I may be the god of war, but I get no respect from anyone. The gods and goddesses all consider me nothing more than a whiny child. I’m tired of the disrespect I’ve lived with my entire miserable life. It doesn’t help, that lately I feel as if something is missing, or maybe someone.
I have watched how happy Hades is with his mortal woman and I crave that happiness for myself. I see how finding a woman of his own has changed him and I want that for myself.
I want a woman who looks at me like I hung the moon and the stars. Someone who can look past my childish pouts and my bloodthirsty ways. A woman who will chase away the loneliness that long centuries of living has left behind. A warrior woman who will stand strong beside me through everything.
Can I find that? Is there a woman out there somewhere just for me? I don’t have any answers to that, yet.
Right now, I’m just a biker in the Steel Chariots, MC, and living in the mortal realm, but it’s only temporary. However, if the fates bless me with a woman, she will be anything but temporary, she will be mine, permanently.
I love the premise of the book. The gods roaming the earth looking for their love. While pretending to be a MC.
I didnt like the third person point of view writing. I also thought the medical side after the hs attack was awkward. Like why would the doctor be that rude? It seemed forced.
the H had her call him Mad Dog. And it had me rolling. Lol
I did like the Hs possessivness of our h. I also liked how h was nice to him and really built him up. He seemed depressed before her.

Ares: His Warrior by E. Adamson was a fast paced read into the world of Gods and Goddesses surrounding the Steel Chariots MC as they bring this story to life. Ares god of war gets no respect from his family who shun and ridicule him. Ares yearns for a woman to love him like Hades has found, as he is living a lonely existence, is it too late for him? Cathy is a young woman who has not had an easy life, abused by her step-brother she finds herself in a serious situation when she goes to get him at a bar as his mother is dying, he beats her and is about to kill her. Ares who has noticed her follows them outside and hears her screams, now he will intervene when Death is ready to take her as he is told it is Cathy's time, but with this strong connection to her that he can't seem to understand he will not allow her to die. Now he takes matters to end Ed and get Cathy to the hospital in time. As she recovers , Ares will be the one to take care of her as the chemistry between them is driving these two together. Now passion and desire is building the more time they are with each other, could fate have a hand in this? Ares finds that he needs to take his time with Cathy and control his desire as she needs to know who he is before they can become one. Between family confrontations and others interfering in his relationship, Ares now tells Cathy his true identity but finds he has to show her proof. How will she take the news once he takes her home, meets his children who are a force all in their own and proves he is telling the truth? Once Cathy learns the truth at first she says she needs time as all of this is a lot to take in, but the more they are apart she knows that she loves him with his childish pouts and warring ways. With a little help from Thanatos they finally come together. With her knowledge of Greek Mythology, Cathy will get a first hand experience when she meets his family especially Zeus who only shows contempt for his son when they agree to marry. They will soon learn that Cathy has no fear, and she stands her ground with these gods and shows them she will not be intimated and will be by Ares side living up to the name Ares gave her, warrior woman. This story will hold your interest starting with a wedding, especially with Meg who is like a mother to Cathy who just might have secrets of her own. This feisty older woman will unleash her wrath on Zeus when drunk he wants to interrupt the wedding and is told to clean up his act and fix his family as Ares and Cathy have been brought to together by fate as they all witness who Meg really is. Now that fate has blessed this union, Ares finally has found his warrior woman to spend eternity with full of overwhelming love and happiness. If you love Greek Mythology, then this series is a must read.
Ares has always felt like an outsider with the other gods. His past was filled with so much anger and mistakes, he feels like nobody cares for him. When Zeus went on this MC kick and force everyone to join, Ares went along with it. He is now Mad Dog, the sergeant of arms of the MC. One night he is drinking in a bar when a beautiful woman comes in to talk to a lowlife. Ares is instantly drawn to her so when the lowlife drags her out of the bar Ares follows. He finds them in back of the bar where Ed is yelling and beating her up. Ares steps in when Ed tries to kill her even defying Death and Fate which most gods refuse to do. He takes her to the hospital and stays when she asks. Confused by his strong feelings for her, he offers to take care of her when she is released from the hospital.
Cathy has had a hard life. She was kicked out her house when she was 14 and was homeless for a year or 2. Then a nice lady, Lucille came into her life and offered her a home. She now had a place to live, food to eat, and a chance to finish school. The only problem was Lucille's son Ed who went out of his way to make her miserable. When Cathy turn 19 she moved out on her own for a few years until she learned that Lucille was dying of cancer. She returned to live with her. One night when Lucille was fading she begged Cathy to find Ed and bring him home to say goodbye. Cathy followed her wishes and tracked down Ed at a bar. For her efforts she gets badly beaten and almost killed but a sexy guy saves her. Even though she has never seen him before, Ares makes her feel safe. It is as if they were fated to be together.

