Burgers & Brew Crüe #3

Same Ol' Situation

Rate this book
Isaac

I’m about as straight-laced and by the book as they come. They call me Numbers, the man in the office of Burgers and Brew, the restaurant and bar I co-own with my friends. Routine and spreadsheets, that’s how I spend my day. I’m a creature of habit, from the designer clothes to the same girlfriend, I crave the pattern I’ve become dependent on.

Until said girlfriend breaks up with me for the umpteenth time, and I find refuge in a woman who is my exact opposite.

I’m intrigued and completely out of my element, yet that doesn’t stop me from spending time with her. Even if I consider her off-limits, something about her calls to me.

The problem is I just might lose a friend because of it.

BJ

Most of the time, I would never look twice at Isaac Thompson. He’s all suits, ties, and expensive dress shoes, and I’m…well, not. My time is spent at the tattoo studio I work at, day and night, designing badass ink for clients who want the best. I have no room in my life for a relationship, nor do I care for the messes they always create.

Until Isaac finds me stranded on the road, and I end up inviting him inside.

Now, I can’t stop thinking about him. He’s so different from any man I’ve ever known, which is why we decide to keep it casual and fun.

Let’s just hope I can keep feelings out of the arrangement, so I don’t get burned.

Avid reader, writer, mother, and wife! I love to read contemporary romance. Add in a little "spice" or hot guys in uniform pants, and I'm a happy woman. There's just something about diving into a book and engrossing in the magic of your hero and heroine getting their happily ever after.

Really good! Really enjoyed this one! Love the brothers best friend, gotta sneak around behind the brothers back thing.
I just feel like having a Jasper, Jameson, Jeb, and Jax all in the same book should be against the author code of conduct. I got mixed up on the names quite a bit.

5 SMOOCHES!

The Burgers and Brew Crüe series is about four college buddies who own the hot and happening gourmet burger and brew pub slash busy bar in Stewart Grove, Ohio. Same Ol’ Situation is book three in the series, and it’s an opposites-attract, best-friend’s sister, small town romance.

I’m a long time Lacey Black reader, and her small town romances are amongst my most favorite things to read. I really love this series, and it’s because of this group of guy friends. Same Ol’ Situation focuses on Isaac, the back office, finance guy of the group who the other guys have nicknamed Numbers. He’s a by-the-book, suit-and-tie guy who’s loyal and very hardworking. He’s just ended a long-term, on-again-off-again relationship that he now realizes was all wrong for him. After his breakup, he finds himself drawn to his best friend and business partner’s sister, BJ. A tattoo artist and piercer, she’s his total opposite in every conceivable way. She’s free-spirited, confident, inked and pierced. She’s unlike any woman he’s ever known, and he cannot get enough of her.

The chemistry between Isaac and BJ was so explosive, and what I loved was how much that took them by surprise. They were so very different, but yet they were also so well matched. This couple made my heart soar, and I was rooting for them from the start. Full of heart, heat and humor, I loved everything about Isaac and BJ’s sweet and sexy love story! Five smooches from me for Same Ol’ Situation by Lacey Black!

Isaac is one of the owners of Burgers and Brew, he is the man behind the numbers hence his nickname "Numbers". Isaac is thrilled they have their official opening night and plans to have his girl by his side, however she dumps him again right before they are to walk through the door. Nursing his bruised heart he ends up noticing BJ, the sister of his best friend. BJ tells it like it is and Numbers finds a new friend and something more. They decide on a no strings attached relationship but the feelings they have for one another grow and it is only a matter of time before it all comes crumbling down, can there be a happily ever after for these two who are meant to be together.

I had wondered what Isaac's story would be like and this did not disappoint. I thought BJ was blunt and so opposite Isaac that their chemistry ignited every time they had an interaction. In the previous book Isaac is the sweet one who is reserved but you have a whole different outlook as he comes out of his shell. Another wonderful book in this series.

The reason why I love this series is mainly because it doesn't spoil me. What do I mean? Simply that I've gotten so used to getting my extra-ordinary demands filled with the variety of books out there, that I've lost touch with reality.

Everything is so heightened these days. So what Lacey's writing does is gets me back to the ground. She explores scenarios, yes. But without making them over-saturated.

