This is a new book of short non-fiction work from award-winning writer Bob Kunzinger. These flash pieces are fractions of essays, quick moments from travels, from observations; some of the work is new and some from readings along side writers as diverse as Tim Seibles and Arnost Lustig. And some have become instant classic pieces published in multiple journals and magazines. Here in one collection are works as diverse as the popular anecdotal "Flip Flops" to the reflective digressions in "Small Talk" and "Smuggling Cole." Fragments contains the author's critically acclaimed short work somewhere between prose poetry("When You Lied") to narrative ("Conversation Pieces") and memoir ("Cycle").
Bob Kunzinger is the author of five books, including Blessed Twilight: The Story of Vincent van Gogh; Out of Nowhere: Scenes from St Petersburg; Prof; Penance; and Meanwhile in Leningrad. His essays have appeared in many regional and national publications, including The Chronicle of Higher Education. His essay "Sliced Bread" is listed as one of the most notable essays of 2007 in Best American Essays 2008
Bob is a professor of arts and humanities at Saint Leo University and Tidewater Community College in Virginia.