This was a fantastic read. Ares is the Greek God of War. He is Zeus and Hera’s son and has been treated like crap his whole life. He is ridiculed by his family and made to feel like every thing he does is stupid. My heart went out to him and all he has had to endure.Eros and maybe Thanatos like Ares. Cathy has felt like only one person has ever cared and loved her. That would be Lucille. She took Cathy in when she found her on the streets. Lucille’s son, Ed, was definitely a piece of work (not in the good way). He treated Cathy like crap and abused her constantly. Cathy is such a strong and spirited woman and she would never let him know she feared him. When Ares first sees Cathy, there is a strong connection and something just draws him to her. He ends up saving her in more ways than one as she does with him. These are two lonely souls who end up completing each other. What will happen when Cathy finds out who he really is? Will she run for the hills? Will Zeus be the typical jacka** he always is and ruin things for Ares? You’ll need to read this story to find out what happens. I am loving this series and while Hades and Poseidon are my favorite Gods, I am having some soft spots for the others I am meeting, minus Zeus. He can take his lightening bolt and stick of you know where. 🤣🤣 This story just flowed and there were no slow spots. I had a hard time putting its own, I just needed to know what would happen with these two.
Ares was a constant disappointment to everyone on Mt. Olympus. The guy who is always joked about and mocked. His parents think of him as a bother. No one really likes him, save Eros and maybe Thanatos... Why did he even join this silly MC anyway?
Lucille was probably the only person who cares if Cathy lived or died. She brought Cathy into her home, got her back in school, and made it possible for Cathy to exceed in life. When Lucille became ill with cancer, Cathy moved back to take care of her, even if it meant coming back in contact with the man who tormented her day and night while she was younger.
There is something about Cathy that calls to Ares. He can't get her out of his mind, and doesn't want her to see him in a negative light. He would defy death, the fates, and the gods to keep her safe. Was it possible that she might feel the same about him?
This second installment of the Steel Chariots MC is a dream to read. The writing is so smooth that your mind loses track of time. It is not a negative that the story sucks you in, and before you know it you'll be cheering for Ares and Cathy.

