This is an advanced/adventurous beginner friendly knitting pattern that will guide you step by step to making the warmest ever winter balaclava! A balaclava is a hat and a scarf, two in one. It will stay put, it will keep the ears covered at all times and it will also keep the neck warm without adding a bulky scarf that needs to be tied around the neck. This one is knit in two layers, in DK yarn. The warmth of the yarn is doubled here; no matter how cold it gets, it will keep you warm! The pattern comes in many sizes, you can make one for every member of your family and for everyone you want to wrap in a warm, cozy hug of handmade goodness. The pattern is for 0-6 months size, 6-12 months size, 12-24 months size, 2-5 years size and 5 years to adult (that size will fit most adults - it will stretch to fit up to 60cm / 23.6in heads!).A part of the hat is knit flat, a part is knit in the round.
