Stryker County EMS Book 2 An Insta-love First Responder and Curvy Woman Romance
Molly I’m the local advice Blunt Amy. I make people laugh, which is great and all. But no one takes me seriously. In high school, no one ever thought I’d amount to anything. They weren’t kind about letting me know it, either. My class reunion is days away. I’m determined to prove every one of the haters wrong. If I can get an exclusive interview with the heroic EMT who saved the mayor’s daughter, I’m guaranteed a promotion to journalist. The only problem? Kaleb Hines has refused to be interviewed by anyone. Good thing I don’t give up easily.
Kaleb Ever since I rescued the mayor’s daughter, reporters have been hounding me nonstop. I don’t do interviews. I just want to be left alone to do my job. But one reporter catches me off guard. The curvy beauty might drive me crazy with her unwavering dedication to her mission, but I can’t seem to shake her. To be honest, I don’t want to. I want to make her mine.
Sweet & steamy short story insta-love romance with a first responder and curvy woman with an HEA. NO cliffhangers. NO cheating.
Instalove between a reported, Molly and an EMS, Kaleb. He saves the life of the mayor’s ten year old daughter. Everyone wants to interview him, but he doesn’t want the attention, he was just doing his job. Molly wants to become a full fledge reporter, right now she writes an advice column at the newspaper. If she can get the inter with Kaleb she will get promoted. She ambushes him a bingo night by volunteering when he does. Their attraction is hot but he is wary. She brings lunch to the firehouse hoping to catch him there and soften him up. After they almost kiss he tells her they are going to dinner. They go to his house after they meet for dinner, they can’t resist each other and have sex. He is feeling all kinds of wonderful feelings and tells her he wants forever with her. She is all in too. He tells her his story about how he couldn’t save another child when he had his first EMS call and has felt guilty because of it. When Molly’s boos asks her to add that to the story she refuses. She doesn’t think he did anything wrong and that shouldn’t cast a shadow on his heroic save of the little girl now. But her boss says if she doesn’t write it she’ll give it to another reporter to write and she’ll be fired. She writes it, with a positive spin and then quits. Kaleb’s sister tells him about the article, he’s mad at first but when he sees how upset Molly is, he listens to her explanation and realizes she didn’t sell him out. I love yous, epilogue two years later with them married, her writing for a new publication and with a son. Not sure why he felt guilty and what the big deal was with his first EMS call. Accident victims unfortunately sometimes die, so there was no scandal with his call. Didn’t make sense.