Loved reading this story as much as the first in this delightful series about the Greek Gods who formed their own MC Club on Earth when Zeus got bored on Mt. Olympus. This romantic Steel Chariots MC story is about Ares, God of War and Courage, and the human woman, Cathy Vargas. Ares in this story was well depicted to his true history since actuality he was not well liked among the Gods or had as much worshipers as the other Gods and Cathy was a character I totally embraced. Ares sitting at a table in the corner in the club laments watching the love between Aphrodite and her husband Hephaestus and Hades with his wife Irina. Ares wants a woman who will love and support him. Fed up, Ares decides to ride and ends up on the bad side of town and stops at a bar and orders a soda when a women enters that catches his attention. Following her movement, Ares ends up outside where he hears her scream and sees her being beaten up. When Ares starts to intervene he sees Death who warns him, but kills her assailant and takes her to the hospital, changing her Fate. What occurs afterward between Ares and Cathy was a well written, engaging, page turner story I enjoyed and volunteer to read and review via Booksprout.
So we finally get more of the Steel Chariots MC. Here we meet Ares and Cathy. Ares just happens to be in the right place at a the right time when he first laid eyes on Cathy. Now remember who the Ares is, God of War. So he has no qualms when there is fighting going on around him. However, when he first see Cathy he has this pull to her and swoops in to save her. Now, this is where the story gets interesting. We learn so much about each of them. Cathy had a rough childhood but she also was taken in by Lucy. She learned a lot from Lucy but her son Ed was downright mean. Ares has been through some stuff and deals with a lot of bull from his parents and the other gods. However, the underlying chemistry that both Cathy and Ares have starts to grow. Their relationship builds everyday that they are together. Now even though Ares is perceived as the bad boy, he is the sweetest man there is. He does not push Cathy in any way. He remains a gentleman the WHOLE TIME! I mean like my head was kind of spinning. The story builds up and so beautifully and I really enjoyed it.

I really enjoyed this retelling of the Greek Gods we all know and love. Zeus wanted to do some roleplaying, founded the Stella Chariots MC. He summoned more than a few Gods to form this. What is surprising about this retelling, is the spin that E. Adamson puts on it. Being gods, they suprisingly deal with many issues, including their namesake.
Ares and Zeus have terrible relationship. Zeus is petty, mean-spirited, and let's Ares know how much he hates him. Ares does the best he can by trying to ignore, or one up Zeus, but Zeus thrives on picking on him. It is after a particular fight, Ares finds himself at a rundown bar, on the wrong side of the town. When a woman walks in, he feels himself drawn to her. The woman looks around the bar, and heads to a table where she is yelled at, then dragged outside. Ares cannot stop himself from following....
Readers: this is a beautiful love story. If you think in terms of how long a God lives, their immortality is lonely, unless they find their true soulmate. This book had me thinking in different ways. I am looking forward to the books that follow.

This is the first book I've read in this series and could be read as a standalone. The author E. Adamson does a great job in getting the reader up to date on the MC overall premise. It seems Zeus gets bored easily and decided to make all the other gods & goddesses take the form of a MC on Earth. I think this is pretty hilarious to begin with. Among those is Ares, the God of War, who feels like everyone picks on him, he never does anything right, nobody loves him...you get the picture. When leaving a bar, he sees Cathy being beaten by her "step-brother" and Thanatos, the God of Death, is standing there ready to take Cathy. Ares intervenes and saves her and continues to save her. I thought the was a clever, steamy, witty, action packed read. Cathy was a compassionate, compelling character and Ares was a whinny pants, but lovable. Well paced, fun read.

Ares is bored and sick of being picked on by the other gods. He wanders in to a mortal bar and his attention is caught by the cautious Cathy. Cathy ends up getting attacked by a friend's son. Ed plans to kill Cathy and Ares steals her from Death's grasp. He is drawn to her and tells the hospital he will care for her until she can take care of herself after all her injuries. Ares is kind to Cathy and takes care of her in ways she never imagined. While he is a hot god she has no problem calling him out when he is pouting or calming him when he is upset. This is a lovely book about two warriors who recognize in each other that missing piece that allows them to love. Read this to see how Ares and Cathy make it to a HEA that not many people suspect they have in them.

