Good book lot of action like all of Mike's books

It's a pity I can't give negative stars/
This is the WORST book I have read in over a decade.
Please stop writing.
It really is that bad.
The 2nd book spiralled down from an OK start to an abysmal end.
The book starts out poorly and stays there.
No consistency anywhere, - plot, characters, etc, etc
A shambling mess of lazy writing, terrible inconsistencies and flagrant outlandish contradictions.
A lead character who alternates between dying and Lazarus like recoveries only to fall again, collapsing into unconsciousness, then rising again to rinse and repeat it feels like endlessly.
Main protagonists that are just laugh out loud ridiculous. Seriously a talented 10 year old girl could script better prose.
Absolute rubbish, and pop psychology passed of as science, this is a terrible read.
For only the 2nd time, not only do I wish I had my $4 back, but the hours wasted reading this.
Read only if you are a masochist.

Such A Dark Series!
While there is entertainment value in this book there is also a very dark side in it. Christopher Wren is a one man wrecking crew! That isn't to say that this book is a bad book but that there are some very bad people in our world who would do some very bad things to others to hide their own sins. For those who think slavery, sexual crimes against others, manipulation of others and worse is acceptable then you need to know that someone WILL be there to stop you and bring you down. This book and series is about those who would willingly stop you. The writing is top notch, the stories are compelling and the details are sometimes nauseating but they are nonetheless thrilling.

Scary premise a little to close to our current temperature
While certainly exaggerated the bones of the story are scarily plausible. So much of what happens in the book seems eerily close to what has been happening in the country in last few years. And my timing for reading it couldn’t be worse than this last week of June with the decisions by the Supreme Court and the Jan. 6 hearings bombshells.
While the way things play out here is clearly beyond the realm of reality it does make the book all that scarier that any reader could see the potential for something similar to play out.
The ending is chilling and certainly urges the reader on to the next book.

Christoper Wren spins at an insanely twisted pace in this novel by Mike Grist. As with the others in the series once I started it I was obsessed. Nick Cracknell has the ability to bring Wren and the other characters to life and infuse them with the adrenaline rush that the twists and unpredictable actions and events warrant. This was one of the few edge of my seat books have read recently that was as exciting as it was scary.

What a story
I loved the beginning of this book and the last 3 chapters were ace . However I did get a bit blind sided half way through as I thought it got a bit far fetched . Especially when teddy showed back up and took control of the foundation .that said I don't think you'd understand the last a chpt without knowing that information . part 4 is on my download list and I cannot wait to read it .

Fast. Enjoyable. Well written.
Can you believe this guy actually thought all this stuff up to make it a story? And there are six volumes of this but it's hard to put down, you just can't wait to see what is going to happen next. I ordered all the books and I'll wonder every time I see our leaders if this could actually happen. Good job Mike Trust.

Characters and Action Are Great
Although Wren is a super hero, as any real world person would be dead a thousand times over, he is also a fully drawn person. This, and the other realistically-behaving characters is what makes this head and shoulders above others in the same genre.

Snuff videos go viral as a billionaire is tortured and murdered live in front of millions. People even got to vote on it. An app that cannot be hacked. This brings out the copy cats and a devastating new cult. Is Apex behind it? Regardless, Wren has to stop it. Miner problem, there is a catch/kill order out on him.

Blood and guts
I couldn't wait to get through this book. I won't read any others. Plot jumps from one chapter to the next, sometimes even within same paragraph. This is just mentally exhausting. This is more like reading through some action taken from a video game.

Sunrise in Dead Horse Alaska.
There is NO Sunrise or sunset in Dead Horse in January. 24 four hours of darkness. June there is no sunset. Have seen as cold as -80 in Jan as hot as +100 June. Loved it there.

Another great book in the series
I am enjoying the Christopher Wren series books. Fast paced stories with great characters and storyline. I look forward to the next book in the series along with more books by Mike Grist.

Very interesting story
I'm amazed that this author can write so many fantastic novels, I hope that he never stops writing. His books are some of the best Entertainment I have read and worth the time to read them. Thank you for a very fun entertaining read.

While the plot remains essentially the same the second half has been thoroughly rewritten resuLting in an even more fast-paced book. There are a few hints scattered throughout of Bigger Things to come.

In this volume the violence and mayhem steps up yet another notch. Weary from his continuing mopping-up from the Blue Fairy Wren is thrown into another cult plot - this time aimed at the fat cats, the 1% so envied by the less successful.
While tracking the scheme Wren has to use all his skills as a lone investigator as well as the resources of his Foundation. That is taking on a life of its own and can no longer be said to respond completely to its leader, Wren. In addition, disturbing hints emerge as to who has been behind the plots to date - and it's more personal than Wren would desire.
All the previous traits are present - Wren, the charismatic loner, his Foundation - and his propensity for using vehicles in creative and interestingly destructive ways. Established readers are not likely need encouragement - new ones should probably go back to Book One. But be warned - not for the squeamish.
I read this before publication as an ARC but have bought the ebook.

Christopher is back, maybe this time he can beat the evil out there, and his own demons, for good.
It's a heart-wrenching, horrifying, brutal story, all the more so because people like these are really out there.

Grist really knows how to write characters that grow and change with events they go through. This book is no exception. It was a wild ride and I loved how Wren and the foundation changed through the book.

Exciting and full of high octane energy
Well written with great characters. The hero is so flawed that it makes him perfect for the job. Christopher Wren is an awesome character. I can't wait to see what happens next.
