Another look at the 'New' big two, DI Katy Foster and her fabulous partner, DS Charlie Simpkins(A close family member of Lorne!) as the two arrive to a crime scene of someone torched in their own vehicle. Who would do this...And Why?! Soon other men die harrowing deaths...And the stress on Katy continues...Then both her and Charlie see personal problems arise...At a time everyone is at their wits end!!! Will they be able to locate the murderer...Before all life plans go up in smoke?!
Another fabulous story by this author, who gives us an entertaining, intriguing, fantastic story Every time!! A suspect is found, who has a tearful motive and a horrific agenda...Then a child, part of the investigation, goes missing...Everyone is working through the weekend...Praying the child does not become a part of this murderer's plan...
I received an ARC from the author, who I thank profusely, and I offer You only my honest thoughts and feelings in this review. This 'Justice Again' series is amazing, start reading it Now!!!

DI Katy Foster and her partner DS Charlie Simpkins has one of their hardest cases to solve.

The first man murdered was tied, left in his car, while the killer set the car on fire. The second victim was run over repeatedly by a car.

What's the connection? There are few clues. The only witnesses they had were also murdered by the killer.

When they finally connect the dots, a child goes missing. With a child’s fate in their hands, Katy and Charlie are thrust into a dangerous race against the clock.

Just when I think this author's books can't get any better ... she surprises me. This is the 4th in this series and is well read as a stand alone. Page-turning action begins on the very first page and doesn't let up until the final conclusion. Katy and Charlie are excellent characters.. they work well together. I enjoy the blend of professional and private lives. I'm looking forward to their next adventure into the world of crime.

Many thanks to the author for the digital copy of this crime fiction. Read and reviewed voluntarily, opinions expressed here are unbiased and entirely my own.

I really enjoyed the storyline in this one. Obviously I can’t say too much about it but the reasonings and why’s, I could totally understand. Sometimes our justice system fails to give us the justice that is deserved, although I certainly don’t condone taking punishment into your own hands.

There is a high body count within a short space of time and as you would come to expect in a crime thriller, it becomes a race against time for the police to work out who is behind it to stop anymore people from dying. Will they get the culprit in time or will they be too late? Well you will have to read this nail biter of a read for yourself to find out.

Taste of Fury is a non stop page turner that will have you gripped from the first page, right to the very last word. I enjoyed that we get to know who the killer is from the off and knowing the why’s. It makes for an enthralling read in how the police work in narrowing down their killer. Due to knowing the identity of the killer, there aren’t any major shocks in store but the author makes up for that with plenty of twists and turns that had me on the edge of my seat, more so towards the end when things get extremely tense to say the least! A fast paced crime thriller you won’t want to miss.

My thanks to the author for an advanced readers copy of this book. All opinions are my own and not biased in anyway.

Another really engaging case for Katy and Charlie to work on.

In fact it take a while for the police to work out what was made obvious to the reader, and this time we also got to know the killer's name, motives, family life and glimpses into their mind too. Which is rather fascinating if not just slightly disturbing,.

What interests me most about this series is the dynamics between Katy and Charlie and seeing how they evolve, and after years of Katy being in Lorne's shadow it is still a few books in so weird to see her as the more experienced, dominant detective of the partnership.

And the insights into Katy and AJ's relationship, are startling to someone who has been rooting for them for well I lose track of how many books by now!

This is a book well and truly set in 2021 and has a few references to last year, and also impressively mentioning President Biden, so always nice to see its up to date. Apparently this has proven that I can cope with references to the pandemic in crime books, but not in the other genres I tend to read, probably due to expectation, which is a bit of a relief for me.

I always enjoying seeing just what dastardly crimes M. A. Comley will come up with next for her villains and I really did enjoy seeing Katy and Charlie trying to solve this one.

Another good addition to this series.

Thank you to the author for this copy which I have reviewed honestly and voluntarily.

Omg this is the best of the series. Katie is no Lorne but she is a strong character who really shows you so much. Things aren't always Rosie for her as well as her husband and daughter are in the backseat and it causes some friction.

