So you want to hear a story? A tale of lovely wenches and fearsome monsters? Of the unmatched depravity of lusty elves? Take a seat by the fire, grab a pint, and let me tell you the chronicle of Katyrynne De Nallare. Now, keep your hands to yourself while I recount the story... Ha! Just kidding, go right ahead. Hey, can someone help me out of these pants?
- Dumpling, goblin bard

Katy’s life as the village healer is just how she likes it; quiet and predictable. Sure it gets lonely sometimes, but who would want to be with a girl with a missing hand, anyway? All that changes, however, when a strange, lovely woman with pointed ears and battle armor named Hannaeh washes up half-dead in the bay.

Hannaeh is confident, seductive, and gods above, as horny as a cat in heat. There’s something about her that makes Katy want to drop to her knees and obey, whether that means crawling between Hannaeh’s legs, or pleasuring any of the men the elf ensnares with her charms. Being with Hannaeh makes Katy feel wanton, desired, and powerful.

But even as Katy explores the newfound spark of her sensual awakening, dark forces begin to stir. When a friend goes missing, the two women must take matters into their own hands to save her.

Provided they don’t get too distracted along the way.

Serena has been a fan of fantasy and science fiction her whole life, cutting her teeth on tales of fearsome monsters, beautiful heroines, and brave heroes. She's also always had a pretty vivid (and filthy!) imagination, usually wanting those monsters, heroes, and heroines to engage in some juicy horizontal activity once in a while.

When she isn't playing D&D or putting the steamy fantasies churned out by her brain down onto paper, Serena works in tech. It's a handy profession; the server room is quite private, and only a few people have the combination to the door...

an initially fun diversion marred by two major issues -
1. you've heard of plot driven smut? This is smut driven plot. Please don't resolve every single potential narrative development with fucking.
2. Handles its disabled main character horribly. You can't just solve a disability with magic, that just kills relatability

So it's entirely porn, not necessarily good porn, and like, there's some plot that tries to happen but there's just too many flower euphemisms and "meat straws" and yeah.
Also, if one of the main character defining points is that the main character is missing her hand, it might help if the author remembered that throughout the text? There are a couple of moments early on where she reaches out with both hands and *doesn't* have a moment of angst about it.

A mixed bag but just bursting with potential and promise for Serena Silverlake's writing chops. Silverlake does a great job with characters and intrigue and fun personalities to bounce against -- I am a big, big sucker for the Unstoppable Slut vs the Immovable Virgin -- but often times the book stumbles across its ambitions of delivering sexy hijinks and wild fornication and ends up doing damage to its structure and plot.

Above all else I have to say that this book could have used an editor -- not for grammar or typos, but because I can see just so much potential in the characters and plot and I wished the dissonant tone and dialogue would pick a direction, either domestic living with a horny roommate who doesn't understand boundaries, or a silly campy sex comedy where everything results in blowjobs.

An example of what I mean -- Katy and Hanneah are amazing characters. Katy is interesting and complicated and wounded, both physically and mentally, by tragedy in her life and it makes her a recluse and a bit of a shut in. Hanneah is a perfect counter to that, forcing her to loosen up and live a little, but she's also hiding some complexity herself. These are great foils for one another in a story with sex in it -- Hanneah fucks someone in public, Katy flushes and demands to know what she's thinking, while quietly repressing her fascinated and aroused feelings. And through their mutual connection, they start to trust and bond and connect.

And those things happen, and it's great! However, all of those moments are sandwiched next to *constant* sexual escapades, which Katy seems like she'd be against. Katy is strongest as a character when she's at war with her desires vs what is Proper, because it helps hide her insecurities. But then when Hanneah says Katy gives only mild resistance before agreeing.

The story and the characters, I feel, would be *much* stronger if the writer let the story fall into a slow boil, letting the girls circle each other for a bit, feeling one another out, slowly developing together. Or maybe the times when Katy allows herself to get horny are shoved back into the repression box once they're done. You could even have Katy and Hanneah have sex, then have Katy feel true shame and embarrassment and refuse to talk about it. This is all good stuff for drama! But the book is frustratingly lacking in drama, which is disappointing.

Maybe the writer was going for something goofier and sillier, like a cheesy porno, where all problems must be solved with blowjobs. And when you have an elf priestess who's holy symbol is her pierced nipple rings, that suggests something a little more absurd. However I think the characters and world and meta-narrative of the story being a tale told by a goblin bard are strong enough that I'd love to see it take shape as a Novel, instead of just an ebook. There's sex scenes all over this book, to the point that it gets in the way of the development of the girls I truly like a lot.

There's also just other editing quibbles I could make -- little stuff like the needless backstories when "she's a big tiddy goblin bard" would do, or the inconsistent dialogue swapping between Game of Thrones and incredibly modern porno dirty talk -- but this book is a good showing by Silverlake, and I hope she keeps at it because her grasp of character and pace are terrific and I look forward to reading about her future sexy hijinks.