And hence why I liked reading Isaac and BJ's story. You get the romance you want, you get the passion, you get the conflict and you get good characters with real problems. What you don't get is confusion and frustration, which you know you feel when even the greatest of novelist put you through the ringer.

And in a world filled with anxiety right now, I think I prefer this— BJ with her level-headed responses, Isaac being a sensitive guy who isn't a straight up dick and their story which makes sense. Not to mention good friendship.

Cheers to all that.

RATING: ⭐⭐⭐⭐.5
STEAM: 🔥🔥🔥

I love a good opposites-attract book, and this read fits that trope to a T.

Isaac's on-and-off girlfriend has left him..again, and this time, she's also had some cutting words about his business and his friends, two things that matter a lot to him. He can't exactly brood at home over his broken heart; today is the opening party of the brewery he owns with his best friends. After taking a few shots with BJ, his best friend's sister, one thing led to another..and here we go.

But they're not exactly the match made in heaven (or are they?). Isaac is clean-cut, by-the-book accountant who lives in three-piece suits and stark condos. BJ is a tattoo artist with pink-streaked hair and a vibrant apartment. What could these two possibly have in common other than they are explosive hot in bed?

You will need to read the book to find out. 😉

Lacey Black always has a penchant to create the most down-to-earth characters, and Isaac and BJ are no different. They are caring and super-protective of the people they care about. I like that they actually admire each other's opposite traits instead of humoring or tolerating it.

The pace of the book is well done for the most part. I love that it hits the ground running with the spice, and there was minimal back-and-forth with the drama.

This is the third book in the series, but it did really well as a standalone.

Stopping this series. Something about these two just rubbed me wrong. He seems like an indecisive wuss and she projects such a hard ' tude when in fact, she's insecure. Neither have the guts to properly communicate and that drives me crazy. And don't get me started on that nut job Savannah. I thought Jasper's story was hard to get through but this was no better. Not even going to touch Jameson's story.

Welcome back to Lacey Black’s Burgers and Brew Crüe. This time Lacey is serving up an unexpected opposites attract romance between Isaac “Numbers” Thompson and BJ Tankersley, tattoo artist and little sister to one of Isaac’s best friends and business partners.

While Issac is the suit wearing spreadsheet loving workaholic, BJ is also a workaholic of the artistic type as a free spirited artist leaving lasting images on her clients. Neither has ever looked at the other and wanted more, until one night their attraction sparks and they both agree to a little fun with no strings attached since Isaac has finally called it quits with his long term on again off again girlfriend and BJ has no time or desire for a relationship.

Of course . . . friends with benefits becomes so much more to both quickly, but neither realizes the other has true feelings, especially when jealousy, exes and brothers are involved!

I adored Same Ol' Situation! Who knew that Numbers could be so unexpected when it comes to having a fling and his super sexy prowess in and out of the bedroom! While he’s sure of himself, I loved his vulnerability when it came to BJ and a relationship with her . . . especially when dealing with his feelings of jealousy! I also loved him trying to navigate his needs without hurting his relationship with Jameson! I also loved BJ as a character! She gives us some amazing insight into the past she shares with her brother (gosh I can’t wait for Jameson’s book)! She is so loving, even though she projects a carefree attitude and a bit of a rough exterior, anyone that knows her sees how dedicated and loyal she is and that she is a big softie when it comes to those she cares about.

Same Ol' Situation was fun, sexy and completely unexpected in the best of ways! BJ and Isaac were perfection! 5 stars

This is Lacey Black at her very best, if I could give Same Ol' Situation more than 5* I would. I fell in love with BJ and Isaac from the start and my love of them just grow over each page I read!

Same Ol' Situation, the third book in the Burgers and Brew Crue is just perfection, this series just keeps getting better and better and this couple's story was not only mesmerising but it produced one of the uniqueness opposites attract couple I have ever read about. BJ and Isaac's story really should never have work, but under the writing skill of Ms Black, they became the missing pieces in each other's lives. BJ is the sister to one of Isaacs best friends and business partners in Burgers and Brew, he is the straight-laced numbers guy, hence his nickname 'Numbers', BJ is the tattoo and body piceing artist who is just a wonderful, warm beautifully woman. This couple had never really had much to do with each other until BJ helped out at the bar, and Isaac is just coming off of the break up yet again with his long time on and of girlfriend Savannah, who let's be honest is a complete waste of space.

