Quick, fun read that will have you rooting for the protagonist, Claire. I like the creative way the author blended two love stories together from characters in different generations and in different countries. It is a good reminder that love is a universal aspiration. Also, it was nice to read a romance novel written by a man.
I was pleasantly surprised, a bit cheesy at the beginning but soon I could not put it down! Interesting characters, potent mix of past and present and I even shed a few tears. Can’t wait to read more by this author!
Awesome. Bloody brilliant. Characters well developed. Interesting themes flow through the novel. Loved the ending. Interesting POVs provided. Couldn’t put it down until I was done.
This is not the genre I usually go for, but I actually enjoyed this good a lot. Me and my friends were 100% entertained by Andy and his questionable choices, but overall It was really absorbing and definitely kept me at the edge of my seat during most of it, I’d say it resembles like a normal life of someone instead of those overreacting fake stories on the internet that you’d expect. The characters were all connected together one way or another, which helped a lot to remember everyone and how they are. David is a pretty good author and I’m excited to see what else he comes up with in the future.
I had such high hopes for this book. It started out good and smooth, but, quickly deteriorated. It was very predictable, the plot very jumpy and long drawn out. If the writer were to revamp and stay on course the book has promise. More on Mr. Johnson, and his story would be a big help.
