they come up with their next crazy book idea while riding horses or drinking margaritas and martinis. Together, they combined Auryn's world building with Kitty's character depth to create stories that you will not forget.
Fast paced conclusion to this series. Over the course of the 4 books some elements turned rather repetitive (at least when binge reading the series in the course of 4 days). I also felt the ending was not very strong. Yes, the authors intend to create a whole interwoven universe, so no doubt the loose ends will be addressed. The focus was on stopping the Apocalypse, but how Jess and her guys were suddenly cleared of responsibility and set free was a little abrupt.

This book was not at all what I expected after finishing the previous one. Cerise Cole blew all my expectations up and went above and beyond with more plot and characters. I absolutely loved Jess, she was such a strong FMC, fighting for those she loved and making the world a bit safer for them. She finds some unexpected allies along the way and learned a lot more about the martyrs. I can't wait for more books set in this same universe!
I received an arc and thus am reviewing earlier. I loved the writing style and this was a great book but something was missing. I am guessing I was a bit disappointed with the lack of interaction between the quad (quint?). External problems were very much the focus and I thought the way they impacted or rather did not impact the quad were too good to be true.
I am absolutely devastated that this series is over well Jess and her guys. I do know that the author has said she bringing other series to this but not same lol especially when you fall in love with characters. I do know that there is a few new characters that have popped in and you can tell they will have their own story but I don’t know how you feel but I just wanted a little bit more at the end but I guess the whole point of this story was for Jess to change things and prove herself which she did. I’m a greedy bitch and just loved Jess and her story It’s been an amazing series. Different and unique, bringing something new and each book got better and more addicting. The beauty about this series is each book had its own uniqueness and twists so for me it kept the story interesting and Jess character was my kinda leading ladies. I must admit I am a huge supernatural fan and I even think this series gave it a run for its money lol I mean Sam and dean are hard to replace but imagine them working with Jess and her boys hehe now that I could get on board with. Anyway sorry I know this is a review and not all about my ideas etc haha It’s a huge must read from me and 10/10 One of the best supernatural/RH reads I’ve ever read.
This book was by far the most intense of the group, and my heart is still pounding. Frankly I just want to shake these beautiful ladies who are our glorious authors, and then hug them within an inch of their lives. I learn something, think better, or differently, every single time I gorge myself on their literary genius. Ladies, my own feeble words don't hold a candle to your mastery, but thank you, so very very much, for the light you bring to my world. Your perspective, and your pure, imaginative daring, to spawn such beauty as this makes my whole world brighter. I can't WAIT for the next book, because I know, along with many others, we'll be better people for having read it, because these aren't just books, they're stories about *people* and pushing the envelope and changing minds and hearts and daring to demand something better from all of us.
So I don’t do spoilers, they’re awful. This book series has so much! This is book 4, they must be read in order as each picks up immediately after the last. The actual character development is fabulous, no sudden personality shifts for plot lines. There are some pretty heavy -isms addressed throughout the series which I could see closeted haters struggling with, but as they’re unevolved they shouldn’t be reading RH anyway. All in all, much love for this series.
I really enjoyed thus series. This last book had more characters that were enjoyable to meet and admire their power. I like the overall theme to be a goid human, be kind, love everyone and we have to stand up for each other in love and equality. The cons of the book was repetitive internal dialogue the grew tiresome. Happily ever after! Great ending!
Still of the Night, the fourth book of the End of Days series, is an ebook I downloaded from Kindle Unlimited. A great ending for the characters and the story line--although the door is open for more offshoot series. The authors are wonderful storytellers and they maintained an exciting pace and a lot of unexpected twists.
Honestly such a good book and so well written. Auryn and Kitty knocked it out of the park with the world-building here. This story honestly wasn’t my favorite cup of tea but I can 100% appreciate how incredible it was. Very well done to them.
The end of this series was everything I was hoping for and a little bit I didn't know I needed. This duo can do no wrong. I am waiting on pins and needle for the next series in this saga. 💖💖💖
Another great book from these authors! The World building and characters were amazing. This was a unique twist on the whole demons, angels, etc. Trope.
So sad to see it end!I can't wait to see What is coming next.
Great story, world building and empathetic characters. The ending, though, I found to be a bit anticlimatic. This could be because the bigger story will be continoued in other series, but I would have liked a bit more closure with the ending. Seemed to simple almost.
I have read all the books in this series as well as anything the authors have put out separately or together. Love them!! But this one was kind of what I waiting for. Angst, battles, fury, and love. The guys just keep getting better. Well done, ladies!
I am most definitely glad that there will be a spin-off to this series. That prologue has left me wanting so much more. It's an incredibly well written book and I can't wait to see what the future holds. Phenomenal writing by two awesome ladies.
Excited there will be more stories in this universe and I can't wait for ted to be rehabilitated with his family and to see how lark will grow up. Definitely want puppy and sables stories and Travis and Shannon's, too.
This is such an amazing series. It's a very original magical universe that is written very well. I'm so glad to hear they are expanding this universe into other related series. I can't wait to read them.
Absolutely wonderful series. Definitely one of my favorites. So we'll written and original. I'm very excited for more in this world and hopeful for more of Jess and her guys sometime in the future.
Really loved the story line the guys are just adorable and the ladies take no messing even though the fmc lived a sheltered life she was strong and sassy the side characters are awesome and I need more lol
Ok this book is a really nice ending for this series and there are so many new and interesting characters for a new series is this universe, I can’t wait for the next one.
