The Undulating Line is an engaging blend of poetry, prose, and life, that will put a match to any clichés you might entertain about belly dancing. A brilliant exploration of and tribute to the art and act of the belly dance, The Undulating Line layers the lyrical with intelligent discussions of form, history, culture and living. This thought-provoking, beautifully constructed book will both ground you and give you lightness. Just as dance is more than simply movement, this collection is a compassionate, liberating reminder of the important ways we become connected when we turn to art – in all its wondrous, fluid forms. ~ Alexandra Umlas, author of At the Table of the Unknown, Moon Tide Press
