The prequel of Blue Twilight begins on a summer evening in 1989. Sixteen-year-old Carlie Webster is flying high when Cole Paisley confesses his love and seals the moment with a kiss on top of the Ferris wheel. But later that night Carlie and Cole come crashing to the ground when tragedy strikes.
This is the introduction to Blue Twilight, the fifth book in the page-turning Blue Mountain: Logan Bend contemporary romance series.
Tess Thompson Romance...hometowns and heartstrings.
Tess Thompson is the USA Today Bestselling and award-winning author of contemporary and historical Romantic Women’s Fiction with over 60 published titles. When asked to describe her books, she could never figure out what to say that would perfectly sum them up until she landed on, Hometowns and Heartstrings.
She’s married to her prince, Best Husband Ever, and is the mother of their blended family of four kids and five cats. Best Husband Ever is seventeen months younger, which qualifies Tess as a Cougar, a title she wears proudly. Her Bonus Sons are young adults with pretty hair and big brains like their dad. Daughters, better known as Princess One and Two, are teenagers who make their mama proud because they’re kind. They’re also smart, but a mother shouldn’t brag.
Tess loves lazy afternoons watching football, hanging out on the back patio with Best Husband Ever, reading in bed, binge-watching television series, red wine, strong coffee and walks on crisp autumn days. She laughs a little too loudly, never knows what to make for dinner, looks ridiculous kickboxing in an attempt to combat her muffin top, and always complains about the rain even though she chose to live in Seattle.
She’s proud to have grown up in a small town like the ones in her novels. After graduating from the University of Southern California Drama School, she had hopes of becoming an actress but was called instead to writing fiction. She’s grateful to spend most days in her office matchmaking her characters while her favorite cat Mittens (shhh…don’t tell the others) sleeps on the desk.
She adores hearing from readers, so don’t hesitate to say hello or sign up for her newsletter: http://tesswrites.com/. You’ll receive an ebook copy of her novella, The Santa Trial, for your efforts.
This was another short book but it was so good. Carlie has had a crush on cole for as long as she can remember but she doesn’t think he’s interested in her. Carlie and her sister Beth go to the local fair with the paisley brothers (Luke, Drew and Cole). Beth is dating Luke. Beth decides to leave early as she’s not feeling well. So Carlie stays behind and her and cole get talking and they tell each other how they feel. This is a prologue to the next book in the series. Carlie comes home from the fair only to find her whole life changed and not for good either. Now I need to read the book that follows this!!

This was just a very short start to the next Blue Mountain book by Tess Thompson. It really makes me want to read it now. As in right now. I believe this will be her best book yet as it has some thriller aspect to it and that is my favorite genre to read. The Blue Mountain series is great. This prolog book is free on Amazon and the whole series is ready to by with the exception of the next one: BLUE TWILIGHT!! I read this in almost 30 minutes. A very quick one to prepare you for the novel. 5/5 stars of course!
This prequel by Tess Thompson is the teaser to her complete novel "Blue Twilight." It is included in the full novel, so don't buy it if you're buying the novel. This short is a great teaser, where we meet the Paisley brothers and the Webster sisters. They are all in high school, heading out to enjoy the annual carnival. Young love is discovered, then tragedy strikes. Definitely worth the read! Ms. Thompson picks the story up thirty years later in the full novel. Thank you to the author and publisher for the opportunity to read an advanced copy. All opinions are my own.
Looking forward to rest of this story! This is the prologue for the main book and reads like a trailer/advertisment f the main book which will be comng out in the near future. Thank goodness! What an introduction! In typical Tess Thompsn style, she gives you a little nibble at a mystery and you just have to read the rest. I am so looking forward to the full story!
Oh, my gosh! This prologue has a bit of everything in it! What a way to introduce the next book in the Blue Mountain series.....with a cliff hanger! I can't wait to read another fantastic novel by the amazing Tess Thompson! I have enjoyed each and every story she's released. I'm in such anticipation!
Blue Twilight Short is a fabulous introduction to Blue Twilight. You get to meet Carlie and the Paisley brothers early start. Makes you want to dig right into Blue Twilight right away and find out all the secrets that have yet to come out. This is a very quick read and hold onto your seats because Blue Twilight is so worth it.
This is just the prologue to the fifth book in the Blue Mountain series by Tess Thompson. It is also the first book featuring a new family in the area, who live in a neighboring town. Note that it ends on sort of a cliffhanger, but is designed to whet your appetite to find out what really happened after Beth left the fair and what secret she was hiding. I know I am ready to devour the new book!
What a beginning!!! I can not wait to read the full story if Blue Twilight! This short story has me wanting more. Oh the joy and uncertainty of young love! And poor Beth! I have to know what happened to her! Tess Thompson sure knows how to draw you in!
This short book is a prequel to the authors Blue Twilight. Everybody is having a good time, until they find out Beth has been murdered. ThIs story is short but powerful. I can’t wait for Blue Twilight to be released to find out how this story plays out.
Wow!! This short prologue to Blue Twilight ends with such a shocking cliffhanger that will definitely make you want to see what happens. I can’t wait to read the full length book.
This was an interesting and moving novella to set the stage for the next Blue Mountain book. Read it now it is free and it will set the stage for the next book! : Blue Twilight!
This prologue is also found in the next book. It gets you hooked into the story and keeps you intrigued. It leaves a lot of unanswered questions and gets you to fall for the characters.
I know I am late in posting this but I cannot wait to read the full novel. This prologue draws me into the world of Logan Bend and Cole and Carlie's world.
I am a fan of the Blue Mountain series by Tess Thompson. This short story does exactly what I'm sure Tess intended-it leaves the reader in suspense wanting to know more about these characters! I am eager to dive into the full story and learn more about these characters and the town of Logan's Bend, which is near Peregrine, where the first three books are set.
Blue Twilight Short by Tess Thompson This prelude to Ms. Thompson’s new book Blue Twilight will make you wish the book was already released. OMG. Such a good jump start to the book. I can’t wait to read the rest of the story!!
I just knew reading this “short” that most likely, I’d be once again hooked on a series! Just downloaded this morning and now headed to order the rest of the story! Tess Thompson never disappoints!