When the God Zeus is bored he decides to medle in the human world thisbtime he sets up a MC. Ares the god of war, known for his bloodthirst what's not know is how lonley he feels. I was a bit skeptical about the book but I thought I give it a chance. And oh man I am glad I did. Ares is not the most popular god among gods. His father and mother feel nothing but dislike and the other gods are not necessarily eager to be with him either. He wants what his brother has. A woman who is only there for him and who sees him as he is. Cathy's life is not easy, but she does everything human possible to fulfill her beloved foster mother's last wish, but that almost kills her - if it weren't for Ares and his will to oppose fate. For a woman he doesn't know. This book is very sweet but also violent but oh damn the sweetness makes it all so much better. I also like the fact that this is not just a story - you'll learn also a lot of Greek mythology. Let's see who is next :)
Ares, despite being the god of war, got no respect from anyone on Mt. Olympus. The others are annoyed by him and he has only one or two friends. He feels that something is missing in his life, but he doesn’t know what that might be. He has noticed how Hades changed when he found a mortal woman. Perhaps he needs such a woman himself?
When he saw Cathy, he felt drawn to her. She has been through much, but she is strong and will face anything head-on. When she was badly injured by her step-brother, almost beaten to death, he went to her rescue, not allowing Death to take her. He would do anything to keep her safe. Could she be the warrior woman he has wanted by his side? Will she still love him when she finds out who he actually is?
Wow! This book is fantastic! This is my first book by this author. So glad I took the chance to read this story. The characters are complex and have many layers to them. You see what they want you to see on the surface while longing for you to look deeper! The book is packed with danger, emotions, desires, some twists and longing. Can Ares and Cathy overcome their pasts and personal demons to find happiness and love? Is it possible for either of them to show and give that kind of trust? Is a HEA possible for these two? Check out the book and follow along on their journey. You will be glad you did. Worth it ! I am voluntarily leaving my review after reading an advance reader copy of the book from the author. I can not wait to read more from this author.
So this story of Cathy and Ares surprised me. I was a little skeptical when I started reading this book, but to my utter surprise it drew me in! It was a different take on the greek gods, but it was fun and Ares was so sweet to Cathy! What I liked the most was the fact that I just had to finish it to see what happened even if this writers style of writing was at times a little stiff, it worked. I really enjoyed this book and will look for the first one that started this series! It is not necessary to have read the first book, but I am curious about Hades story!

What can you say about the god of war who is just looking for a little love and respect? Well, you can say Ares is seen in a different light in this book. Yes, he's still alpha but his vulnerability is put on display for all to see. Cathy is a strong female protagonist, but both characters seemed a little stiff to me. Thantos on the other hand seemed like he had the goldilocks effect and was just right. Interesting concept for a series, I'll have to backtrack where it started with Hades but this is a stand-alone book.

Ares by E. Adamson is Book 2 of the Steel Chariots MC series! It’s the story of Ares and Cathy. She is being beaten to death by a friend’s son. Ares, the God of War, has to help her, though he is tempting fate.
This story was an excellent romantic remake of the goods of Greek mythology!!! Completely enjoyable and entertaining!!! Using a mix of actual mythological events…and created situations/people in this story…it’s a fun, exciting read!!!!

I received an ARC from the author thru Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving my review. Ares is not one of the popular gods and can act like a child. He comes across Cathy and saves her against what was in store. He feels a connection with her and wants to protect, care for and love her. Ares really wants to be loved also. Cathy has not had an easy life but she lives it the best she can. When he saves her she realizes that there might be someone she can trust and love after all. I enjoyed their story. It was not what I thought it would be. It was hard to put down once I started it.

Ares the God of War is feeling disrespected at home. Je feels he is not being appreciated and is feeling g restless. He wants to find someone to call his and has not found anyone in the goddesses that surround him. He sees how happy Jades is so decides to look at a mortal. Je sees a woman being g abused by her brother and stops in to save her. Could this be the woman for him as she is strong and fierce? Wjat will she do when she discovers qho he really is? I loved this take on the gods. Having them in a motorcycle club all the better. Great story.

I love the concept and humor of having the Greek gods on earth in modern times at an MC and setting up a garage. Ares, the god of war, is lonely and tired of being yanked around by the other gods and goddesses. He is a big buff strong guy who does not particularly like humans much, but he saves a young woman from being beaten to death and takes her to the hospital. I really liked Cathy. Even though poor, she stood up for herself and was determined to succeed. So starts a rather humorous story of a god and strong human woman. I will not say more so I do not spoil the story. Very nicely done.

