She was mine. Mine to take. Mine to control. Mine to command. My omega. And I would make her obey.
...Somehow.

Twenty-five years ago, a radiation storm hit my home planet, Epsilon, killing most of the omegas. The only way to protect our babies was to send them away into space. But the mission was sabotaged, the newborn omegas were lost. Alphas have searched across the galaxy for them ever since the storm passed.

Now, they are adults. And I will find them. I have narrowed down their destination to a distant planet called Earth.

I stop for food and find a lost omega working in a fast-food kitchen. Once I catch her scent, there is no other choice. I claim my virgin omega over and over. I will keep knotting with her until she carries my child.

But attempts on her life reveal a traitor on my ship. How can I protect my mate from a dark conspiracy?

This Omegaverse was "knot" good!!

1.5 Stars

I feel like this author said, "Omegaverse is blowing up, I think I'll write one." Then read some OV cliff notes or something and just threw some OV terms in there without really figuring out how it all works.

Jessie, the Omega, had one smell of Thorun the Alpha and she collapses in "estrus". So Thorun fucks her on the floor and she freaks out and manages to squeeze his knot out of her and run away. That's the first I've ever seen or heard of that in a book. Then Jessie's estrus some how goes away unless she gets turned on and then it's brought up how intense her estrus is. NO, omegas go into estrus or heat and get rutted through it, usually lasting 4-10 days. It doesn't pop up every few days or weeks, for a single bout of sex.

The only time nesting was mentioned was when Jessie had an instinct to nest when she was thinking about their new home on Epsilon, and the kids they were gonna have. Usually the nesting instinct is in preparation for the omega's heat. But then again, like I said there never really was a heat either.

All the characters were really like caricatures of what the author thought the trope was. The Alphas were all fighting, aggressive dummies, almost seven feet tall and built like WWE wrestlers. (Her words) The omega was 4 foot 11, can't fight but good at running and hiding. Betas were conniving and sneaky, hating alphas and omegas and plotting against them.

Then to add insult to injury, the romance was non existent. The only time Jessie and Thorun were together was every once in a while when he stopped by her room to growl at her and punish her before fucking her. The story itself was very choppy and the background info poorly explained. In fact when I started reading I had to go back and make sure I was reading book one of the series. Maybe there was a prequel I missed, but it seemed like there was all this info I was supposed to know and didn't. Also, somehow this weird Beta rebellion/uprising isn't really addressed even as it seems they are making big moves with big ramifications and it's all left unanswered.

I've read other books by this author I really enjoyed. I almost can't believe this is even the same author. I'm really disappointed. Why go to the hassle of making this a science fiction omegaverse if you're just gonna make the "aliens" indistinguishable from humans. The only difference we get is, "oh, I bet you've had headaches your whole life, huh? That's because you don't get vitamin J on Earth." I mean come on! It just seemed lazy. I love SFR and OV and both aspects of this were poorly done. I'm just so surprised, but not in a good way. SMH!

Omg...

This was the dumbest book I’ve ever read. Besides the fact that this author has zero sci fi originality as nearly every reference was a ripoff from some show or other, there was absolutely NO romance in this story whatsoever. The omega and alpha spent ZERO time together that wasn’t unconscious or for s e x. They did nothing to get to know each other. The omega basically fell in love all by herself. How is that possible?!?

This is not romance. There is not enough anything together that would be considered romance. Not even the s e x. Those scenes were so boring and while unrealistic I felt like the author didn’t even bother to flesh out the knotting/alien thing enough to make it interesting enough to grab your attention to see what happens. This whole story was simply ridiculous. The female was TSTL and the male lead was a doofy sexist ape, not in a likable way. The author “tried” to write some jokes but they all fell flat.

As for the omega verse, this is the first book on this subgenre I’ve ever read and it was a very poor showing for it. I would love for someone to explain to me the purpose of an alpha, omega and beta in a species, and for said beta species to try to kill off the alpha and omega of their species. It makes no evolutionary since. Genicide is very common but if they breed from each other than it would be a pointless effort. Self destructive. Not worth a romance story.

I will never read this book ever again!!

Hard DNF

Train wreck. This book is a continuous thought that never ends. It is very difficult to follow at times, and the bond for alpha/omega pairing is cheapened here. Maybe some editing would help make the sentiments clearer, but once it hit the "I must sleep with every alpha to know what I actually want" at 37% I threw in the towel.

This is a funny and sexy story about an alien searching earth for lost omega mates. Of course there are many humorous instances of miscommunication and reactions to the strange nature of humans. With intense scenes of power exchange, and yummy alpha males, this book ticked a lot of boxes for me. I stayed up way past my bedtime because I just couldn’t put it down until the happy ending.

“I’d brought an unclaimed omega onto a ship full of alphas, none of whom had laid eyes on an omega for almost 25 years. I will mark her before someone else did.”