J.R.R. Tolkien’s Middle-Earth was never like this, but it should have been. Katy, a beautiful young healer, has been living alone since she lost her mother and one of her hands to a marauding monster. She thinks no man will ever want a cripple as wife or lover. But when she saves the elf maiden Hannaeh, her life changes. These elves are not so much like “Lord of the Rings” elves. They are beautiful and magical, sure enough, but they are also sexually free in ways Tolkien probably could never have imagined, let alone written about. Hannaeh is as uninhibited as Katy is inhibited. Hannaeh will have anyone she likes - both genders, all races. She takes the village by storm and gradually coaxes Katy out of her self-imposed isolation (and her clothes). There is a lot of sex in this book but there is also a decent plot, some good character development, and some old-fashioned Dungeons and Dragons-style questing. This is a complete story, but it is also the first part of a longer saga. I will wait patiently (okay, not too patiently) for Serena Silverlake to give us the next part.

Uninhibited starts with town healer Katy being called to help a elf woman that has been gravely injured. After healing the elf woman Hannaeh she is shocked to learn just how promiscuous the elf woman is. The cultural differences are a lot for her to handle at the start but as the two women get to know each other Katy starts to come out of her shell. The book has a lot of explicit sexual content that is written in very graphic detail which makes it fun to read (with the exception of the last scene) but maybe you’ll be I to that. It’s quite an easy read and once it gets going it’s a lot of fun and I found myself not putting it down until I hit the last page. If you’re okay with graphic sexual act and like a decent fantasy story then give it a read. I can’t wait to read the rest of the series.

This book feels like it's a bit on the cheesier side of camp as far as the story dialogue goes. I can't tell if it's more camp than not. There were a few truly cringe-inducing moments like the infamous meat straw comment and Katy's weird tendency to talk to herself out loud like a Disney channel sitcom. It definitely has that self-awareness throughout the book that is pretty campy but either way for me it was enjoyable to read. I liked the story within a story aspect of it and I was a fan of dumpling. But let's be real we're not reading this kind of book for the plot are we? And boy was the spicy. It has M/F, F/F, MFM, FFM, scenes with a variety of different species and acts. So if you're reading it for the spice this definitely has it but the story is interesting enough to continue reading it

Don’t judge me yet just let me explain!!!!

I was kinda harsh on my last review so I feel like it’s only fair I explain how I usually do this. I don’t have a point system. I honestly rate based on whether or not what was promised was delivered, and how “well” I think it was written. But sometimes how well it’s written doesn’t matter much because some books just aren’t meant to be taken that seriously. And this is one of them.

The sheer level of ridiculousness is like a cushion for the raunchy shit these people got up to😭. Saw a review say this was smut driven and exactly!!! That’s what it promised and that’s what it provided😭.

Point is I don’t feel like this is that serious so yes I gave it 5 stars with my whole chest!!! And yes I’m gonna read the rest of the series because I kind of want to know what’s happening with the minuscule plot!!!

I kinda hate the cover tho…oopsie

Our heroine is a bit of a recluse, but that all changes when she heals our second heroine. Things get very interesting after that.

This is billed as book one of a new series.

This is an erotic fantasy story and it has all the trope of both genres. That means we get a diverse host of fantasy creatures and characters, a quest to complete and lots of steamy scenes. That all works for me! The story was well written and easy to read, if perhaps a bit predictable at times. I did really like our two main characters and hope to see more of them in future books. In the meantime, this one was highly enjoyable and I will be looking out for the next one.

Highly recommended.

I was enjoying it so so much, but the last couple chapters really brought down the rating for me. I'll still read the next book(s?) because I really love the main characters!

⭐1.5 (rounded down) - heavily disliked it

I need to type this out on a computer but some notes for now:
- did not hsve a good time
- too much unexpected crassness which sounds weird for an erotica but i think consent is sexy
- wouldn't surprise me if ghis was written by a man
- very male gazey
- not enough focus on two women having sex en enjoying each other. No men allowed.
- vaguely offended by the characters who was having sex without paying while travelling with whores undercover?
- all the different names for vulva/vagina were utterly ridiculous. It wasn't funny, felt really dumb at the end.
- not enough old-skool words for what we now call sluts. Seriously bitch, whore and slut sound way too harsh for a fantasy erotica which suggested a cheek-in-tongue story.

***...Why?***
Look. I love the word 'harlot'. Just like the word 'tramp'. They are old, used by people who tried to shame others, a literal translation from a saying in my country is that it lies well on the tongue (there has to be an English equivalent) but it still remains somewhat sexy-sounding.

I like that. Also it's written by a woman about women and it's about elves. What more can I want? Oh the cover art is also gorgeous.

I'm expecting a good time. Not something groundbreaking.

P.s. I saw a ⭐1 review with just the words: "meat straw" and that made me laugh out loud. It even makes me want to read this even more!

The green-skinned man’s eyebrows knitted together. “You’re proposing a deal, elf?”

Hannaeh nodded. “Just so. In return for the whereabouts of the missing girl, I’m willing to give you an experience you won’t soon forget.”

"What does that mean, exactly?” the orc said, skepticism writ in every line of his craggy face. “Are you planning on stabbing me with that sword of yours in a new and exciting way?”

The lovely elf bit her lower lip and then actually batted her eyelashes at the orc.

“Hardly. What I mean, is that Katy and I here will give you the sloppiest, nastiest double-blowjob you’ve ever had in your life.”

There was a long beat of silence, interrupted only by the song of a skylark and the sighing of the wind through the branches of the trees.

“You can’t be serious,” Katy said, eyes going wide as saucers. The orcish man seemed to share her disbelief. He huffed, his expression somewhere between shock and amusement.