Charlie is my favourite character that has come out of this amazing series. She is not like her mom but has her own abilities. Seeing her from the initial justice series I would never have expected this type of character growth to what we see now.

The unicorn did his best to screw her up but she was put through the fires of adversity and really has come up as the biggest winner. I just love seeing her strength and also her weakness. She is the ultimate character.

This is another fantastic book in the Justice Again series by M A Comley, a series that in my opinion is getting better and better with each new addition.

In this book Kate and Charlie are faced by a baffling, frustrating case in which a number of men are atrociously murdered over a number of days in different ways, ensuring maximum pain and terror before death. Due to the different MOs, Kate and Charlie find themselves out of their depth. They're not even sure this is actually the work of one killer or more. How can they ever solve these cases if the murders seem random and totally different? Apart from these murders, Kate has to deal with more problems arising in her personal life...

We are told who the killer is from the start, but that doesn't make the plot any less intriguing. When the reason for these killings became clear, I ended up understanding and feeling sorry for the killer as much as for the victims.

An intriguing, fast-paced plot, life-like characters and dialogues, ongoing banter and a built-up of suspense make this a very enjoyable read. Highly recommended.

DI Katy Foster and DS Charlie Simpson are back with a new case. They are called to a scene where a man has been torched in his vehicle. Who would want to kill him and why?

As more men are murdered, Katy and Charlie are in a race against time to put a stop to these heinous killings.

With problems in their personal lives to deal with as well, Katy and Charlie are kept on their toes.

This is another fantastic book in the Justice Again series. The author is very good at making you stop and think about the cases. We are getting to know and understand Katy and Charlie more with each book. I would highly recommend this book and the series.

This series of Mel Comley’s books whilst certainly not cosy, still have that feel to them. There is no gratuitous violence or graphic murder content which can make for uncomfortable reading for some. They are just good police procedural thrillers/mysteries.

Briefly, this book sees DI Katy Foster and her partner DS Charlie Simpkins investigate a number of very different murders. But are they linked? Is the same person the killer? When a suspect is identified a child has gone missing and both detectives are working all hours, but at the expense of their personal lives...

This is actually quite a sad story about the potential ramifications of a careless and dangerous act, that happened many years before, and how it can affect those involved. A good read. 5*

This case was a heart wrenching situation and included disabilities and mental illness. Made me sad, then I understood. I’m at peace with this magnificent duo’s handling of the case. Absolutely gutted, then healed by this brilliant 5-star read!

I love this series but this is the best so far. Great story and great characters lead to a fantastic read. Katie and Charlie make a great team and I enjoy hearing about their personal lives as much as their working ones. Can’t recommend this series enough.

Katy and Charlie are definitely the dynamic duo and this case is no exception. They are tasked with finding a brutal killer who leaves no forensic evidence and little else to go on. They must put their private lives on hold as the murders keep stacking up and until they can work out a connection they believe the killings will go on. Another great read in this series.

An emmotionally charged read.

In this truly heartbreaking story, men are being killed in completely different ways.  The only similarity is the extremely brutal nature in which the murders have been carried out.

The bodies appear within days of one another then, suddenly, the killer's MO changes and a young boy is kidnapped, forcing Katy and her team to give up their precious weekend in order to find and save him.

The reasons behind these seemingly unconnected and pointless, cruel murders, and the kidnapping of an innocent child, at first appear to be motiveless.  However, as the case progresses, it becones apparent that the killer has waited many years before seeking revenge.  Why?

This story will divide your emotions between the victims and their brutal killer.

Whilst murder cannot be justified under any circumstances and is punishable by  Law, you will find yourself asking what you would have done in the same circumstances?

Who will you feel compassion for, the killer or their victims, perhaps both?

A very compelling story with an outcome that is both unexpected and has ongoing reperussions.

Extremely compelling read.  Very highly recommended.