Jessie and Thorun

This was a nice pallet cleanser alien sci-fi romance book that I absolutely enjoyed.
25 years ago, a shuttle that was caring a whole bunch of female omega babies had to make an emergency landing on Earth.
The aliens were not able to find the Omega‘s until they were adults and Thorun finally found one name Jessie. She has absolutely no idea that she’s an alien herself and it takes quite a bit of convincing to get her to believe it.
Jessie is very hardheaded and shes so used to the way that humans do things, it takes her a really long time to figure out and understand the life of her species.
Yes, this book is full of smut.
But it has a really good story line.
There’s Betas that are starting an uprising and, let’s just say they don’t like the omega females coming back and getting claimed by all the alphas.
If you need a quick read and a really good pallet cleanser in between other books I highly recommend this series!

Omega

Story was interesting, but come on you should get more skills in communication before banging a girl on the floor. Still an interesting premise and the villain caught me totally unaware.

I found the blurb really interesting and had to read it.

Planet Epsilon lost all of their Omegas except the babies sent into space to protect them and or course the baby omegas are lost. 25 years later the omegas are found on a distant planet and raised by the indigenous population. The Alphas have come to claim them and bring them home and so the story begins...

Jessie has had a hard life growing up in the foster care system and so far, her adult life is not much better. Thorun (an Alpha) is doing research to find out what happened to all the babies that just appeared all over Earth, 25 years ago. When these two meet the sparks fly and they don't really stop.

The story if full of heat, intrigue, action, and betas. Did I forget to mention the betas? The betas are the middle ground between the alphas and omegas. Alphas are strong and domineering. Omegas are supposed to be submissive but these Earth grown omegas and strong and independent (which of course, does not sit well with the Alphas). Then there are the betas - the middle ground between the alphas and omegas. The betas kind of do their own thing and they have a very big roll to play in the recovery of the omegas.

I did enjoy this story and it leaves plenty of loose threads to keep readers occupied for many books to come.

Jessie just felt lost. She has tried so hard to make it in this world and it spit in her face. Thorun has been searching for Omegas. They were lost to his people and now they are on a search to find all. He finds one right under his nose. He is supposed to rescue and take her with but the impulse is too great. Not only for himself but for Jess as well. She has no idea what is happening to her. When all is made clear is seems so unreal. Now she is trying to adapt but there are feelings from her past that make it difficult. They do need to write a manual or teach all the Alphas how to act with Omegas. They all act like cavemen. Telling Jess about Epsilon and what it means is too much to absorb. She did make a few friends but not all were what we thought. Thorun needs to learn to romance Jess and needed some serious help. Jess brings a bit of Earth culture to the ship which you know is going to start to change things for all. Love all the 80s reference. A start or restart of the Epsilon race.

I normally like omegaverse books, but this one was weird and kind of just gross.

It's like this is omegaverse in name only. I stopped reading at Chapter 7 and then just ended up skimming through till the end.

Jessie is a mid twenties aged alien raised on earth and has no idea she's not human. She gets fired from her fast food job and that's when and where she meets Thorun.

She "starts her estrus" 🤮🤢 and he managed to scoop up her unconscious body, his 20 burgers and a diet coke, and get her to the backroom of a library.

Now, I love a good library sex scene, but what happens next is just🤢🤮🤮🤮

He keeps asking her "yes or no" with like 0 context so obviously she's confused. But then she says make it stop and he's like "that's all I needed to hear."

Then " this might hurt. My warning came a split-second before I thrust in, breaking her open, forcing my way through her hymen. She screamed in pain. I covered her mouth with my hand, cutting off the sound. The last thing we needed was an interruption. "

A few chapters later she'll tell one of her flatmates that he forced himself on her, and he he very much did...multiple times.

I can say this is probably the first omegaverse book I read that the MMC Alpha doesn't want his Omega to be anything except a brood mare. He also has an issue with her eating carbs "carbs make omegas blow up like a balloon." Like, that's also a common theme in omegaverse, but it's usually said by dickhole alphas, the type of alphas that give alphas a bad name. And yet, he's the love interest.

So close!

This book had all the right elements bit unfortunately they just weren't put together in the right way. While the characters were fun and had some great development, their personalities could change on a dime.
Also one of my biggest pet peeves is authors forgetting what their characters look like.
Our heroine is first described as a redhead, then a brunette later in the book and then back to redhead again. This drives me insane when and completely takes me out of the rhythm of the book while reading.
This book could easily be 5 stars if only it had seen a bit more editing, it has the feel of the author had to finish it quickly.
Although the humour was very on point in this and I thoroughly enjoyed that aspect of it, as well as some of the technology and physiological differences between humans and the aliens.
All together this is a good read but even though it had the potential to knock my socks off, it didn't.

