Book 4 of Wolfes of Manhattan, Rake was everything and more than I expected. Helen Hardt delivered an amazing, suspenseful, emotional, and intense story. Zee's story hit home for me a little, as much as Runaway (Riley's story and book 3 of the series) did, so my emotions ran high for this. Zee and Reid had the ultimate push and pull between each other that I love so much!
This is a must-read series!

Zee, whose mom wanted her to be a model, actress, dancer or anything. Unfortunately, for her mom, not Zee, that "big break," never happened. After graduating, Zee gets accepted into Smith college, in Massachusetts. Along the way, she stops for some sightseeing, where then her life became nothing more than a nightmare.
Reid, like his brothers Rock and Roy, and sister Riley, is being investigated for their fathers murder. They are all innocent, even if each have a reason for wanting him dead. Reid needs to seduce Zee into his bed (he is the Wolfe of Manhattan, after all) to then convince her to come back to New York with him, to help prove his, and his siblings innocence.
Reid likes Zee. Zee likes Reid. Both keep their feelings to themselves. They dance around each other throughout the book.
Read Rake, Wolfes of Manhattan book 4 to find out how long that dance lasts, and what happens when the dance ends.
Helen Hardt, never disappoints. From Rebel, Wolfes of Manhattan book 1 through Rake, book 4 you are going to be entertained.

She has the keys to the kingdom with the knowledge Rake desperately needs to help his family get off the hook for his father's murder. But Rake soon realizes that Zinnia is not that easily seduced by his charisma.
Zinnia is drawn to Rake like a magnet but she is holding her cards close to her chest. Her struggles to surrender to him are crumbling fast and she knows she cannot resist his charms forever. Reid quickly realizes he is experiencing feelings that never existed within him when he is with Zinnia and it troubles him deeply. As new information is surfacing, Rake realizes he and Zinnia are facing much more than they first realized.

The downfall of reading Helen Hardt's books is that there is no such thing as pacing myself while reading them. My copy was delivered today while I was at work and I read this book in just under four hours.
What a spectacular read, Helen Hardt!!! I have not yet been disappointed with the Wolfes of Manhattan series.

He Was THE WOLFE OF MANHATTAN. It was time that Reid needed to use his special skill set to get what he needed. To get what his family needed. Reid needed answers....answers he could only get from Zee. But what would his seduction skills do to Her, to him? Read book 4 to get something questions answered. What those answers cost Reid and Zee.

Noooooo ...
First of all, the change in Reid is stunning, and Zee is the absolute perfect heroine for him.
But now, I have more questions, since this series began with Rock, through all the omg's and machinations, I just knew I would at least feel that Reid and Zee were happy together, and hopefully closer to an understanding of all the manipulative actions, and this poor family's trials due to their evil paternal donor!
But now, my stomach is in knots, it seems I waited forever for Reid and Zee's book, but ...

Magnificent!!
This just keeps getting better with each book, seriously all the previous books were just amazing and the chemistry with each couple is extraordinary but when you meet Reid, you have problems choosing your favorite Wolfe.
I can’t wait for the next book, I can’t wait to finally find out who did it and for their happily ever after to start and obviously to see what’s going to happen to Reid and Zee, I absolutely loved them, loved his tender side and her determination and courage to find herself.

Things are really getting more interesting and so much more horrific. it was so hard so read at some moments because of the information that was being revealed about the woman that had been tortured and murdered.
The story is moving forward and now when the end is near I can’t wait to know everything.

Not the best writing around but it is a quick easy read and the plot itself actually isn't that bad. Surprisingly not as many sex scenes as I was expecting but it didn't feel lacking in anyway.

What an amazing addition to the ever exciting series! Reid and Zee’s story is like none other, especially with their history and unfortunate connection. And, the search continues for the killer of Derek Wolfe while everyone is a suspect and constantly on the edge of their seats with worry. The implications, the planted evidence, and the secrets will blow you away!
Zee, one of the “hunted” of Derek’s games that was fortunate enough to escape, has become the object of affection for the Wolfe of Manhattan, Reid Wolfe. Her past has come back to haunt her in the form of a gorgeous, blue-eyed man with a voice that has changed her life for the worse. Except, his voice was kind, rather than terrifying.
Reid is willing to go the extra length to get the truth and find out who actually killed their father. The fourth installment of The Wolfes of Manhattan series and I tell you my favorite of the series so far!
Reid Wolfe is an arrogant womanizer who wears that title with pride. He will seduce women for his gain and never think twice about it. This Mystery of his father's secret life and his murder is continuing to put him and he's siblings at the top of the suspect list. Reid will do anything to get the truth and clear all their names. So if seducing a woman will get them more proof they need so be it!
Zee is a tortured soul with a past she isn't proud of and terrified to relive even just telling her full story to the Wolfes terrified her. She's the key to answers they need to help them all be cleared of the murder.
When Reid puts on his charm Zee is not swayed... at first. With her wanting to do the right thing she goes bat to New York with him to help them any way she can. With seeing a different side of Reid she's losing her fight to stay arms length and not get attached.
Reid is having feelings he's never had before and not sure what to do.
Helen gives us different sides of ALL the characters and sucks us in even deeper to their world! This one is my new favorite of the series and I am seeing Reid in a whole new light.
I'm highly recommending Rake and guarantee you'll love it!