The chemistry between BJ and Isaac is hot, the push and pull the pair go through is perfect and once again I am left speechless by Lacy Blacks storytelling.

It's Isaac aka Numbers time and I just knew it would be good.

This series always makes me smile and this one was no different. This was read in one sitting and left me with the biggest smile on my face. Bille Jean (BJ) was just the right woman for the job to make Numbers see that life doesn't need to be always in lines and that sometimes a little deviation makes life that much sweeter. The way they complemented each other and how they just mashed together was really a turn on. The chemistry is off the charts and I just wanted this to continue indefinitely.

Now were down to the last man standing that is   Jameson and all I'm gonna say is Lacey Black doesn't pair him up with the most amazing woman on this planet I'm never reading her again...well that's a lie but still...he needs all the love out there...

This series just makes me so happy every time I revisit their little corner of the world! I just really love this group of characters. And I just wat to state here, before anything, that Jameson is THE ACTUAL BEST and deserves the most amazing of heroines to ever exist and I can't wait for his story even if that means the end of the Burgers and Brew Crüe!

Isaac and BJ were absolutely meant for each other and I won't hear otherwise. Their connection was AMAZING and their chemistry made me blush and I DO NOT blush!!!! Who knew what was hidden under all those suits? And the way the complemented each other was pure magic to witness!

Their journey was beautiful and I was in absolute contentment the whole way through! I couldn't put it down and I read it in one go.

Aww I adored this opposites attract story from Lacey Black. Isaac and BJ were just perfect for each other.

Isaac is the numbers guy at Burgers & Brew, he comes across as safe, a suit wearing straight laced guy but BJ seems to bring out a whole you side to him and makes him happy. She's his total opposite, a sassy tattoo artist with pink in her hair.

BJ has known Issac for a while as the sister of one of his best friends but all he has ever been is a friend but one night together leads to a friends with benefits arrangement. But what happens when they both start to develop feelings will they be honest with each other before it's to late.

This is the third book in this fantastic series each can be read as a standalone but I cam totally recommend each and every one.

Same Ol’ Situation is book 3 in the Burgers and Brew Crüe series. Lacey Black is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors and this book again shows why.

After being dumped by his ex again, it’s clear Isaac’s life isn’t going as planned. When fate steps in, in the form of BJ (his best friend’s sister) Isaac realizes maybe what he thought he wanted, wasn’t really what he wanted.

BJ and Isaac are complete opposites, but for together so perfectly. This story is a little angsty and a whole lotta HOT. I love the Burgers and Brew Crüe.

Issaac and BJ woo where to even begin, these two are just amazing together. We have Issac who is pretty much straight and narrow and dare i say a tad boring at times lol and then we have bj who is outgoing and fun and works in a tattoo shop and is just full of life and she has bold colors and is fun, Opposites attract is one of my favorite things to read ever and throw in a little forbidden with it being his best friends sister and woo you have a good story. I enjoyed Issaac and BJ together they built on a amazing foundation, highly recommend everyone go check it out.

Third Time’s Still the Charm (Mostly).

Three books in, and I’m still enjoying this series. This one was no exception, though I have to say—the main guy just didn’t bring the same spark. Compared to the rest of the cast, he felt a bit… flat. Not terrible, just not as fun or memorable.

The internal monologue saga continues (seriously, someone get these characters a journal), but aside from that, it was a solid read. The story holds up, the side characters still shine, and I’m looking forward to the next one.

First lemme say I’ve loved this series so much from the very beginning and it’s gonna kill me when it’s over. But who knew Numbers had all that in him ?? I certainly did NOT, because holy smokes ….. let’s just say Bj brings out the dirty in our straighlaced Issac… and im here for it …. I love how close all the guys are and they’re the true definition of a FAMILY… I have zero doubts that Jameson is gonna take us out with a BANGGGG!!!! I can’t wait for his story but I also don’t want it to come because it means the end of this Crue

Well then.... Its Mr straight laced, Mr rule follower, Mr professional, Numbers. Don't let the previous books fool you, this man is pure filth. I have read some smut but good grief Isaac and BJ are an explosion of sexual energy!!
I was not expecting but I am not disappointed! The storyline is great; best friends little sister is always a fun trope and their chemistry is insane!
I am well and truly ready for Jamesons book now though! Bring it on!