Kaleb is the second book in the Stryker County EMS series and is the story of Kaleb Hines and Molly Peterson. This book had me laughing and falling for the lovable Kaleb and the persistent Molly. Molly works for the Stryker County Gazette and wants to be a reporter, but there is a deadline of this coming weekend which is her high school reunion. Currently she writes the very successful advice column named Blunt Amy. Just as the names suggests Molly answers letters to both women and some men with advice that people need to hear. However, she has an agreement with her editor that if she can land an interview with one person who is not giving any interviews she will get moved off Blunt Amy and become a reporter. Kaleb works with his older brother Grayson at Stryker County EMS. The other week he saved the mayor's ten year old daughter when there was a car accident. Ever since then everyone has been trying to get an interview with him but he has been refusing to talk. His reason is personal and goes back to the first call he had after joining the EMS. But there is one reporter who just keeps on trying to contact him that he finds he cannot block, even if he does not answer her calls. She is so persistent that he has nicknamed her Scrappy Doo. With the pressure on Molly to get the interview she finds out that Kaleb is volunteering at the weekly bingo night and volunteers herself. Even when he still will not talk to him she continues to pursue him. When Kaleb first sees Molly he is immediately attracted to her, as there is just something that he cannot turn away from. When she shows up at the EMS house with his favorite chicken wings he decides that he has had enough......and tell her he will be taking her out for dinner that night. Forget the interview and lets just get personal. But can he trust her with his story, as there is just something that makes him want to tell her everything. Molly may get her interview but she is also going to have to make a decision at what cost when her boss gives her other information about Kaleb that he had told her but she had promised not to include in the article.
This was a really fun story that I enjoyed a lot. I have to say that I loved Molly as she is fighting to prove she is worth something but realizes that sometimes you have to do right by others at a cost to yourself. Kaleb is sweet and unassuming as he does not want the attention or spotlight. But he has to decide if he can trust Molly the reporter versus Molly the women he is drawn to personally. Putting your trust in someone can be scary but sometimes it ends with a really big prize. I am looking forward to the next book in this series.
I am voluntarily reviewing an advanced reader copy of this book.
Molly has dreamed of being a reporter for as long as she can remember but right now she is stuck with writing the advice column, a column that is known for telling it how it is. So when her boss offers her the chance of a promotion if she can get an interview with local hero Kaleb who rescued the mayor’s daughter, she decides that she is up for the challenge and is going to go all out to get the interview that could lead to the job of her dreams. It’s not until she meets Kaleb that she realises that this is a special man and they have a connection that is beyond real. But is Molly really willing to do whatever it takes to get the story and betray the man that she has fallen in love with, can she talk her boss into dropping the story?
Kaleb is being hailed as a local hero after he rescued the Mayors daughter, everyone wants an interview, an interview that he has no intention of ever agreeing to, that is until a very persistent woman leaves him message after message trying to get a scoop, but there is something about the voice that stops him from deleting or blocking the number, so he shouldn’t have really been shocked when she turns up to the station. And as much as he knows he shouldn’t he finds himself getting closer and closer to the determined woman and sharing things he never thought he would. So when intimate details are published there is only one person that could possibly have betrayed him. Will he listen to Molly and her explanation or should he walk away?
I fell in love with both of the main characters in this book, Molly was determined to show the world how far she could go and Kaleb is a man with a heart of gold, I couldn’t help but feel sorry for Molly when she finds herself between a rock and a hard place. If you like a book that is sweet, slightly steamy and easy to read then I honestly urge you to give this book a try. 4.2* Read.
What a fun story for the get go, there is a bit of drama but most of the tale will have you smiling to yourself. Kaleb works for the fire department, he prefers to keep to himself, but when he rescued the Mayor's daughter, everyone wants the scoop. Kaleb has been declining and dodging reports, but when Molly left a message it makes him stop for a moment. Molly has been writing an advise column, wanting to be more before her reunion will take a major win. That win is to get an interview with Kaleb.
Kaleb is drawn to Molly, why he is not sure. They have a great connection, and he is excited when he finds out she writes the column that is his guilty pleasure. Now I have to say what her boss did was dirty and underhanded, but come on would be expect anything less when we all know dirty sells. Kaleb and Molly have a sweet story that you will just melt into.

This book is about Molly and Kaleb. She writes an advice column for the local newspaper, the Stryker County Gazette, but is up for a promotion to write actual articles as a real journalist. The catch, she has to score an interview with a local paramedic hero who saved the mayor’s daughter’s life. That local hero is Kaleb, and is Grayson’s brother from book one in the series. The problem is he doesn’t want to give an interview. An incident from his past haunts him. But maybe this sassy and determined lady will be able to convince him otherwise.
It’s a fast, fun, sweet and steamy read. I did however feel that it ended too abruptly, But knowing how this author’s series go, I’m sure to bump into these characters again in the next book. I’m already looking forward to reading about Felicity and Owen’s adventures! I give this book four and a half blunt stars.

Kaleb is a single, hunky, hot EMS worker who has recently saved the mayor’s young daughter. He is being hounded by reporters for his story on what happened. Molly is a single, gorgeous, spunky, feisty, advice columnist “who tells it like it is” but she wants to be a reporter. Molly is persistent and hopes to get Kaleb’s story and get a promotion. When Kaleb meets Molly volunteering at a bingo night for seniors he is enthused by her persistence, her humor, her lightheartedness and her voice. She is the only reporter he has not blocked on his phone - he doesn’t understand why but he is willing to explore it. This story is a quick little read that is sweet, sexy, with a dash of crazy. I enjoyed reading it!

