This is a collection of sporty reads written by some fantastic authors.
My review is for HM Shander’s Swept by Desire.
This is a fantastic story about Brook and Gavin. It’s an exciting story set in the world of curling which in itself is very intriguing . A romantic story about a coach and his player that get closer and closer despite it being forbidden for them to have a relationship. It’s emotional and their chemistry is so hot it’s off the charts and I loved it!

All of these authors knocked it out of the park. the field, scored a goal....A++++++ I am not big on sports romances but in these novella-sized stories the romances come first, then the author sets the stage using the ball, park, or field that fits best. Everything from Hockey to Rodeo and none disappoint. You can't go wrong with authors like Mandy Melanson, sofia saves, and rebecca lovell.
My favorite is Sunny Abernathy's "Almost Home". We meet Lillian who works too much, takes pills to steady her nerves, and never has food in her fridge. She is the promoter for a sports arena that is gearing up for its big 10yr anniversary celebration which means her ex-high-school-sweetheart will be in her city to play ball. Josh has pretty much been single since the love of his life walked away from him. Since then only baseball and traveling from city to city has filled his days.
Then he sees her, taking charge of the exposition game he came to play.
Ends as a happily ever after but we are left wondering what comes next and how are they going to do in that happily ever after!? Ever since "The Natural" I have been a sucker for baseball romances. and author Abernathy does not disappoint.

This review is for one of the stories in this anthology, Swept by Desire, written HM Shander. I really enjoyed this novella and got pulled into Brook and Gavin's story right from the start. I also learned about a new sport I had never heard of before, which was kind d of cool. Gavin is the new coach of Brook's team and not only is he a good coach, but Brook is super attracted to him. Only there are strict rules about players and coaches getting involved. Brook is a rule follower, but they can't deny their attraction to each other. The secret romance they have is exciting, but what will happen when their secret comes out? A great storyline that will keep you turning the pages anxious to see what happens and how it all turns out. An enjoyable and entertaining story I am glad to have had the chance to read!

I received a complimentary copy from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review.

I read Swept by Desire by H.M. Shander. Brooke is a real team player and rule follower. She's attracted to Gavin, the new coach. But romance is strictly prohibited by their club. I didn't read the blurb on this book before I chose it. It's sufficient to know the author in this case. Imagine my surprise to find out that the book is about curling. I've heard of curling before, but know nothing about the sport. I do know a good romance when I read it, and that's .exactly what this book is. You can just feel the chemistry oozing between Brooke and Gavin. The story is long enough to feel complete, yet short enough to read in an afternoon. I'd love to see more stories set around other members of the team (hint, hint!). I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.

This book pulled me in from the beginning and kept me riveted through the last page. The storyline is predominantly about "curling" of which I have no knowledge. However, I have children & grandchildren competing in a myriad of other sports and can appreciate the team spirit, the difference in 1/10 of a second makes, & the total commitment they make. The characters were well developed and it was easy to slip into their joy, angst, intensity and varied other emotions. I do prefer "relatively clean" romance, so there were pages that I chose to skim through. Other than that a well written story that I, personally, would like to see developed into a series.

I received an ARC copy of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review with my own personal opinions.

I really enjoyed reading, Swept by Desire by H.M. Shander because it was such a fantastic story about Brooke and Gavin. This particular story is included in this book. Gavin was the coach for Brooke's curling team. They definitely had a strong connection, but relationships with coach and players were forbidden. This was a steamy story that both characters had to keep secret. I loved the chemistry between Brooke and Gavin. This story was told in Brooke's point of view. I received a free book and am choosing voluntarily to leave a review. I loved it and would highly recommend reading.

This is my review for Swept by Desire by H.M. Shander. This is the first book I’ve read with curling as the sport of choice and I really enjoyed it. This is a forbidden romance between Gavin and Brooke. What’s going to happen when they’re found out? No spoilers, so grab your copy and see what happens. I hope to read more books in this series.