Okay so I went into this not knowing what to expect. Isaac has always been straight-laced and above board. I didn't know BJ so I was surprised to find her as Jameson's sister and that she was interested in Isaac. He just gets past another breakup with Savannah and, totally out of character, decides to take BJ up on her offer of a drink when he drops her off at home? That didn't seem like him at all. I am all for opposites attracting, but these 2 were totally different. It seemed like it tried too hard to make them fit when they really didn't. Add in the constant second-guessing each of them did and it made for a long book. They each decided to have a casual fling and then neither one of them decided to speak up when their feelings became more. For people in their 30's that just didn't seem right. Both of them are professionals and it wasn't their first relationship rodeo, so I had a hard time buying the whole immature thing. Especially from Isaac. The ending seemed rushed. Also, in Jasper's book he and Lyndee make her birthday cake for her birthday which is Christmas Eve. I was a little confused when they are, again, celebrating her birthday in this book in April... Seeing as I just finished that book yesterday, I am positive this can't be right.

This is my favorite of the Burgers and Brew Crüe so far 4.5 stars. Book 3 Same Ol' Situation was brilliant. Isaac and BJ were both sweet, fun, and oh so hot.

Isaac is the third to fall even though he's had an on-again-off-again girlfriend in the earlier books, let's face it she was hardly noticeable so it was obvious she wasn't the one and Lacey has picked perfectly for Isaac.

Total opposites Isaac the straight-laced, regimented, workaholic needed someone that didn't fit his mold. He deserved someone who gave him a chance to be a little more relaxed and carefree. BJ has always had a type and the ink-free, button-up shirt, quiet studious guy was never it. Somehow Isaac shows her there is more to him under the surface.

The only reason I didn't give this one the full 5 stars is that I struggled a tiny bit in the beginning with the sudden lust and attraction they were feeling. They clearly have known each other for years as Jameson is BJ's big brother and she's been around the crew. One night they suddenly see each other differently. I think if there had always been a lingering simmer of attraction it would have made the difference. Even if it was only with one of them. That might just be my opinion and it was only a small issue I had. Otherwise, like I said my favorite of the crew so far.

Look forward to big surly Jameson next.
.
.
.
Isaac is facing an opening night of Crüe Brew dateless because Savannah has once again called things off. This time right when they were to join everyone else. He can't deal with it right now he has a job to do.

BJ is helping out her brother and his friends open Jameson's vision, Crüe Brew. She can tell something is off with Isaac and as far as she can tell only 3 things will make a guy look like that she's pretty sure she knows what it is from what Jameson says about his girlfriend. Tonight though she's looking a little deeper at Isaac for some reason.

The night doesn't end as pleasantly as it started for the group with Isaac's news becoming common knowledge but it's the unexpected diversion on the way home that changes things. Helping BJ when her car breaks down should have been innocent enough but when he agrees to a drink after he drops her off he's swept up in BJ who seems sexier tonight than ever before.

One wild night is all it can be, Isaac feels awful for going behind his friend's back and for BJ possibly being some kind of rebound. Days later though he still can't stop thinking about her and wanting to seek her out.

When BJ finds Jameson working while sick she sends him home but not before he calls in reinforcements in the form of Isaac. Now she's near him again she doesn't want the time to end. It's been days and she still feels Isaac everywhere.

"Have you ever met someone who's not your type? Someone who doesn't typically check off any of your usual boxes, yet somehow has wormed their way into your head and monopolizes all of your thoughts? So much so you can't stop thinking about them, even when you really want to?"

Neither can deny what they want and they want each other. No complications, no commitments, no feelings. When the feelings start to grow neither are sure what to do. Both want more but assume the ticking clock they agreed to when they started their friends-with-benefits arrangement will end it. Calling it before they fall might be the best idea, or they could admit they want more. It's too late to stop the fall and maybe the heartbreak will come no matter what.

'Sometimes the best things in life happen when you least expect them.'

Happy Reading.

Hated this one. Neither of them have an adult conversation about what they want, so they’re miserable the whole book. Too many mistakes, and I really didn’t believe in them.

