Finality: A Metaphysical Sci-Fi Novel

Rate this book
From international bestselling author Marcus Martin comes Finality: a heartbreaking and poignant sci-fi novel for the ages. Two lovers must enter adulthood by selecting their death letters. Some day those letters will be mailed back to them by the Ministry, terminating their lives. No one has dared defy the Ministry in generations. Until now.

This is a metaphysical tale of love, grief, and social reflection. Author Marcus Martin takes you on an eerie and poignant journey through a world that is radically different to ours, and yet eerily familiar. Thought-provoking, gripping, and heart-wrenching, this book may change your life.

I was give an advanced reading copy of this book and to say I liked it is a complete understatement.

When I got the book I was going through a rough time, as I'd just lost my wife and this story really hit home to me. I cried as I read it. To me it was a very emotional read and perhaps the best story I'd read in quite a long time. I'm not going to go through it and relate how each chapter affected me, but I will say that I think people are giving it so/so reviews because they don't truly understand what the whole thing is truly about.

Read it. Devour it, because that's what I did. Think long and hard as you read and if you're not affected by what you read...

Thank you Marcus. This book will stay with me forever.

Stopped on 44%. Very poor world building, too many illogical pieces, unanswered questions. Narrative jumps forward too quickly and focuses on wrong things.