Megan Johnson was a girl to be reckoned with.
After her parents had been killed and her younger brother had been left severely disabled from a car crash caused by young joyriders, she decided to take the law into her own hands and take her revenge. One by one she took out her anger on the men in question giving them no chance to defend themselves.
DI Katy Foster and DS Charlie Simpkins had a difficult task of working out the crime scenes and eventually linking them up to an incident that had happened 18 years before. Working flat out they managed , with the help of their team to piece everything together.
A very well thought out book and one which I’d highly recommend.

M A Comley never disappoints and Taste of Fury was no exception, kept me totally engrossed and as usual felt a bit despondent when it came to an end. This is the 4th book in the series and it’s great seeing how the characters develop and grow, with just the right mix of glimpses into their personal lives. Charle is really turning out to be a chip off the old block. Loved the plot and the way it progressed, it was a real change that we got to find out who did it and what their motives were before the police did. Can’t wait for number 5.

No time to catch your breath with this book, it hits the ground running. A man has been torched in his own vehicle; DI Katy Foster and her partner, DS Charlie Simpkins, are called in to investigate. Over a week, more men are murdered and instinct tells our detective duo that they are connected.
Diligently working all hours, to the detriment of their personal lives, Katy and Charlie collate the clues to find the killer.
A cosy, contemporary read, despite the subject matter but also a sad indicator of the times we live in. Recommended.

So great to be back with DI Kate Foster and her partner DS Charlie Simpson. They make such a formidable partnership, and the series just gets better and better with very unexpected twists and turns.
This case is rather different to the others and keeps you on your toes and makes compelling reading. You will not be disappointed.
M.A. Comley has a very creative and fantastic mind that she puts puts into her books. Couldn't put it down. Can highly recommend this book.

When DI Katy Foster and DS Charlie Simpkins are called out to a murder scene where the victim as been burnt to death in his car, little do they know this is only the beginning.
Men are being targeted and Katy along with Charlie need to catch this killer before it is too late. Emotionally charged, I loved the interaction between these two women and how their personal lives are woven smoothly into the story.
This is the first book I’ve read by M A Comley but it definitely won’t be the last.

This was a tough read!

In the way that it's an emotional read. You have to place yourself in the murderer's place and try to feel how they felt during it all. And to top off the mental illness aspect of it, and so much more. Most times this authors books make me feel good at the end. The bad guy is caught by the good guys, and all is well for now. This one, there were no winners. So sad. But well written! So I think I'll come back to the last book maybe later this evening.

Good read

I am an avid reader of mystery stories. I don't believe graphic violence and gratuitous sex is necessary to entertain readers. This author delivers a great plot and characters in a clear and clean manner. I didn't have to close my eyes and skip pages and pages to know the ending.

Politics are a no no

I really enjoyed this author until politics were brought up. I have read all of M.A Comely’s series.
I couldn’t finish the book as soon as I read the part of our presidential election.
Sorry, but you are no longer on my list of reads.

What an emotive tale of how justice of lack of it affects us all. It is very eye

opening, and though provoking, a topic that is close to a lot of us in this b lame

I won't bore you but usual series rules apply - honestly, this series is excellent (as are all the others by this author) so you would be doing yourself a favour...
So we start with a body burned out in his own car. Enter our intrepid duo DI Katy Foster and DS Charlie Simpkins to head up the investigation. They have only just begun when the body count rises leading them to give up their precious down time to crack on with trying to work out why and, more importantly, who... And then things get worse when a child goes missing...
Oh my days, this author really does put me through the mill sometimes. You'd think, given the sheer volume of books she releases on a regular basis, things would get a bit samey. Well, if you did then you'd be wrong, so wrong. Every book is different, everyone contains a crime or series of that, well, pretty much eclipses what has gone before. Each motive unique and, as in this case, often heart wrenching. Leaving me as a reader torn between sympathy and empathy, and horror...
All delivered in the author's trademark no nonsense, no waffle, no padding, no words wasted way, and at a great pace. The reader is offered some respite from it all along the way too so the book remains balanced. As with all series books of this genre, you follow the characters away from work too, but this personal stuff never overshadows the main plot but does often deliver some really great humour and banter.
All in all, a cracking addition to what has to be one of the most impressive back catalogues I've ever seen. Roll on next time.
