What happens when your casual sex buddy turns out to be your new boss?
Find out in this super-hot Age Gap office romance with light BDSM throughout.
Mollie O' Hare meets an enigmatic and dominant older woman on a dating app for some casual fun. She has no idea that this woman is soon to be her new boss, the CEO of Zelle.
Their kinky power play games move from the bedroom to the office and Mollie is entranced.
The CEO has made it quite clear that she doesn't do relationships.
It’s another invitation, and as she’s beginning to think she always will with Zoe, Mollie replies with a simple, “Yes, please.”
A pretty fun read, for what it was. I mean, if you've ever read an erotic rich/poor f/f romance, you can probably tell exactly what this novella is going to be like, but I can't say that I didn't enjoy my time with it! It's really... idk, moderate? Which is a compliment! It's BDSM, but pretty light, none of the over-the-top stuff that I hate. The rich girl/poor girl stuff isn't super exaggerated, and Zoe isn't obnoxious about her wealth. It's also taboo because of the boss/employee aspect, and there's probably some code of ethics violations in here, but again, nothing so egregious that I wasn't able to suspend my disbelief? The side characters were cute; not as flat as they often are in short books like this. The conflict was predictable as all get out, but that didn't stop me from overall enjoying this sexy (and really sweet) romance. I didn't love my first read from this author, so this was a pleasant surprise! I know she has a lot of books in this vein, so I'll try them out when I'm next in the mood.
A delightful romance with just the right amount of tension
I like the changes with this book. It’s much more believable how Zoe’s character is cold and hesitant for anything resembling something long lasting considering her life. I think we all need a roommate like Joy and I wish she lived here with me.
3.5 Stars - I thought the writing was really good. I enjoyed the banter and side character's a lot. I would highly recommend for folks that are into dom/sub scene. It's not really my fav, but I think if you like it you will really enjoy this story.
😊......😍...................😊..........................😍..........🔥 🔥 🔥..................😍...........💨 🔥....................what can i say. A 5🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 for Amazing Author, Emily Hayes......Entire series.. Waiting.
Those two words set the stage for this hot steamy lesfic romance with a slant towards light BDSM. Mollie and Zoe are a perfect match even though they are from different worlds. The age gap was a great component but not one really dwelled on so those who aren’t into that scene can easily move past it. Seriously hot from start to the last page! Emily Hayes is knocking them out of the park over and over again.
I’ve been pretty vocal at how often I found reading Emily’s other CEO series - sometimes it was errors in grammar or swapping character names, not giving proper nouns capitals, all trivial stuff that as an editor and writer myself, always catches my eye regardless of whose work I am enjoying, and I have been vocal about the stretch it can be to suspend my disbelief in terms of some of the whirlwind relationships Emily has created. I am surprised to see that the Forever series predates the CEO series as I was keenly aware of finding no errors in this story.
I also found that although I don’t generally go for this narrative, it was enjoyable.
I also want to give kudos to Emily for her inclusion of asexual, aromantic and non binary people in her work. Some writers focus too much on making a big deal out of the fluid nature of sex and sexuality, but not Emily.
I think there’s something to appreciate in Emily’s work and the more I read, the more I find to appreciate.
When Mollie interviews for an Executive Assistant position, the CEO of the company is Zoe, the woman with whom she recently had D/S hook-up sex. Despite their working relationship, the two continue to have sex, getting more and more into their BDSM play and growing closer. But Zoe has never wanted a relationship and things come to a head when Mollie says "I love you."
This short book is just okay. It was hard to get to know Zoe and what was behind her corporate rise. The author included a racially diverse group of characters but didn't really explore what that meant.

3 stars. Wasn’t awful and I liked both Mollie and Zoe as characters. Mollie was super sweet and Zoe was closed off emotionally which is always my favorite. The sex scenes were good but I didn’t feel an actual connection between them. No real or thoughtful dialogue and I feel like they didn’t really know each other. It was a romance solely based on sex and their D/s dynamics which is fine but I wanted more of an emotional connection outside of that.
Emily Hayes has brought a fiery ice queen to her knees and in do so has increased the temperature in my home by twenty degrees! What delightful writing, the characters are so alive! I love the supporting cast as much as the main characters! The storyline is believable yet really not realistic, but who cares when the writing is so powerful.
Good writing, good story, and I made it through the "light bdsm" even though I'm definitely not into that, so it must have been handled well. I like how someone not into Love can end up feeling it and dealing with it. And the drama wasn't drawn out, it was handled well.
I must say that, at first, I didn't know if I would keep on reading that book because I'm not into this type of relation. But I kept at it and the love story behind the "mistress/pet" bond finally did a good part of the job. That's why I gave it 4 stars.
Why, oh why, do authors STILL insist on having a mandatory third act breakup in their novels? Why would you follow the hottest sex scene I've ever read with such a massive angsty moment that undoes its emotional impact entirely? Why would you leave so few pages after the makeup that the sweet HEA is entirely unbelievable???
Emily Hayes once again writes a hot, sexy tale of attraction and lust. The problem is when lust turns into more....more than ever expected. This author does a great job of making you truly care about the women in the story. Can't wait to read the next story by her!
Very well done. I enjoyed it. I will say that the style was a very weird, almost hard to read, style because it was present tense but also at times reverted to 3rd past and that was a bit confusing. Otherwise a nice hot story.
Wow fantastic storyline I loved the main characters how they navigate through hard times and come out stronger this book is my top five must read congratulations
I can’t imagine saying yes mistress to anyone but it was fun to read. I loved both main characters, especially Molly. Zoe was great as well. Nice, hot love scenes with a great ending.
The style of writing, the essence of the truth of intimate relations exquisite. Thank you, I love your work! And, I look forward to catching up, reading the rest of them.:)
Meet Zoe the CEO and Molly the one night stand from a dating app, who becomes an employee and through thick and thin finally melts Zoe who thought she would never live or be in a relationship how wrong could she be!!🌹🌈
VERY hot office romance involving a CEO and her Personal Assistant. Plenty of erotic fun in this one. Emily Hayes continues to bring the heat in her books.
This was a good book. I enjoyed the references to bdsm and how they were written. Enjoyable and I will I am sure read more from this author in the future.
Really great read, well written with great characters, kept me entertained all the way throughout, contains bdsm that was pretty light, a story about the ice queen finally falling in love.
