This is one of the best business books I've read. It totally changed the way I perceive running a business and opened my eyes to the way my supervisors think.

I have spent more of my working life as a boss than as an individual contributor. This author could have been reading my mind - at last someone who thinks like me!
This should be required reading for all people entering the workforce.
One of the truths shared here - not everyone arrives at work ready to work. Many take a half hour or more to get started, they get their coffee, stop to chat with their co-workers, check the newspaper, etc. Meanwhile, the most effective people have arrived with a clear purpose and list of priorities, and have already knocked the top one or two off before the less effective people even consider starting their day.
I love initiative- you can't afford to sit around and wait for someone to come along and grant your wishes and make your life better.

Could have been reduced to a 3X5 notecard of bullet-points. Basic ideas.