This was a great story. Loved the storyline and the connection and chemistry between Kaleb and Molly. Molly wants to be a reporter and her boss has promised a raise if she can get an interview with Kaleb the EMT that saved the Mayor's daughter. Molly is so persistent that Kaleb has named her Scrappy Doo. They first take care of their passion for each other and with the interview comes a revelation that Molly has promised not to write about. But her boss has turned out to be nothing but a blackmailing witch and when Kaleb reads the paper he is so unbelievably mad and hurt. I love what happens when Molly shows up to Kaleb's house to explain. The best part is, he actually lets her. (True Love) I totally enjoyed this story so much and can't wait to read about Felicity, Kaleb's sister. I received a free copy of this book via Booksprout and am voluntarily leaving a review.
First things first; I like the cover of this book! Kaleb is the second book in the ‘’Stryker county EMS’’ series. This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Molly is an article writer that thinks she wants to be a journalist. In order to do that, she needs to land an interview with a heroic ems man. The chemistry between Kaleb and Molly is clear to see and I liked them together. I liked that Molly took a stand when it came to her job and Kaleb’s past. I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story. The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read. I cannot wait for more books from this series.
Kaleb is a hero since he saved the mayors daughters life. Everybody wants an Interview, but only Molly gets it. This was a very funny story and I enjoyed it a lot. Molly is very ambitious in her job because she is afraid of being teased by her former classmates. Kaleb don't want to spread his heart on the line because in his job he cannot help all people and death is around the corner. He is Graysons Brother ( Stryker Country Book 1 ) and he loves his job. Chemistry is just an instant away and hits both hart. These two are so sweet and Molly learns that work is not the most fulfilling thing in life. The book is a quick , sweet , short read about insta love and two people that trust and love instantly.
Molly works for the local paper as advice columnist but wants to get into reporting. She’s offered a promotion if she can get an interview with the elusive local hero, Kaleb. Kaleb has no wish to be interviewed for saving the Mayor’s daughter. Molly calls Kaleb and shows up at the most interesting places just to get the interview. Once she has it though, will it be what she really wants or will everything turn against her.? A well written fast paced read with entertaining characters. The things Molly does to even have a conversation with Kaleb is genius. Great book #2 for this series. I received an arc copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
This instant attraction to love was OK It started off strong but fell kind of flat towards the end. I liked Molly. Her straight up, determined personality and sassiness was fun when she finally got a hold of the sexy EMT. Kaleb gave up after meeting Molly. They were both powerless against their instant attraction and eventually love. Even though this is a novella, I still felt like the story was a little bit rushed after Molly wrote her article. The conflict/issue the couple had was wrapped up VERY quickly. So we got the HEA but it felt forced in my opinion.

What do you do when you have rescued the mayors daughter in a car accident as part of your job and everyone now wants to call you a hero and write about you in the paper? That’s Kaleb’s story, and he is being called constantly by Molly, who needs the interview so she can have a promotion. Things don’t go as planned, when they both fall in love. But things don’t go so smoothly. There is a HEA and lots of hot chemistry between these two characters.

Scrappy Doo. Fantastic story. Kaleb refuses to do an interview about saving the mayor’s daughter. He has an issue in his past that he’d rather not come to forefront again. Molly is determine to get him to tell the story so she can get a promotion at work. While the two are at odds they begin falling in love. What happens though when the story comes out along with the past incident in it? Don’t call 911 this time. Just stop by the station.

I loved this short story. It was entertaining and enjoyable. The characters were interesting and likable. I do wish that Patricia had some kind of repercussions from her actions but I suppose I can be satisfied that she ended up with more work to do. Kaleb was amazing. He was strong, take-charge, and still sweet. Molly definitely lived up to the nickname that Kaleb gave her. There were plenty of feels in this story. I loved their happy ever after. I recommend reading this book.

