Hidden truths that refused to stay buried have come out to chase me. Now I’m on the run, living under a blanket of constant fear, pretending to be someone I’m not. And if I’m not really me, how am I supposed to know what’s real?
-Angelo-
Watch the girl.
It was supposed to be a simple assignment. But like everything else in this family, there’s nothing simple about it. Not my task. Not her fake name. And not my feelings for her.
But Beth is mine now.
So when the monsters from her past come out to play, they’ll have to get through me first.
S.J. Tilly lives in Minnesota with her husband and their herd of boxers. She spends an unhealthy amount of time with her face buried in books, reading and writing. If she’s not nose deep in text, or harassing her dogs, she’s probably playing with her plants, pretending she knows how to garden.
You can find her stumbling around on Instagram @sjtillyauthor
Lemme tell you. I was legitimately laughing my ass off at different parts in this book. My heart also hurt at times for some of the characters. The depth Tilly creates in her characters is so incredible. And the stories she writes are so incredible. I loveeeeee this book even more than the first one. Angelo is definitely my favorite now, too. So thanks for that S.J. Between the hardships the characters go through and all that it is still a book filled with so much genuine love between Beth and Noah it made my heart so happy to see their relationship develop and expand. And so realistic. Like it was incredible! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 I can’t wait for your new series to come out.
I binged read Book 1 and Book 2 in one day! ONE DAY, y’all!!! Vincent and Sasha won my heart, but Angelo and Beth melted it along with my brain! I can’t with this book hangover.
This book made me feel every emotion I could possibly feel and made me laugh, cry, sigh, swoon and jolt. Everything! Absolutely everything.
A beast of an alpha like Angelo with his tough facade but sweet mushy heart and a badass, fierce and loving heroine like Beth made the perfect combination for a beautiful and intriguing sequel! They were just P E R F E C T I O N!
The love, the action, the family vibes and story full of redemption, hope and true love in allnits forms had my heart pumping fast and my brain reading till 2:30AM.
I can’t wait to read book 3!
This author won my heart already and I want to read every single title she’s written!
Entretenido, chistoso y cute.
Another fantastic read by SJ Tilly! The story was wonderful! It made me laugh and made me cry. Her character development is phenomenal - not just the main characters, but the side characters too. Totally gave me all the feels ❤.
Sin Too is a standalone and is the second book in The Sin series, but best enjoyed after Mr. Sin. It is written in first person with dual perspective.
S.J. Tilly is the queen of contemporary and/or mafia-lite romances about big and muscly dudes, curvy heroines, and their mutual horniness. 🤣
I had to refresh my memory on who Angelo was (he was introduced as the MMC’s giant bodyguard and cousin in Mr Sin, the first book in this series, you’re welcome), but I (along with Beth) was very into Mount Angelo. He was *smouldering*. The strong, silent and slightly stalker-ish type who has a penchant for swooping in to save the day.
The story was also fast-paced (she and her nephew are hiding from the bad guys, he’s been tasked with looking out for her but she doesn’t know it, cue horniness) and the audiobook narrators gave good performances.
Is this going to be a re-read? Probably not. But it was very entertaining and I thoroughly enjoyed it.
Mehhh/ big giant bodyguard type H & small curvy phys therapist/ not jp
This one I debated reading and I skimmed a lot of it not gonna lie. I kinda hoped Angelo would be a bit more dominate and aggressive being this giant head of security guy- but… it just didn’t so for me. Overall I liked the story but anyone who knows me, knows I need an aggressive H. I prefer OTT but don’t always have to have it, but I need my men to demand what they want, and take it. Not really just wait around and give space- F that, make her forgive you….. anyways…
Some things: -H is Angelo from book 1 but this is can be read without book 1 but helps. He’s head of security and described as a big hulk like dude. - h is a physical therapist, whose newly gotten custody of her teenage nephew and kind of on the run bc some bad dudes were after her brother and ex boyfriend -I liked the h and Noah and really all the side characters I just ended up skipping alot -There was alot of misunderstanding “he just left so he doesn’t want me” “oh she’s acting like she wants me to go so I should just leave” …. 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🙄 and he goes. And he gives her space… I don’t like space y’all… NO Space!! -Not Ow drama but it looks that way, but it’s not, at all. Really no drama Besides their angst bc they dunno what the other thinks or their taking time, and giving space ugh lol.