When Ares sees a woman in trouble he steps in and save's her life, death has informed him it was her time but Ares couldn't let it happen. He feels something pulling him to her and can't figure it out yet. Cathy has never had a family to speak of so when she is taken in by Lucille who was good to her and Cathy was grateful even though it came with Lucille's evil son Ed. So when she seeks Ed out at a bar to get him to come home his mother is ill she finds herself at the end of his fist on the verge of being murdered. When she comes to she finds a man looking at her and she knows he is safe and feels safe in his presences.
This MC biker club is made up of Gods Goddess that have nothing better to do than mengal with humans. What could go wrong? This Book is all for Ares and Cathy story. I cried for Cathy she maybe a fighter but she wants someone to keep her safe and love her. I love all the stuff these biker gods and biker goddess get up to in this book. They all seem to have advice to give but do not always have the best advice to give. I loved this book and the first one too. I can not wait for the next one too.

Ares is known as a ruthless bloodthirsty strong God of War. War is in his blood and that is something he cannot change. Especially nowadays when people perceive the battle in everyday life through problems and obstacle they overcome, meaning Ares is very much alive but loneliness lingered to long in his heart... The woman for him is truly worthy of him as he is of her and I simply know their life will only get better and better...

The Gods are bored and restless. They decide to roleplay in the human realm. Each of the gods are slowly finding the other halves of their souls.
Ares, the God of War is considered the black sheep of the family. After thousands of years its starting to get old. He meets Cathy in a bar and saves her life and keeps her from deaths grip. The fates have decided that Cathy should be Ares’ other half. And while she isn’t sure about him at first he does win her over. Their love was written by the fates themselves and no one dares to mess with fated love.
Ares is the second book in this series and I have to admit that I fell in love with Ares and Cathy. I am hooked and I have never looked back by starting this series. Ares is the God of War but he has a beautiful soul and is sweet and caring. Enter Cathy and he becomes an alpha male. They are so good together and you can almost hear the sparks flying. Well written with a lot of great background by the author that is quite a compelling read. Highly recommend this book and series.

I have read Miss Adamson before and I have enjoyed her stories. I like this series because it is different from all other paranormal stories out their. Not only does it give in-depth characters it offers so much to the reader. It is visually stunning and conceptionally a remarkable read. I enjoyed it and actually did not want to leave this universe. You get the best of both worlds in that not only do I get my Biker fix but I also get my Romance fix. Oh yeah! Love this universe!

I seriously LOVE this series soo much! This book was just as engaging and page turning as the first book. I loved Ares, he was sweet underneath all his bloodthirsty tendencies he has for being the God of War. He was a perfect alpha hole that was protective! Cathy was such a good match for him! You won’t regret reading this book.. I highly recommend this series! I can’t wait to see who book 3 is about.

Oh I really liked the idea of this book - The Gods as part of an MC, the Steel Chariots. This story is about Ares (God of War and Zeus' son) and a mortal called Cathy who he saves. With amusing human-like emotions, Ares opens his heart to Cathy but will Cathy open her heart to the blood thirsty God of War? Totally enjoyed this easy read.

Ares: His Warrior by E. Adamson is book 2 of her Steel Chariots MC series. Ares is the god of war. Her is the son of Zeus and Hera. He has never known love of any kind. Not from his parents, siblings or a good woman. Can a mortal woman give him something he's always needed? E. Adamson's twist on Greek mythology is wonderful. The characters are amazing and well thought out. I can't wait to see where the rest of the series goes.
Ares is the God of War. He is treated like a nuisance by all of the other Gods and Goddesses. Cathy is a kind soul and loves helping others. She is about to meet death when Ares steps in and saves her. I love MC Romance and I really love the paranormal MC. This is a great series and I look forward to reading more