This was a simply wonderful read, I loved this book and recommend this
This is a typical read of the species that is trying to survive and this is no mean feat if the species is going to survive it is a brutal way of life and there is no space for weakness or sensitivity only the strong and determined survive.
For twenty five years they have been fighting back and they will continue to battle until they have found as many of the female as possible as they are the only means for the continuation of the species. There are plenty of action, fights, and various scenario’s that will keep you guessing and totally engrossed in this wonderful story.
I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

Topsy-turvy and Roliking

I liked this book. It brought together multiple cultures, dissimilar to each other, and somewhat melded them. Jesse, the omega who had no idea of her true heritage; her alpha, Thorun, who was oftentimes befuddled by her behavior; and the betas, whose treachery, upon occasion, knew no bounds. There were features of the characters that were disarming, such as the massive, uncontrolled pooling that Jesse's loins produced and the purring that Thorun evoked that worked to soothe Jesse, sometimes unwillingly. It was a good read. The sex was a little much, at times, but I do not see how it could have been curtailed.

Epsilon Mate by Katie Douglas is a fast-paced Omegaverse that started running from the very first sentence and by the end of the paragraph I was completely hooked by the storyline and that was only the prologue. Getting to know Jessie and Thorun while immersing myself into their lives and situation kept me captivated. Oh, but wait until you literally see them in action within your mind! Yes, you read that right. The visuals alone were HOT and Katie Douglas' words only added fuel to that fire. This was one exhilarating story that I'm hoping turns into a series.

Nothing is more compelling than survival of a species, but when the only solution was to send the weakest of them away, can the species recover? For 25 years, the search has been ongoing to find the ones who were lost due to sabotage. When one is found, will she be the start of a new hope? Or will the new threat that arises challenge the possibility of a future? Aliens, space battles, tea ceremonies and a romance that has more troubles than should be contained in one story.

Omega Found....

Alien Alpha’s walk among us searching for their missing Omega’s..so when Thorun scented an omega at a nearby by burger restaurant....
Jessie was having a really bad day first she is running late then she finds herself fired from the restaurant she worked at..only to be informed and taken by Thorun as one of the missing Omegas...
With a bit of mystery, adventure, humour and misunderstandings over the romantic complexities of being human made this a joy to read..

Finding his mate

Thorun has no idea that when he finds one of the missing Omegas on Earth that she would be his mate. Jessie was brought up in the welfare system and has always had to look after herself. What happens when a person who has always regarded herself as human is told she's not. Can these two resolve their differences? Read and enjoy. I would happily recommend this book.

Genuinely not my favorite. I was all for the miscommunication/misalignment of how different characters were raised, but when Thorun didn't really try that hard to address the barrier between him and Jessie, and then Jessie just accepted it, I was not a fan. I think Jessie was a weak FMC, and Thorun's aloof alpha persona just didn't work for me. I did appreciate the female alpha/male omega aspect, and the plot twist towards the end was definitely a saving grace in my eyes.

Get fired, find out you’re not from Earth and shot at? So not going to be a good day! But the heroine is determined, resourceful and won’t stop until she gets what she wants. Unfortunately the hero is even more determined. The author throws obstacles in their path causing chaos, intense danger and nail biting action.

How can this story be romantic when a woman can't choose who to bond, or make her own desitions neither feel her own emotions. Those aliens are the most toxic race ever, the alphas manipulate and don't respect omegas while betas are just hungry for power, this plot is what love and commitment are not.
Couldn't finish this book because I can't stand the premise. And won't continue the series.

I felt like something was missing.

Despite the girl (Jessie the FMC) being kidnapped the aliens I felt made little effort to help her adjust to everything around her, and yes they learned a little of her culture and language they didn’t seem to understand most of the culture. Then acted shocked when Jessie didn’t get she wasn’t a human.

didn’t like it

Writing flow kept me reading but many things I didn’t like: Dominance, pain and type of sex. Just couldn’t finish the story. Don’t like the Alpha’s way of thinking. I’d try something lighter by this author if they have it.

My cup of tea..this book is not.So parts of this story made me want to smash my phone because of how frustrating the kind of "submission" required of the Omega....but if its your thing then well and good.

I’ve been loving omegaverse books lately, but didn’t enjoy this one. I didn’t like any of the characters. The whole ending was unbelievable and had this marathon of unrealistic things keep happening. It did have some good steamy scenes, but that was it for me.

Interesting, needs work.

The story line is interesting and engaging. The characters could use a little more work. The main female had the attitude of a teenage middle schooler. The main male isn't much better.

OK, I am not sure just what I think about this story. A lot of Alpha crap going on. Jessie being raised on Earth tried not to take his crap. A lot of very, very hot maneuvers going on also. It was a well written story. I wounder what happened to the other Alpha's left to find their Omega's on Earth.
