Revolution waits for no man

Leon doesn't want a leading role. Too bad for him. Between his new promotion and the attention of protagonist Livia and villainess Angie, no one will leave him alone--least of all the prince and his lordly gang. As Leon struggles for independence, tension grows with his allies. But soon, they'll have to band together to face the greatest danger imaginable, one that threatens to destabilize the game itself.

The second book in the series is essentially the 2nd half of the first season of the anime, and I have to say, it was pretty spot on. A lot of times, anime adaptations of light novels move things around, remove things, or just change things entirely. But I have to say, having watched the season and reading the light novel, it's a pretty 1 to 1 spot on representation.

It's always good to see an internalization of the character's thoughts in a book format after watching the show so you have a better idea of what they're thinking and this volume has some good internal looks into the characters.

In this half Leon basically has to deal with pirates and help the other nobles save themselves from said pirates.

It's definitely more action-y than the first volume, but still good in its own right. Olivia is fine as well as Angie (essentially his 2 love interests) and the rest of the characters make it an interesting read.

In the story he proclaims himself a background character, when, in actuality, he plays himself much more off as an antagonist to the main character crew than a background character, which can be quite fun when he's a jerk to the spoiled MC's.

for a "Light" novel, this certainly was a chunky one, clocking it around 480 pages. Luckily it still read fast and I enjoyed the continued story. definitely going into volume 3 after this as i definitely want to see where this story goes now that we're past where the anime is at.

solid 4 out of 5.

The story continues much like the first volume, at the Academy where Leon is trying to remain in the background, but he cannot ignore the plight of his friends or ignore his own anger towards the unfairness of the world. The characters and world have more depth then most of the games that are being made a jab at in the story, and there is growth even with Leon's at times very irritating and shallow personality. Some of the events feel a bit off, great for the story, but a bit odd from a worldbuilding perspective (most notably the situation with the cruise later on in the story). Still, I enjoyed the story and I am curious were things are going.

I had a blast with this volume, even if a few parts felt overly long. The battles were exciting and over-the-top in the best way, while the school drama was ridiculous but fun. Leon’s snarky commentary still carries the series, and I laughed out loud more than once. I liked seeing the heroines develop more personality, though some relationships still feel undercooked. A very enjoyable book that keeps the series’ momentum going.

The MC is a dummy. The women are competent and incredibly stupid.

The commoner female doesn't seem to understand anything going on around her. The noble female is subservient to her father. Since this world is supposed to be ran by the women, where is her mother?

This book is cleverly designed to claim SJW points while going with the same old story.

Great second book

This was a good book.
While the MC can be dense at times, he is still good to read. Thoght it’s his friends Angie and Livie that I really liked.

Thought it helped that I read it after reading the manga.
Looking forward to the next book.

A really good read!

This book was really good! If you have watched the anime, then this concludes with the last episode events. But it also gives you more information. This is definitely worth reading. I definitely recommend watching the anime before reading the book.

So fun

I started with the anime and am now devouring the novels. If you like bitter characters who overlook there own heart of gold this is for you, or if you like action or harem romance or have a pulse.

Journey forward to new content!

Here completes my anime knowledge! It seems the events from season 1 all end with the epilogue from this volume. I enjoyed the read but really like forward to the next volume!

So I am really warming to this story. Digging the dynamics between Leon and Luxion as they make a good duo. Mylene is clearly best girl.

Not much to say, love the action scenes and some more of perspectives from characters other than Leon himself.

I have read till the end of Volume 5....
It all depends on the ending ...if it has happy harem ending it is AWESOME else NOT.

I really LOVE the MC (LEON),

He is good and the constituents of his Harem are really fine Ladies....but I don't  LIKE (I hate that idiot sometimes I felt sympathetic at her state but the other feelings are stronger...)Marie..I agree she had good contribution in vol 4 but I dont wanna see her more...

ALso I hope the MC ends up with Olivia Angelica Noelle and Louise by the end of this series....They are the best...I would really LOVE to see that more wonderful ladies fall in Love with Leon like his beautiful  senpais....I really want this in the form of an Anime....

I love you Yomu Mishima for giving us something like this....please take care of the developments from here....

Advice:There should some alone time where Leon shows his affection to his fiancees,Noelle,Louise.....Eagerly awaiting Volume 6 and hoping for a nice happy harem ending...preferably with Marie out of the entire equation or crying tears of blood