That has to be the most miserable depressing book ever. Wow it’s awful! The first book was really good, the second wasn’t great but this one is terrible. I don’t believe that Isaac who thought Savannah would be his forever would jump into bed straight away with BJ who is Jameson’s sister. The SAME NIGHT that Savannah split up with him again. BJ and Isaac don’t work for me at all as a couple. They can’t even be honest about what they want in a relationship! They’re both supposed to be ecstatic that they’re only having s*x yet they’re both in love with each other. Oh for crying out loud JUST TALK TO EACH OTHER!!!

After Savannah dumps Isaac yet again on the opening night of the brewery, he suddenly notices BJ for the first time ever. Which is really odd considering that BJ hasn’t been mentioned in any of the previous books, that Jameson has a younger sister! When Isaac sees BJ broken down at the side of the road, he stops to give her a lift and for some weird reason they end up having wild s*x all night. It felt weird and cringy as it was only a few hours before he had been dumped by the woman that he wanted to stay with for life. They both feel guilty about Jameson, Isaac more so as he’s intimidated by him. So they agree to keep seeing each other just for s*x. Which neither of them wants but they can’t about it. 😡😡😡

There’s some mild interference from the crazy Savannah and that’s it. I didn’t like either of them. BJ is constantly talking about her bits and masking them happy. Weird! Isaac needs to man up and talk to Jameson which he never does, and stop being such a wimp! There are a lot of mistakes in this one.

Hated it! One last try and then I’ll give up.

Same Ol Situation is book three in the Burgers and Brew Crue, and whilst it can be read as a stand-alone, it is also interconnected. I love being able to see past characters invade newer books, and the past characters from the previous books in this series did just that.

Now onto the Same Ol Situation. Let me just appalled this author real quick because all these guys’ are so different from one another, and that makes for a completely different dynamic for each character and each book released. With that said, I have been anticipating Numbers’ book. I knew he was going to be something special, and that’s exactly what he was. But before we hop into the amazing Issac, let me just throw out some facts about his overall book.

The Same Ol Situation is an Lacey Black original filled with development that was paced out perfectly. Issac’s ‘Same Ol Situation’ was a light book that didn’t have the plot all drawn out over the entirety of the storyline. There was great dialogue and one of a kind chemistry. Chemistry between two people that you would never think would work. Kinda like dark versus light, dog versus cat, but somehow they just go together.

Issac is the straight laced numbers guy, that is impressively dressed. He is in touch with his feminine side, and isn’t afraid to let his sensitivity show. BJ is the creative type that loves all things color and loves to display her work on human skin versus canvas’.

Can two people that live two completely different lives have something they both thought was never possible? Or is the dark too much for the light?

* I recommend this book.

Same Ol' Situation by Lacey Black is the 3rd book in the Burgers and Brew Crüe Series. The series is about a group of 4 guys who own and operate a bar/restaurant.  You get to know each of the guys a little more in each book. Book 3 focuses on Isaac, the serious one, and can be read as a standalone.  I've wanted to know more about the serious Isaac Thompson a.k.a "Numbers" since book 1, Kickstart My Heart.

"𝑇ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑠𝑢𝑑𝑑𝑒𝑛 𝑎𝑡𝑡𝑟𝑎𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑖𝑠 𝑎𝑖𝑚𝑒𝑑 𝑎𝑡 𝑠𝑜𝑚𝑒𝑜𝑛𝑒 𝐼’𝑣𝑒 𝑛𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟 𝑙𝑜𝑜𝑘𝑒𝑑 𝑡𝑤𝑖𝑐𝑒 𝑎𝑡 𝑖𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑝𝑎𝑠𝑡. 𝑆𝑜𝑚𝑒𝑜𝑛𝑒 𝑤ℎ𝑜 ℎ𝑎𝑠 𝑎𝑙𝑤𝑎𝑦𝑠 𝑏𝑒𝑒𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒𝑟𝑒, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑓𝑟𝑎𝑛𝑘𝑙𝑦, 𝑝𝑟𝑜𝑏𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑦 𝑎𝑙𝑤𝑎𝑦𝑠 𝑤𝑖𝑙𝑙 𝑏𝑒. 𝑆𝑜𝑚𝑒𝑜𝑛𝑒 𝑤𝑖𝑡ℎ 𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑦 𝑘𝑖𝑠𝑠𝑎𝑏𝑙𝑒 𝑙𝑖𝑝𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑒𝑦𝑒𝑠 𝐼 𝑐𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑 𝑑𝑟𝑜𝑤𝑛 𝑖𝑛. 𝑆𝑜𝑚𝑒𝑜𝑛𝑒 𝐼 𝑠ℎ𝑜𝑢𝑙𝑑𝑛’𝑡 𝑤𝑎𝑛𝑡, 𝑦𝑒𝑡…𝑑𝑜."

