A collection of seventeen tales with a twist, by the author of the bestselling novels 'The Delta Chain,' and 'Disappear.'
What a terrific collection. Having read Iain Edward Henn's books before, I was expecting a lot and wasn't let down. The writing is gritty, the characters stand out, and each story comes with an unexpected twist that I just loved.
Every story had a bit of a twist, hence the title. Unfortunately, I started to see every twist coming. Bad guys nearly always got their comeuppance. Double crossers were double crossed themselves.
Still it was a nice read, stories were short enough to read in just a few minutes.
A very nice set of short stories with surprise endings. . . some pretty shocking too
An easy read with short stories that have interesting characters and situations. Some stories seemed predictable ... but the author indeed surprises the reader in the end.
3.5 stars. I thought a couple of the stories were really well done, but not half of them. Most seemed abrupt, although my favorite ("Eyes On You") was one of the shortest!
