What is the plot here? I can't even tell if there is one. The gothic setting? Adore it. Everything else? Not so much.

It's still super hot, damn. But this was a bit buildup volume and jumped a bit around, so I rank it below vols 1 and 2.
What I did like is that we got explanations on Gilbert and suddenly I'm cheering him the most (don't hurt him more please).
What I didn't like so much was the lust vs. love/Friedrich vs. Levi thing. Not that I would want Stella to pick up anybody else than Levi but the whole "he let's me remain pure" nonsense. Because c'mon, Levi and Stella clearly want each other in all the ways.
Art is so so gorgeous. Lines on paper shouldn't be this hot...

Questo volume è il tipico capitolo di mezzo. La storia tra i personaggi non è evoluta più di tanto ma si scoprono nuovi aspetti del personaggio di Yoel.
E' evidente che ogni volume sia concentrato sul personaggio che viene riportato in copertina, e questo è il suo turno. Devo dire che è in generale è il personaggio che mi piace di meno, ovviamente dopo Stella che non si riprende mai dal suo stato di donzelletta in difficoltà.
In generale non sto ben capendo il senso di tutta la vicenda. Sebbene sia improntato sulla gara a chi riuscirà a conquistare il suo cuore, non si capisce bene se il vero premio sia lei o la rivalsa sugli altri concorrenti.
In ogni caso si spera in tempi e volumi migliori.

Cette série, c’est un peu le mélange entre plusieurs univers du même genre et là je pense à trois mangakas en particulier : Kaori Yûki, Setona Mizushiro et Matsuri Hino. Toutefois, Rosen Blood essaie de se démarquer et de trouver sa propre voie, bien que ce soit loin d’être évident.
Stella est une héroïne qui sous des dehors très naïf et fragile essaie de se faire une place dans un environnement empli de danger, à commencer par les résidents du manoir. Elle sait sa vie entre leur main, mais ne fait pas grand-chose pour trouver des solutions à ses déboires.
Quant aux vampires, à commencer par Levi, chacun protège ses secrets et semblent dépendants des uns des autres. Si Levi essaie de comprendre les sentiments qu’il éprouve envers Stella, cette dernière va se rapprocher de Yoel qui ne semble pas très net non plus (en vrai ils ont tous un grain, mais chut). D’ailleurs, Guilbert, qui nous est déjà apparu comme le plus cinglé de tous et instable, la met vite en garde contre le garçon.
Malgré son côté déjà vu, déjà fait, j’ai été happée et intriguée par le mystère qui entoure nos si charmants et énigmatiques vampires. Plus on avance et plus leurs secrets s’épaississent. Stella qui a l’air d’être un élément important pour eux se laisse toujours trop aller à mon goût. On en apprend un peu plus sur son passé, histoire de nous titiller un peu. Pour l’instant tout reste obscur.
Bon, je ne vous le cache pas, j’aime beaucoup les dessins et ça joue beaucoup dans mon intérêt pour ce manga. J’admets que c’est un style qui me plait et avec lequel j’ai toujours accroché. J’espère vraiment que la suite de l’histoire ne me décevra pas. Pour le moment, ça reste assez bateau même si c’est quand même plaisant à lire.

COMMENTO PERSONALE: più vado avanti nella lettura di questa saga più ne rimango stupita a tutti gli effetti. Solo ora ho compreso la potenzialità delle immagini nelle copertine poiché il focus di ogni volume diviene proprio il personaggio ritratto lì sopra. Continuo a pensare che questa serie sia abbastanza dark ma comunque affascinante, conturbante e penetrante come i suoi protagonisti. Stella in questo volume mi è sembrata come una bambola di pezza, talvolta priva di autodeterminazione e forza di volontà e quindi in balia degli eventi. Ma ogni tanto va a fare la ficcanaso grazie a delle voci di corridoio messe a giro da altri abitanti della casa stessa.
Ma quello che mi ha colpito è proprio il protagonista ritratto dalla copertina ovvero Yoel. È stato in disparte sino a questo momento presentandosi a tutti gli effetti come perfetto demerino, molto gentile ed educato che va a svelare il proprio passato e il proprio intento: infatti divorato dalla solitudine...
Poi per mettere i bastoni tra le ruote alla felice unione tra Levi e Stella ci si mette Fiedrich che con le sue macchinazioni fa di tutto per far allontanare i beniamini.
Detto questo io rimango sempre più affascinata dalla forza della psiche e dalle oscurità.
Quanto ci si può spingere in là per amore?
Quanto si può essere o diventare psicopatici e ossessionati?
Odio diversi componenti della famiglia ma quello che emerge è che ognuno di loro ha un passato talmente tormentato, talmente oscuro che sono quelli che sono.
Mi spiace di essere in dirittura di arrivo e concludere questa serie ma sono curiosa di vedere se ci sia o meno il mio sperato lieto fine.
Ve la consiglio perché si tratta di una serie composta solamente da 5 volumi.