Helen Hardt always delivers! Rake is the 4th part of the Wolfes of Manhattan series where we see the story between the Wolfe of Manhattan himself, Reid and Zee. We get to meet Zee at the end of the last book and we have learned that she was a victim of the “hunt” and saved by Roy. Reid was never my favorite brother in the other books but we do get to see him in a different light in this book. I love the playboy finding someone he needs to protect. I truly loved Reid and Zee story! Although I do hope the next book is from their point of view again since this book has left without the “happily ever after” love that the other Wolfes have found in their books. Reid and Zee story feels a bit unfinished at the end of this book. I do almost like it more that it was left with more to be told. I do feel like the other Wolfe stories were a bit “rushed” in how fast the progressed in their relationships. The story line of who killed their father is getting intense and I crave more! Just like any other Helen Hardt’s books I couldn’t put it down and I’m dying to get my hands on the 5th book whenever it does come out! Definitely a must read!!!

The mystery into Derek Wolfe's murder deepen with every passing hour. While the Wolfe's try to discover the identity of the murderer, the police keep pointing fingers at the siblings and by extension those they love.
Rake is Reid Wolfe and Zee Reid's story. He's the real power behind Wolfe Enterprises and she's the only known survivor of Derek Wolfe's cruel, macabre games. Getting her to tell her story is his mission but somewhere along the way he starts to develop feelings for. But that's not how the Wolfe of Manhattan operates. He's a love 'em and leave 'em kinda guy. There's just something about this beautiful damaged woman that makes him re-order his priorities.

I am so blown away by this book!!! The mystery of who done it has everyone second guessing each other trying to find clues to who really did kill their father. In the midst of all of this intense drama trying to figure out who killed their father, the four siblings have each found their true soul mates and fallen in love! They have also told their stories about the abuse or neglect they suffered at their fathers hands. As they share, they find out horrific things about the past. Can Reid, Rock, Roy and Reilly figure out who killed their father and is setting them up in the process!?! I’m on the edge of my seat trying to figure it out! Romance and mystery - Helen Hardt at her finest!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Reid and zee made a good couple with so much drama, suspense and emotions.
There were more questions left unanswered.
Waiting for the finale and many more books from Ms Hardt .She is a talented author who has her unique style of writing. I am a fan of her Steele brothers saga. But Steele n Wolfe have two much in common. That doesn't take away the fact that I enjoyed all books. Rebel, Recluse n Rake were good but I was a little dissapointed with Runaway.
Connie Wolfe is a half baked character out of all the characters.
Derek Wolfe is an enigma.
Hopefully all my questions will be answered soon...

Zee decides to comeback to New York to tell her story and help Reid and the family, what she got in return was a lot more than she bargained for.

It’s fun to see him lose his cool as he becomes entranced with Zee, but struggles to find balance with that after getting her full story. Strong, sexy, wealthy and so suave, he’s the dream guy every girl would love to snag. Almost to the conclusion of Derek Wolfe’s murderer, the plot has thickened so much, you can’t help but speculate and sit on the edge of your seat ready to dive into the last book!

Helen Hardt has done it again. The story of Zee and Reid was phenomenal, it was a page turner, didn't want it end.
Zee has been through so much and falling for the son, who looks like Reid's father who is the monster. But love will win then end I hope.
This was one of my favorites ❤ ah no scratch that Helen is amazing creations are truly a great way for the perfect sit down drink wine,eat snacks and get-away from what's going on in life. Thank you Helen for everything you write and put your heart and love into your masterpieces.

This is the fourth book in the wolves of Manhattan series by Helen Hardt. The characters are very well rounded and the plot has all kinds of twist. The father has been murdered and the four children are all implicated in his death however there is an underlying possibility that he may not be dead at all but who knows. I absolutely love this author and I love all of her books. This one was no exception.

I couldn't put down Reid and Zee's book. I loved it from beginning to end. The hard scarey struggle Zee had to endure and the love she is finding in the one man that she never thought to find it in. Reid has promised to protect and keep her safe but he didn't count on falling for her. As the plot thickens their love goes. But who will be the first to admit it? Can't wait to read book 5!

I absolutely loved Reid and Zee. They were brought together by some unfortunate circumstances yet make the best out of it. Zee realizes that Reid is definitely not like his Father. Does Reid have more to offer Zee than he thinks?

She did it again!!!
I didn’t expect to like this book as I liked the predecessors, but again, Ms Hardt pulled another rabbit out of a hat. This book was very very good. The story line was rich and developed and Reid got an equivalent storyline like the other siblings. I love the fact that Reid turned into a much better person than even he believed thought he was. Good wins over evil or the underdog came out on top.

Strange, The mystery thickens. Is Declan Wolfe really dead? Reid and Zee live each other but neither knows that the other one does, Zee wants for real, si does Reid but each thinks the other doesn’t. They think it is a temporary marriage of convenience. Now Kacy of all people is arrested, set up by someone. Morgan the detective is hiding something, everyone is suspect. It is time to end this. It is going on too long.

The plot thickens!!! Wow, just finished Rake & did not see the quickie wedding for Reid & Zee. Nor, did I see Lacey’s arrest. Who is pulling all the strings, planting evidence and trying to destroy The Wolfes, Derek’s children. Now the wait for the Reckoning and to learn the truth. Helen, you constantly keep me hooked.
