Well... I might just stay up until I finish reading... I don't think I could go to sleep without knowing how it ends. As far as I know, some people like it, some people hate it... I'm looking forward to knowing how things go.
Countdown to Heaven: 3 Days until the New Moon (ch 712) has me hyped for Jotaro possibly being revived, the reunion between the Dolphin street gang, and Versace's stand. It's so messed up, I love it!
Underworld part 1 (ch 713) was quite suspenseful with the hole and teleporting. Now, I'm really curious as to what Versace's stand and ability is. I was also so amused by Hermes here. She really just wants to look out for Jolyne!!
Underworld part 2 (ch 714) finally explained Underworld who was so cool and somewhat disturbing. They are Moody Blues's and Oasis's lovechild.
Underworld part 3 (ch 715) was so crazy because they were technically stuck in the past?? As usual, the Joestar pulls through with their quick thinking, determination, and sheer dumb luck.
Underworld part 4 (ch 716) was so funny. God hates Versace. Jolyne relies on Emporio so much, and he is actually able to help them. Then there's Pucci being such an *ssh*l* who keeps reminding Versace he's no match for Jolyne.
Underworld part 5 (ch 717) had some of the prettiest panels as well. I will be sad if Hermes sacrificed herself for Jolyne.
Underworld part 6 (ch 718): I cannot believe that Weather Report is actually even more powerful than he already is. I love whenever Jolyne unravels herself. And I love Dio's sons, and how once they gain power, they don't want to relinquish it. Their lives were just so bad.
Heavy Weather part 1 (ch 719): I love Weather, who is an even bigger *ssh*l* than Anasui.
Heavy Weather part 2 (ch 720): The snails were so gross, and there's just something about Anasui being the one to finally babysit Weather that's just so funny to me.

Underworld was pretty neat and I'm eager to see where Heavy Weather goes. I hope there's some sort of explanation for why snails is weather.
In general, I wonder if I'm getting burnt out on Jojo. I feel like I always tend to hit a slump around this point in each part. I did enjoy Underworld more than Sky High, but the conclusion Hermes came up with didn't make a lot of sense. I feel like a lot of the stands and the direction for this plot don't make a lot of sense. None of the stands have really left a strong impression on me, aside from maybe the Mickey Mouse one. Many of them have been these weirdly hyper-specific concepts. I don't really get Pucci's plan. Seems like he's just doing random stuff because Dio said it'll make something good happen. It feels very abstract. And the translation has been pretty shoddy, which doesn't help any of this.
I actually liked this volume. But for some reason I haven't felt enthusiastic about Jojo's for a while. It kind of feels like Stone Ocean doesn't have something for me to latch on to. Something that really sinks its hooks into me. Something I'm really into that grounds the rest of the story.
I dunno. I'll probably take a break after I finish up Stone Ocean.
Things are picking up and I’ve got the same buzz that I get right before something fucking insane happens in Jojo LMAOHDHSHS anyways as soon as I saw a plane I knew some shit was gonna go down because of the motifs in every part 😭😭 THERES ALWAYS A PLANE CRASH, A DOG DYING IN THE MOST CAVALIER WAY AND AN UNNECESSARY AMOUNT OF PEOPLE DYING HDSHHWBS
HOLY MOLY… things are happening so so fast. something is wrong with weather report and jolyne doesn’t want to admit it and ermes is just trying to make sure versace ends up dead because of the hell he has put them through… i am on the edge of my seat. this volume is so so good, one of the best ones yet.
The pacing of this volume was really good, and again I liked that there was more dialogue in the fights than in some of the earlier volumes. There was a shocking twist in the last two chapters that I wasn't expecting, which was executed pretty well.
Underworld was also an interesting Stand too that got used effectively, although you would think that Versace might have picked a different means of using it. Like some other Florida event? Idk