In Band 3 kommt Yoel und seine Wünsche mehr zu Geltung.
Man erfährt was wirklich in dem lieben Jungen schlummert.
Gilbert hat mich absolut überrascht und er hat mir richtig leid getan.
Die Entwicklung fand ich super cool - Von Band 1 bis jetzt.
Man lernt ihn näher kennen und kommt hinter Geheimnisse.
Der Zeichenstil ist immer noch absolute LIEBE.
Levi und Stella kommen immer näher zusammen und ich find die beiden einfach so zuckersüß.
Ihre Lovestory gefällt mir richtig gut.
Mir geht Friedrich noch immer auf die Nerven. - Seine Screentime ist auch immer die lästigsten.
Es gibt wieder viele Wirrungen und Erlebnisse in dem Band.
Ich bin aber so unglaublich verliebt in den Zeichenstil.

I really loved the first two volumes, but this third one got a bit confusing. The characters suddenly started acting very differently to how we knew them previously, almost without any real growth/reason to cause this. It might also have to do with translation issues, but certain parts didn’t quite make sense. The artwork was breathtaking as usual however, and I enjoyed getting to see more of Levi!

Gilbert is tragic. Yoel is mad. The whole thing is nuts, but gorgeous. I don't understand why they've all suddenly fallen in love with Stella after years upon years of cruelty, but I do get the mind games at play and the guys using each other (and Stella) as set pieces. It's dark, but the plot seems to stay at the surface without letting the reader see what lurks beneath for a more complete picture.

Mi piace che dal volume due in poi all’inizio ci sia una breve descrizione dei personaggi. Trovo il rapporto tra Stella e Yoel molto materna. Gilbert forse non è così cattivo come pensavo ma nasconde sicuramente qualcosa. Il bacio tra Levi e Stella è stato molto dolce, molto bella la tavola l’inizio del capitolo 15. Yoel risulta un tantino fuori di testa e feroce, mentre Gilbert è spaventato a morte.

I kept reading for a reason, and I would argue that the art and general vampire and romance vibes were the reason. If you've made it this far, you realize each book focuses on a specific character slightly more. I will say the character that was focused on is interesting and a bit crazy. Which makes more sense than a house full of well-behaved vampires that are, for the most part, respectful.

🤔 it’s a little fast paced with the story line. We find out Gilbert’s not crazy and Yoel is. Levi is as tormented and brooding as usual and Friedrich continues to be a d***. Stella has no clue as to who or what to believe other than the fact that she loves Levi, that is until she begins talking to our crazy not crazy Gilbert. We learn Yoel’s plans and poor Levi is the intended victim to get everything started.

Al momento questo è il volume che ho apprezzato di più. Vengono approfonditi i due vampiri secondari, Gilbert e Yoel, e proprio grazie a loro la storia respira un po'. Comunque, l'opera continua a risultare molto superficiale. Tante informazioni inserite male finiscono per non suscitare alcuna reazione e non ci si sente mai coinvolti. Insomma, tutto scorre e nulla rimane. Unica eccezione: i disegni; sono certa che saranno l'unica cosa che ricorderò di quest'opera.

The twists and turns!!! I’m eagerly anticipating volume 4 cause this ended with the plot precariously perched on a cliff hanger! Hopefully Stella can guide Yoel and Friedrich to some kind of redemption.
There’s something shallow about Stella and Levi’s relationship that doesn’t sit right with me, but he’s her best match out of the bunch so I’ll root for them.

oh wow I actually genuinely enjoyed this tome. characters went exactly the way I didn’t expect, Yoel and Gilbert are so much deeper and more interesting now.
I can’t lie, I still feel the characters per sé are a tad shallow and could be expanded further but that’s probably just my personal preference cause, once again, I’m not in the author’s target.

The relationship between Stella and Levi is getting more complicated. The relationships between the other three and Stella is crazy. They all want her in a different way. Can't wait to see what's next!

And now I have to wait till the next book comes out. The cliffhangers! Ugh! I love this series so much and all the vampires are just top tier. I love that all of their personalities are so unique. I hope this gets made into an anime.

Mysterious and alluring. Along with horror elements and insanity. Everything seems okay, but honestly nothing is right. The more I read this series, the darker and more wrong everything is. I highly suggest.

This series has fallen off for me. It started off so strong and the second volume was not a winner for me, but this just went kind of off the rails for me. I didn't care for the plot or the pacing or the character direction. Just a whole lot of misses for me.
