Book Two in the thrilling Reliance Trilogy is finally here!

Finn No Last Name has fled her crewmates aboard Independence, after discovering that she’d been betrayed by the person she trusted most.

Now on her own, she searches for other hybrids like her, with powers she can only imagine. That search brings her to Enyo, a Sirian warrior who has been a captive of the Reliance for years. Finally free, she is more than eager to join Finn on her mission to locate and free more hybrids.

But that search brings her back to Independence, whether she likes it or not. And back to Conrad whom she is starting to realize has feelings for her she can’t quite fathom. And to Iliana, her long-lost sister, whose breach of trust left Finn feeling even more alone than she had when she thought Iliana dead.

With Enyo and AJ in tow, Finn goes on a mission to locate and free other hybrids, only to find herself in a true battle between life and death, in front of an audience of thousands . . .

The first was so good that I immediately started (and finished) book 2. New charecters are introduced. Even more truths are revealed. Backstabbing occurs. That ending......wow! Not sure when we will see the final installment, but I have a feeling it is going to be amazing and action packed. While not a cliffhanger ending, definitely an ending that sets the stage for major upheaval.

Some Plot Points:

There was some type of multi-species, galaxy resistance to an invading force and the original inhabitants lost. Book picks up sometime after that….

There are some type of hybrid species that make the invaders nervous enough to institute a propaganda war.

Finn was at some point, separated from her family (sister) and had a very different original life.

Series of events to bring some truths out into the open…..

Impressions:
     Fast paced

I received Disobedience as an ARC (advanced reader copy). Even though I had not read Book 1 of this trilogy, I found it easy to pick up the trilogy theme. In this book, Finn must return to the Independence where she comes to terms with the complexities of her relationships with Conrad and her sister, Illiana. With such a variety of hybrids and their alien appearances, Kaitlyn Andersen has the ability to describe them in such detail that I could easily visualize each as if watching a movie. A definite page turner. I highly recommend this to everyone who loves sci-fi

Okay. The wax thing was my only issue. The main character is back to being hard hearted. Let's see where this goes.