I won’t read the next bc I honestly don’t care to learn about John lol 😂
Once again another SJ Tilly banger. This is Angelo and Beth’s story. Angelo is tasked with looking out for Beth by his uncle Enzo after both her boyfriend and brother are killed. He wasn’t expecting to want her so much and definitely wasn’t expecting to fall for her but these things happen.
I loved the dynamics of the relationships in this book. Between young Noah (Beth’s nephew and ward) and Beth as well as Noah with Angelo. There was something quiet but nice about it. But what Tilly does so well is balance the humor, gruff you’re mine nature, and tension incredibly well that Angelo brings in spades.
I mean Angelo has that I can curl a flipping car look, and the man growls but also sensitive?? Um yes please. Also just enough humor to make it an easy story to enjoy.
The more I read of Tilly’s books, the more I love them. Another easy five stars.
SJ Tilly is quickly becoming a favorite author of mine! This is book 2 of the Sin Series. I loved this story about Beth, Angelo & Noah! Seeing Sasha, Annie & Vincent again was the icing on top! Beth, Noah & Angelo's story is unique. The instant attraction is pure happiness! Read this series now!
4.4 stars. Not my favorite from this author, but I did really enjoy the characters. Especially Beth and Noah’s relationship development. So. Fucking. Sweet. And Noah and Angelo? *swoon* I loved that.
The rest of it wasn’t as heartwarming and perfect honestly. Noah’s relationships were really the ones keeping me hooked and making the book kind of special.
I still liked Angelo and Beth together. But they just didn’t have the same connection as some of my favorite couples from this same author have.
Angelo had alpha-levels of intensity that did things to me on a physical and spiritual level. What a man! And Beth was an amazing female lead. I loved her (and Noah) since the very first page. Their chemistry was so good that I inhaled this book rather than read it. I think I melted every time he called her “baby girl”, which delivers differently coming from him seeing that he’s a giant of a man. Seriously, I loved this book even more than the first one! I also really adored Noah’s character. He’s Beth’s 16 year old nephew, and a promising hockey player. His scenes with Beth were filled with such unconditional love and emotion, and I adored his dynamic with Angelo. (I wouldn’t mind having a spin-off novel set in the future about Noah. Maybe with Annie? I just love both their characters so much, and I can see them fitting well together as adults. Bookish gods, make this happen!)
Sin Too was steamy, fun, emotional and intense. It’s the second in the Sin Series, but you can read it as a standalone as long as you don’t mind being spoiled some details from the previous book, Mr. Sin. (But please read that one, too!)
Thank you to the author for gifting me a copy. Opinions are my own.
I finished this book smiling like a middle school girl who just received her first kiss on the cheek from a boy she’s smitten with! And I mean.. blushing hard reading the epilogue!!!!!!! Please. I want me an Angelo.
I thought the first book was good, but oh my goodness. This book was soooooooo good! 4.75 ⭐️— ONLY because I thought the ending was kind of similar to the first book.
Beth & Noah are such sweethearts!! Beth is a SURVIVOR, ok?.. I loved the way the way they started to get comfortable around each other.. from hugging.. to finally saying I love you!
ANGELO?!? I loved him from the first book!! And what a hunk of a man 😆 Filthy rich. Funny. Kinda possessive. HUGE! — when I read the first book, I knew I wanted to immediately read his book!
Ok update.. I gave it 5 ⭐️😂 it’s just too good.
Ready to read the third book!
