Ahhhh!! Dreamy bachelor meets brother's little sister? Talk about SWOON! 😍 I loved Drew and Elissa's story so, so much, and I would 10/10 recommend it. I'm already excited to see what happens in book two!!

Hot and Bothered. That's my definition of how I'm feeling after reading this short and sexy book. Drew and Elissa, total alpha and unassuming virgin. Totally worth this one sitting read. It's every woman's "romance fantasy" and especially when Drew absolutely flips and tells her she is not going anywhere, when she has only just walked into his penthouse. Big smile on my face after reading this story.

Holy cow! I feel like after reading this novella I need to cool down! It was so spicy, EXACTLY what I'm looking for in a story, and got right to point with their relationship.
The author's writing is immaculate, and so enjoyable to read. Everything flowed so smoothly and I could get enough! 20/10 recommend reading this!

I usually read dark romance but I like to read something quick, fun and with a HEA in between them and this book hit the spot perfectly.
This is a quick read with all the bells and whistles, there’s the love story, there’s the HEA, theres the alpha growl (no book should be without the delicious man growlie) and then there’s the smut, it’s all there in it’s beautiful, smutty goodness.
This book is the perfect quickie that delivers the sass, the happy ending and the happy ending at the end.

Making Her Mine, part of the Between the Sheets series, was about 30-year-old Drew Cohen, CEO and owner of a tech company, and 25-year-old Elissa Jones, a copy editor/proofreader for the Lakeview Publishing Company.
Drew was not only Elissa's brother's best friend, but also his boss. When her brother called Drew while on a business trip and asked if his younger sister could stay with him while she was in town for a few days, Drew wasn't all too keen on it. However, he agreed. Upon seeing her for the first time, he immediately decided she was his and only his, and he set out to make that happen.
This story wasted no time with plot or character building. It went straight to dominance and sexual overtures by the MMC, and it didn't stop until the end of the novella. It reminded me of one of the few porn videos my ex rented, where the MMC entered the room where the FMC was, stripped, and they immediately began having sex. This story was no different. While it wasn't unpleasant, it wasn't pleasing either.
I don't understand why authors have to make their MMC almost always take it for granted that the FMC is or has been sexually active in her life and automatically assume she will like the BDSM style of intimacy.
The story was ok, if a little unbelievable. Still, it earned a two-and-a-half star rating, rounded up to three.

@authorelysekelly is another favorite of mine and these little novellas she has lined up are just the perfect quick and steamy read. Drew is the ultimate alpha and whoa dirty talk. Drew and Elissa are sweet, hot and their insta-love was perfection. I’m such a sucker for it. Elissa is new in town visiting her brother who is Drew’s best friend.

Sweet, sexy, and a whole lot of spice. This novella featuring Liss and Drew is an insta-love, brother's best friend, alpha jerk all rolled into one. As soon as they meet they know they will be each together and nothing is going to stop them. Drew is very possessive of her and makes it known that he is the only one for her. There chemistry is amazing and even though this was a novella I felt like I got an entire story out of it. It's a great pick me up or a quick read between books!

Steamy and Sexy. Drew and Elissa are a hot sexy instant connection that will leaving you wanting more. There is no #opause, but in this short novella you want more because it is that good. Elyse Kelly has a knack for giving us a well rounded story with depth of characters that you want more because when their story is over you just want to spend more time with them. Elyse Kelly brings the heat.

Uhhhhhh……I like instalove…..but this was just not instalove. More like immediate love 😂 um. Love at first sight after saying literally two sentences to each other. Maybe I wasn’t in the mood for such a quick attraction? Married by three months in the epilogue. He’s very jp though 🤷♀️ I dunno. 🥴🤪

The realism in these books are amazing! I love how the main characters POV are written. There is a small age gap! Drew is a cocky son of a gun with bde that follows suit. Elissa is the beautiful relatable women we all inspirer to be. She is humble and down to earth. The spicy level is on point!

For a quick and steamy read, this is a good one. It starts with little background information, dropping you almost right into the action, which is appreciated when you just want something quick. I usually am not a fan of virgin tropes, but this one didn't bother me.

Oh my God so I am a huge fan of Elise Kelly and she is so freaking adorable and such a nice person I have the pleasure of speaking to her and interacting with her on a personal level and she is amazing so when I received a copy of this before it was released I was ecstatic! After reading this I just had to leave a review the steam level is off the chart! I love the characters chemistry. I love how the MC isn’t a dippy Virgin and don’t know anything for herself, she’s smart and independent and knows what she wants, she just happen to be a Virgin and I’m here for it! Love how the brother was protective of his sister but also a good friend. I’m a sucker for good friendships. All in all the books was a solid 4.5 didn’t give the .5 because some of the dialogue between the two MC was a bit cliche at times and predictable but Elyse did a wonderful job. Definitely will read anything attached to her name.

I wouldn’t call this insta-love more immediate-love; this novella went from 0 to 100 I had re-read a few sentences again.
Elissa and Drew have never meet before even though Elissa is the younger sister of his best friend, Thomas; yet the moment Drew sees her, he is done for, like the man is thinking wedding and pregnancy thoughts right off the bat.
I usually enjoy insta-love, but this was over the top for me and Drew did get on my nerves with all his “she will be mine because I always get what I want” talk. Elissa was a bit naive in the way she acted with a total stranger. Honestly, Thomas was the only person who had a reasonable reaction because his sister decided she loved a guy within 12 hours of meeting him.
Also, I do love an alpha male, but for me Drew was just a controlling butt barnacle, especially when he inserted himself into her job office tour with her boss as well as threatened her boss out of jealousy.

This steamy, short story is about two people meeting and there is an instant attraction. I'd consider this falling under the "brother's best friend/boss" trope and while it is extremely fast-paced, I believe this story could have been extended for more depth. However, this book came up at the perfect time in my reading schedule and was just what I needed to get out of a reading slump. Quick, to the point, steamy in all the right places.
Drew is an alpha and billionaire. Elissa is a down-to-earth editor. Instant chemistry and I'd even say soulmates. However, this isn't a prince charming or a rescue. No fairy tales or fantasy. This is a real-world setting, lustful claiming of a beautiful woman by a man who can buy anything and ends with a happy ever after for both.

Just a quick message. This series is an instalove series. The books are short, smutty, and the love is.. well.. INSTANT. If that's not your jam, don't read it. If it is, then continue :)
With that being said, Elyse does the instalove trope well! She gets the first started and holy moly it gets HOT FAST! This one is a brother's best friend situation that's bound to cause friction (you can decide where!) Between the characters, the heat, and yes, there is a bit of plot mixed in here, it's absolute perfection in a short, quick read.
