Hey, I’m Amy, I write books for folks who crave laugh-out-loud paranormal mysteries. I help bring humor into readers’ lives. I’ve got a Pharm D in pharmacy, a BA in Creative Writing and a Masters in Life. And when I’m not writing or chasing around two small children (one of which is four going on thirteen), I can be found antique shopping for a great deal, getting my roots touched up (because that’s an every four week job) and figuring out when I can get back to Disney World. If you’re dying to know more about my wacky life, here are three things you don’t know about me. —In college I spent a semester at Marvel Comics working in the X-Men office. —I worked at Carnegie Hall. —I grew up in a barbecue restaurant—literally. My parents owned one. If you want to reach out to me—and I love to hear from readers—you can email me at amyboylesauthor@gmail.com. Happy reading!
This was really good. A spiral appears on Norma Ray's barn wall and turns out to be a portal. Anything you wish for comes out of the portal. After Norma Ray, Maleen and Urlene spend an entire day wishing for ever thing they can imagine Maleen makes one last wish to have her son back. And he comes out of the portal exactly as he was when he disappeared years before. He hasn't aged and he doesn't remember anything about the years he's been gone. Meanwhile the portal starts growing and Willard remembers a remembers a story from his childhood where a portal suddenly appeared as mysteriously as this one, granted all kinds of wishes and simply disappeared - taking the whole town with it. So Rufus and Clem look for ways to destroy the portal with some help from a magician and his assistant who also happen to be a wizard and witch and coincidentally showed up at the same time as the portal.
This is an entertaining paranormal cozy mystery series. A fun cast of characters and a entertaining storyline. Clementine is a witch in a small town. She owns a home renovation business. She goes out in renovates barns and homes for others as well as on occasion she will buy a home renovated and sell it. She recently found out that she still had grandparents of who you will have to read the earlier books to find out that story. Along with her boyfriend Rufus who is also a witch they help the town with magical issues and on occasion solving crimes. Sometimes they just end up saving the town from supernatural danger. The stories are always fun and entertaining and a good read. This series is a spinoff of the sweet tea witches series by the same author. Also a great series.
My favorite of Amy Bottles series Rufus character has grown become more complex for the first book in sweet tea series . but Lady the talking mini long steals all the scenes she in. Drowning his sorrow in bar drinking beer I can see my dads standard wire hair dachshund doing that mine would be eating their sorrow . lol! Hunting for spells as colorful orbits of lights is such unique idea I love it I imagine them has co!or ful lightening bugs dancing in sky . honestly the plot is great with twist and some red hearing thrown in and characters are fun nicely developed . this is my favorite book in this series.
If I’m not mistaken, no one had to die in this one! Yay. Well, I suppose one person sorta did, but she was evil and wouldn’t ever be good. Also, she was happy and had peace at the very end.
I honestly thought Matthew would end up staying and that maybe it actually was him, but it is important to let go sometimes. That was a serious subject, ya’all, when a loved one disappears and the not knowing is what hurts so bad.
In this book Norma Ray has a portal in her barn that gives people whatever they wish for. Clementine and Rufus finds out what will happen and decide to close it to protect the town. I was surprised by who made the portal and was surprised by the ending. Amy Boyles always writes books that keep me intrigued.
Another good read froom Amy Boyles. I stayed up most of the night to finish it. I particularly like talking animals. I love to read about Rufus and hope he will propose to Clem very soon.
Amy Boyles never fails to entertain with her books. She writes small town southern characters with exceptional accuracy. I'm also from rural North Alabama and I love that her characters are not over-the-top exaggerated southern.
I loved reading this series, the characters are awesome, the story line follows thru in each book and you don't miss a beat...I can not wait until the next book comes out so that I can read more
This book is a fun read! I really enjoy the characters and the steady pace of the plot. I enjoy that the story builds from book to book, but the major mystery is wrapped up by the end. I definitely recommend this series!
Clem falls in to more mayhem by accident, as usual, strives with Rufus and the others to overcome another deadly threat to the town, before discovering her innate abilities
This couple join forces to fight the Magic that threatens their town and everyone in it. Their feelings for each other is another kind of magic that just keeps growing.
What a dream come true! Anything you could wish for you got. What would you ask for? Is it too good to be true?? Clem, Rufus, and the rest of the group deal with these very questions. Great read as usual!
A portal opens in the side of a barn, a long lost son reappears from said portal! What is it, is it good or evil. What will come out of this portal next. Read the book and find out.
Readers will find out why it was good that genies only give three wishes. A mysterious portal grants wishes, but someone goes too far and the portal threatens the existence of the town. This book had a bit more threatening action and mob madness than previous books.
This book was way more about spell hunting and spell breaking than magical renovation. I can't help it. I don't like Rufus. I'm never going to like Rufus. Maybe it's time for me to give up on this series.
Ship lap and Spell Hunting (Magical Renovation Mysteries book 6
This was another winner. I highly recommend all her books and different series. She writes wonderful characters and great paranormal mysteries. I am ready for book 7. Diana Romano
This is a well written and developed characters. The story is catching and with the strong characters makes for a very enjoyable read. Great Reading Everyone!
This time Clementine has a mysterious magical portal to deal with, with some unexpected and unfortunate complications, including a side order of murder! Good read.
