Really good follow on

Good story, great characters, enough stats and levelling to be interesting without bogging the story down and developments that left legitimate tears in my eyes, both happy and sad.

One of my favorite "urban" litrpg series.

Can't really praise it enough. Really great writing and the author does a great job of weaving the myriad of mythos from the world into the story.

Awesome all around.

They walk among us. Great urban/realm litrpg series

Metal, dogs, love lost. New friends and a fight against the hell realms. This story brings humor, action and a chance to save those enslaved in hell

Worth it!

Great story though maybe a touch obvious with subterfuge at times but it’s moving in a way that I like. I’ll be buying book three!

Better than the first

I love grumpy old dwarfs, add whisky and he's funny as hell. The first book got me hooked and this one made me both laugh and cry.

Read the first book. Enjoyed it. Read the second. Loved it. Likeable, dynamic characters who actually seem to have a learning curve. POV moves back and forth through time with multiple settings with unique quests. Light use of gaming stats, cool new equipment upgrades, and an unusual way to highlight the introduction to new characters, buffs, equipment, and items. The series contains allusions to Forgotten Realms, Dungeons and Dragons, MMORPG's, Star Wars, and myriad others that I know I missed.

My only complaint about the book relates to personal preferences about profanity. While the foul language does not overwhelm the book by any means, I believe the author does cover the use of every cuss word. Nevertheless, these words are usually used in dialogue by characters with legitimate reasons to swear.

Absolutely suggest reading this series, and I will continue following the author.