Molly and Kaleb are the main characters in this insta love, short story. Kaleb is the EMT that Molly has an instant attraction to while he feels the same. He is a quiet one that keeps to himself. But after he saves the mayor's daughter, all eyes are on him and want the details, of course. When Molly comes for the interview, he finds out she is the one who writes the column that he loves to read. You will get the drama and the hot scenes here. This is not one that you want to miss out on reading.

Molly works for the paper and is trying to get a interview from Kaleb, but he wont answer his phone. She will do anything to get this interview for this will give her the chance to change possitions for the paper, being able to write articles instead of being an advice columnist. Kaleb has been avoiding Mollys calls cause he does not want to do this interview, but he never expected her to be so gorgeous and his attraction will not go down. Instead of giving into the interview he decided he will take her out on a date. Instant attraction, instant love... love this story.
Kaleb called Molly Scrappy Doo, its cute! And out of all the reporter who pestered him, he couldn't bring himself to block her number. Somewhere, sometime, he fell in love with the person behind the voice and when he finally met her. Wham!!! Cupid strikes. But her reporter job got in the way, he was her way to a promotion. What will Molly chose, love or promotion.... she chose happiness.

This is the second book in the "Stryker County EMS" series and revolves around Kaleb. Kaleb is a private person but he is also a hero after he saves the Mayor's daughter. Molly is determined to get an interview with Kaleb so that she can receive a promotion. It's very entertaining watching Molly chase the story. In the end she will have to choose between the story and true love.

This is one of those books that is truly break from the normal. Kaleb and Molly’s story maybe short, but it’s definitely read worthy.
Honesty, communication and passion are just a few things that works for these two. And I’m looking forward to seeing Felicity’s and Owen’s story.

Molly aka Scrappy Doo is in a bind. Being out for a story is now her dream to prove a point. To whom? Not really sure. Kaleb is the EMT who does not want to be interviewed. Being drawn to each other is so magnetic. When it comes to her job/career Molly must make the choice of exposure or exposure. No cliffhanger

A steamy instant attraction between Kaleb and Molly, when he hears her voice over his voicemail. The problem lies in is Molly just after the story, and can Kaleb really trust her to let her in. Molly is a go getter and willing to get her story, but will she push her own boundaries to get what she wants at all costs.

What happens when you mix a avid reporter want-to-be with a reluctant hero? You get a story that brings out the best in both - eventually. Mixed in you get family and coworkers interfering and a boss who wants a story no matter who gets hurt.

This was such a good story. Like how Kaleb and Molly came together. Understood his fear of an interview concerning saving the mayor's daughter. She worked as an advice columnist but wanted a promotion. You'll have to read the book to see what she ended up doing. Written by Cindy :)
An amazing, well written, well-developed, emotionally deep, steamy, and engaging book two in the Stryker County EMS series! The characters you will love and root for; the chemistry between them is instant and off the charts. Definitely recommended!

He's an EMT. She's a column writer trying to get promoted to reporter. She's been stalking him by phone for an interview. He's refused every request from every reporter and avoids her requests too. When they meet, their attraction was instant and intense. Their passion and chemistry was steamy. A good story.
Kaleb saved the mayors daughter and now everybody wants his side of the story..... Molly wants the story really bad😉 What she doesn't know she will get so much more in the end. 😍😍😍 Kaleb and Molly fell instantly in love with each other and nothing could stop them from being together. A safe, sweet, romantic and steamy story with a sweet HEA and without drama👍👍👍 Can't wait for the next story 😉
Kaleb and Molly are cute. I loved her confidence, even when faced with uncertainty. Even though they have a small disagreement, it’s handled maturely and they actually listen to each other. I loved them!
Molly is desperate to interview Kaleb who saved the Mayor's daughters life. If she gets the interview she will get a promotion. When they finally meet the sparks fly. Sweet steamy story.