After Isaac’s on-again, off-again girlfriend dumps him he notices his friend Jameson’s sister, BJ. There is something about looking into her whiskey eyes that captures his attention. But she's his friend's little sister and his complete opposite. When Isaac sees BJ broken down on the side of the road he offers her a ride home. When BJ invites him in for a drink, the sparks fly. Oh boy…..the serious, straight and narrow guy has a sexy and passionate side. Isaac and BJ can not deny their sudden attraction and chemistry. Neither are looking for a serious relationship, but can't stop thinking about each other and agree to a friends-with-benefits relationship. As time goes by they both develop deeper feelings and want more. A lack of communication (and some ex drama) puts any possibility of a relationship at risk.

"𝑇ℎ𝑒 𝑎𝑐𝑡𝑢𝑎𝑙 𝑚𝑎𝑛 𝑏𝑒𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑒 𝑚𝑒 𝑖𝑠 𝑎 𝑠𝑡𝑎𝑟𝑘 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑟𝑎𝑑𝑖𝑐𝑡𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝑡𝑜 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑣𝑒𝑟𝑠𝑖𝑜𝑛 𝐼 ℎ𝑎𝑑 𝑖𝑛 𝑚𝑦 ℎ𝑒𝑎𝑑. 𝑇ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑜𝑛𝑒 𝑖𝑠 𝑏𝑜𝑙𝑑𝑒𝑟, 𝑠𝑒𝑥𝑖𝑒𝑟, 𝑑𝑖𝑟𝑡𝑖𝑒𝑟 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑛 𝐼 𝑒𝑣𝑒𝑟 𝑒𝑥𝑝𝑒𝑐𝑡𝑒𝑑, 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝐼 𝑐𝑎𝑛’𝑡 𝑤𝑎𝑖𝑡 𝑓𝑜𝑟 𝑚𝑜𝑟𝑒."

Same Ol’ Situation is a fun, sexy opposites attract, brother’s best friend story with all the feels.  Isaac and BJ burn up the pages right from the beginning 🔥🥵🌶!  And…..her brother, Jameson…..swoon.  I can’t wait for his upcoming story.

Oh Isaac, you have DEFINITELY done a "Number" on my heart! Who knew that the quiet, straight-laced accountant Isaac (AKA Numbers) had all of THAT going on under his designer suits??!! Well, I should've remembered that it's the quiet ones you have to watch out for!

First, I have to say that Lacey Black is an auto-one-click author for me since a friend "forced me" to read the first book in the River's Edge series, Trust Me (that was over 6 years ago!) and I've been obsessed ever since! Same Ol' Situation, the third book in the Burgers and Brew Crüe series, is a prime example of WHY I adore her writing! This series about four friends who are more like family couldn't be any different, and yet they are just so RIGHT!

When Isaac finds himself single after being dumped (AGAIN!!!) by a woman who he thought was going to be his HEA, fate steps in and opens his eyes to BJ (AKA Billie Jean), who just happens to be his friend and co-owner of Burgers and Brew, Jameson's, little sister! Things take a decidedly STEAMY detour and feelings start to develop, even though this was supposed to be a casual, no strings hook up!

Once again, Ms. Black has outdone herself with her insanely good character development, plot twists and the truly inspiring relationship between these four very different men and the saucy, sassy women who keep them in line! BJ is no exception! She's an AMAZING, unforgettable character and I can't WAIT for the next book in the series....Jameson is shaping up to be the BEST of the bunch!

Now this is a series that is going far and beyond my wildest imagination it's totally rocking. I thought Walker and Jasper were it for me but there is just something about the quiet, studious ones that are surprising. So far Lacey Black has hidden Isaac from her readers and now we know why beceause he is oh so fine and sexy. Yes I know too many and's but hello there is just so much Isaac is hiding from us. The chemistry between Isaac and B.J. is unlike anything they have known which makes this romance very surprising and unexpected. I loved seeing Isaac get outside the box and finally be the wild man we all know he is to be. Not only do we have this new love but seeing B.J. worry about Jameson's reaction was truly sibling love. One thing about Lacey Black is when she gets two opposites together get ready for fireworks to explode because it is only going to get hotter than ever. All in all once again this is a series you have to get it's mindblowing how everything in this restaurant comes together for a chance at happiness we never saw coming. Cannot wait to see what she does in the next book.