I’ll finish reviewing later, I need to take a breather 😮💨
Okay, this is my first 5 in a HAWT minute. I don't give 5 stars out loosely, it doesn't happen like that
this book taught me the meaning of love. I forget a lot of times what "I Love You" means, I thought it was something people say when they like each other acquaintances even. But it isn't like that at all. One has to be worthy of your love; it doesn't get said or passed around until the time is right and when you mean it. Anywho, this book was very beneficial to my life and my future as well. Although I will (probably) not find a man like Angelo (ngl I really hope I do lol) I can see the good qualities in someone else, and I'm only 15 years old but I'm way older in maturity and I need to remember to take life slower and not rush things. From the way things happened in my life, it caused me to grow up really fast but this book helped me remember that not everything is cupcakes ad rainbows but it's life and bad stuff will happen but it's up to you on how you navigate that, and that's my TED talk folks🤣
So, Noah just adds so much to the book that we didn't know we needed, like thank you Tillyyyy. it sucks so much that Beth couldn't watch him grow up but I feel like this book just makes up for lost time!
ALSO Can we all agree that Vincent is Nero in a alt world?!?! Bro is so iconic ✨
Gosh this book was so freaking good, like i'm flaburgasted. I need more of this frfr. But yeah, that's my review of this amazing book.
This was so beautiful, I’m absolutely obsessed with this book. Everything was perfect, I loved Angelo 🫠 Beth was such a beautiful soul and Noah was just adorable 🥰 if I could give this more stars I would
1.75⭐. Honestly, I was into it at first—especially Angelo. I mean, who wouldn’t fall for a big guy like him? But ugh… he’s unbelievably clueless. Everything was great at the beginning, but by the end he became so unbearable. That said, I’m still kinda obsessed with Noah and Angelo’s relationship.
S.J. Tilly’s dialogue is what keeps me cruising through her books. It’s witty and real and really helps make the story. She fleshes out every character with such detail, I have no trouble picturing them in my mind. Don’t get me started on Angelo ;)
I’m completely obsessed with this story… these characters… and SJ Tilly.
I was hooked from the very start and couldn’t get enough of the relationship dynamic between Beth & Angelo! This book had me squealing and giddy over how absolutely ✨delightful✨ Angelo was
There was the perfect balance of angst, drama, laughs, and romance! I couldn’t get enough and I never wanted it to end.
As always Michelle Sparks & Aiden Snow completely nailed their performances and brought these characters to life in phenomenal ways in the audiobook! (Dual narration)
You see I like to read about huge men a lot. And what If these huge men are written by one of my favorite authors in the world? Can’t wait to dive in book 3.
I don’t know how S.J. Tilly does it, but somehow the stories and the characters keep getting better and better!
I was so excited when I learned this book was about Angelo. I loved him in the first book! Angelo is Vincent/Mr. Sin’s cousin. They have a brotherly bond and are really close. Angelo is head of security, and another thing about Angelo is that he is big… like really big… 👀
This story is about Beth and Angelo. Beth has been through it. She’s a survivor and is trying her best to make a fresh start with a new place, a new job… and a new crush? Angelo is a big, hard man - but, on the inside, he is just a big softie. He’s kind of possessive but in a way that made my heart ache. That man is the definition of “swoon-worthy”. Angelo and Beth’s chemistry is incredible. Their push-pull was perfection and the spice was so hot! The passion, angst, and just the emotional aspect of this book were incredible.
This is a romance with so many layers. And again, I was hooked from page one. The story is well-written, and the characters are just sublime. I love it when a side character becomes a bigger part of the story without taking any “space” from the main characters, and S.J.Tillly masters this to perfection.
I highly recommend it if you want to read a softish romance, with some spicy and darker aspects intertwined. So so good!
i was excited to read this after finishing Mr Sin earlier this month, but the fact that i had to force myself to actually finish it bothers me so much especially since i love reading about other members of the same group or family so this was just disappointing
