Meet the Days, Howards, Madisons, and Lees. Four wealthy couples obsessed with keeping up appearances. Pearson, Vonita, Nadalia, and Ryan want the world to believe that they live flawlessly prosperous lives, but behind the custom-made doors of their elaborate mansions lie salacious secrets that are becoming harder to hide.
Pearson may be forced to choose between her husband and vodka. Vonita could be at risk of losing her lavish fairy tale lifestyle but only finds out when it's too late to do anything about it. Nadalia's picture-perfect life seems to be slowly falling apart at the seams until an ugly truth finally shatters her world. And for Ryan, living under the thumb of an A-list husband isn't all that it is cracked up to be—especially since she doesn't seem to know where he is half the time.
Saving face may be a priority for these wives, but scandal, addiction, financial ruin, and infidelity threaten to reveal their truths to the world—and worst of all, each other.

This was a really good read. I would definitely recommend this book to other people. It was full of drama and it kept me interested. I will be looking for more books from this author
This book just goes to show you that everything that shines, isn't gold. Vonita, Pearson, Ryan, and Nadalia all lived a very wealthy life of luxury but even that couldn't save them from the troubles in the world. Because each of them suffered differently, I believe that women will be able to relate to at least one of them directly. I couldn't wait to find out what happened when the drama kept building and I'm glad that everything worked out in the end. Good read!
Enter the world of four well-to-do married couples who are struggling with deep dark secrets while trying to keep up appearances. Some of their issues include infidelity, abuse, addiction and finances. Some relationships grow stronger while others fail to grow.
This is my first book by @reneedanielflagler, but I'm definitely on the lookout for more. I highly recommend this 💎💎💎💎💎 page turner, that reads like a 🔥soap opera or reality show.
What you see isn't what you'll get. This story is about four couples who seemingly live enviable lives. Then the cracks are exposed........
The writer was able to build suspense from the very beginning while storytelling. When a chapter ended she started the next one with the right touch of intrigue to prevent the reader from rushing through. The issues although unpredictable were realistic. I also enjoyed the lack of dead space and unnecessary fillers.
I enjoyed reading about these 4 crazy couples. A few typing & grammatical errors but nothing that took away from the story. I loved the growth of the women (especially Pearson). Renee touched on a little of everything. Definitely will be reading more by this author.
This was a page turner. I stayed up all night just to finish this.book. The grass is not.alwaya greener in someone elses garden. A lot of putting up apperances and mystery. Very good book.
This book was really well written i wish i could give this book 10 stars with the way this book was written it feels like it could be a movie. i just love that all of the characters have different layers to them the more you read about these characters you will understand them a lot more better especially with pearson she may seems like she is a tuff person with no personality but the more you get to know her you will see why she is the way she is. And as for ryan i am so glad that she has finally stood up for her self because with her husband all he was doing to me was walking all over her in the end ryan found her voice an her strength. And as for natalia she needed to get knocked down off of her high horse because nothing in life is perfect she just needed some reality and sadly she it the unexpected way. And as for vonnie and mike sometimes people have to watch who they look up to because sometimes your favorite couple can be going threw worst problems that other people may not know.
The story of 4 upper crust, African American and multiracial couples on Long Island. Vonnie, Pearson, Ryan, and Nadalia each have a distinct character and story line.
There were few typos and grammatical errors that were distracting, but not so much to downgrade the overall quality of this fun read.
In my opinion, Society Wives takes a literary spin on the ridiculously popular "Real Housewives" franchise. There is a cast of colorful characters who seem to have drama wherever they go and in every single situation. These women seem to have everything: big homes, unlimited access to money, husbands, glitz, and glamour until we really get to know them and see that all isn't merry behind gated communities.
"It's too late. I tried everything I could to keep this marriage together and took everything you threw at me. For so long I was afraid of what life would be like without you, without the lifestyle you provided for me, but for the first time ever, I realize that my own peace, sanity, and dignity are so much more important. I can't stay with you, Andy."
I particularly did not care for many of the characters, but I was especially proud when Ryan finally stood up for herself. Ryan's character symbolized to me the many women that know they are in a loveless marriage that has no future and she finally decides to stand up for herself and risk having not material issues in hopes of finding herself. Overall, Society Wives was very fast paced and if you love a book that brings the drama then this would be a fun book for you!
I listened to this book on audio. It was a good story with an entertaining cast of characters. It read like a soap opera...rich people and their problems. I liked the narrator and felt like she did a great job of bringing the characters to life, especially one of the mothers, Frannie. I loved her accent! Even though I figured out one of the plot twists early on, it didn’t take away from the storyline. I still wanted to know if I was correct about my assumptions. The only thing I kept wondering about and not that it’s that important to me, but some of the characters’ races were ambiguous and maybe the author meant for them to be. I think she mentioned Ryan and Nadalia’s but the others, I had no idea but could only assume. For me, it makes the characters more relatable when I have a general idea what they look like. Overall, good story with a few plot twists. I’d love a sequel to see what these characters are doing now.
This was a fantastic book. This story about four rich wives and their husband was wonderfully written by the author. At first glance I didn't think the book was my cup of tea. So after buying it at the RT convention, it set in my TBR pile for a while. I picked this book up to read and by the end of the day I didn't want too put it down. I HIGHLY recommend this book to any avid readers out there.....you will NOT be disappointed.
Pearson, Nadalia, Ryan & Vonnie was a group of women who came together only because their husbands were good friends. Each woman had issues but because of their "status" in society, they attempted to hide this from others. Through each other's experience, they were able to develop a bond that almost makes them sisters. This book was poetic, funny and exposed the lengths people will go to keep skeletons hidden.
This is my First novel by Renee Flagler and I so enjoyed it. Looking at the lives of 4 woman who are connected through their husbands. In reading this novel you can clearly see that the saying what goes on behind closed doors is so true. Each woman on the outside appear to be happy and enjoying life, but when the get home its a different story. I loved this novel and could not put it down!
Society Wives was a page turner. It had a bit of drama, suspense and some jaw dropping moments. The characters and issues touched on were realistic. There was NEVER a dull moment in this story. 5 STARS!!
This book was about four rich couples who all had secrets. You never know what goes on behind closed doors. In this book you have cheating, alcoholism, down low, and real money problems. This was my first book by this author but not my last!!