I love a good opposites attract romance and when you add in a best friend’s younger sister to the mix that just makes it all the better. Same Ol’ Situation was sweet and sexy and a bit of conflict to make it interesting. Isaac (aka Numbers) is the money man behind the Burgers and Brews the restaurant and club he and his three friends co-own. After breaking up with his on again/off again girlfriend on a night when he needed a friend and some comfort, Isaac breaks the bro-code rule and sleeps with BJ his friend and business partner, Jameson’s younger sister. While they at first agree they shouldn’t see each other again and just remain friends, they soon embark on a friends with benefits arrangement but soon feelings get involved and they really aren’t sure how to handle those or how to tell Jameson. I really loved these two together, they were so different in some respects but they just fit. Their attraction was undeniable, but it was easy to see their feelings growing with each interaction. While they had their share of intimate moments, there were sweet moments and life issues to be deal with as well. Neither one was perfect and they had some difficult times, but with humor, friends, and a really smart older brother they found their way to love and happiness.

This is book 3 in the series but it easily stands alone. Its a brothers best friend and opposites attract romance with Isaac and BJ.

BJ is Jamieson's little sister. Their parents died and J pretty much raised BJ. Now she is all grown up, helps out at the restaurant and is a tattoo artist. She has always crushed a little on Isaac but he is very serious and into serious relationships and has just been dumped on a very important night.

BJ is not into serious and Isaac decides to give not serious a shot. And so they have some very steamy nights as they try to keep it from her brother.

This was a HOT story and I enjoyed it. I liked the other books in the series more, but this was a fun and hot romance too. It had a little angyst and some drama with the ex in it. I would have liked a bit more time after the ex before Isaac moves on but otherwise I enjoyed it.

I really loved BJ a lot. She was this really strong woman who knows who and what she wants and she goes after that. I really loved her and her best friend and Jax.

I received a complimentary early release copy of this e-book from the author prior to release and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Same Ol’ Situation is book three in the Burgers and Brew Crüe series, and it’s an opposites-attract, best-friend’s sister read! Totally LOVED this book.

Isaac Thompson owns Burgers and Brew along with this three best friends Jasper, Jameson and Walker. Each one has their own “forte” in said business….Isaac is the numbers man, hence his nickname, Numbers. He is as “business” as you can get – suits/ties, facts and figures, and spreadsheets. However, after one night of letting his guard down… he just wants to see BJ spread on his sheets.

BJ Tankersley is Jameson little sister and works as a tattoo artist. She is a little spitfire with her own tattoo, piercings, and colorful hair – and I totally loved her!

BJ and Numbers are complete opposites, but fit together so perfectly. I loved how BJ tipped the world over for straitlaced Numbers and Numbers was exactly what BJ has been looking for. The banter, the sexiness, the secondary characters…loved it all. Plus we also get to see what Jasper & Lyndee, Jameson, as well as Walker/Mallory/ Lizzie have been up too!

Dual POV and a HEA – no cliffhanger. Can't wait for Jameson's story!

Same Ol' Situation (SoS) is an opposites attract, best friends sister book and I enjoyed it from cover to cover. This is the third in the Burgers and Brew series but can be read as a standalone.

SoS focuses on straight-laced, buttoned-up Isaac (better known as Numbers) and BJ, the tattooed, free-spirited little sister of Isaac's best friend and business partner. These two couldn't be less alike if they tried and although they've been in each other's orbit for years because of the guys friendship, they've never taken the time to get to know each other. After another break-up with his horrible ex-girlfriend, Isaac begins to see BJ in a new light. Isaac begins to realize she brings color to his black and white life and much needed breath of fresh air. Their once casual arrangement doesn't feel casual anymore.

I loved this book. Super sweet story of opposites attract and because we already knew the guys, it felt like coming home. Bj and Isaac were perfect for each other and wow, their chemistry was off the charts. Can't wait to finish this series with big bad Jameson!
