I had no idea what to expect going into this book. I discovered Joss Wood's books back when the KISS line was still around (miss that one), so when I saw her name scroll by on the Harlequin website, I snagged this one. It was a good, solid romance.

The heroine, Roisin O'Keefe, had a happy and fairly privileged childhood growing up in California where she works as an elementary school teacher. Her world gets turned upside down when she learns that her biological parents were a dissolute South African couple who have left her the bulk of their estate? Given the backstory on the bio parents, it's a pretty mind-boggling premise but since I enjoyed the story, I was happy to just roll with it.

When the book opens, we learn that Roisin has been in South Africa for a little while already, reconnecting with her long-lost brothers. She has very conflicted feelings about her inheritance and while her brothers know what is happening, her identity as the heir in this family saga is being kept under wraps at her request. Things get interesting when she meets her brothers' longtime friend, Muzi Miya-Matthews.

The chemistry between Ro and Muzi is intense and there's also a sweetness to their relationship that I enjoyed. I've read a fair number of Presents books and I enjoyed this one because the leads seemed like fairly normal people - who just happen to be insanely rich. Muzi has an uncertain position as a bit of the outsider in his adopted family's wine business and he's trying to secure his place. Ro has very conflicted feelings about her inheritance in South Africa, her recent breakup and her parents' pending divorce back home.

I'll admit that my knowledge of current South African politics and society is full of gaps, but it did seem like Ro and Muzi had a very rosy picture of race relations there. However, aside from that, I found their love story very entertaining reading.

CW: discussions of child abuse/neglect, divorce, cheating

Forbidden love! With the third book in her South Africa's Scandalous Billionaires series Joss Wood brings us the story of the secret Tempest-Vane heir in HOW TO TEMPT THE OFF-LIMITS BILLIONAIRE. The characters were quick to catch my eye and their chemistry was off the charts. I enjoyed getting to know their backstories and watching them begin to fall for each other. I've enjoyed this series a lot!

I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who enjoys a bit of a family saga that quickly showcases love and loyalty in a family of misfits who adore each other.

‘it should scare you. Love is terrifying but that’s no reason to run from it.’

‘Look, you can carry on being a coward or you can face that fear. Step into the unknown and trust that the way you feel for each other, that the love you have for each other, your desire not to mess up and hurt each other, is enough to carry you through.’

Mozi & Ro have my heart in their fictional grasps at the moment! This book is so good. Love that the heroine is the millionaire in this one, unexpectedly, a kindergarten teacher who one day woke up to her life completely different.

The romance between these two is intense! While Mozi & Ro are totally made for one another there is the thought that Ro isn’t going to be in Sou Africa for long and Mozi has been dealing with so much DRAMA it’s just this stifling heaviness. But in true Joss Wood fashion, she slowly and masterfully unravels everything. This story is about Fear. The fear of loving, the possibility of Hurt that comes with love but how love is also such a powerful weapon when it exists between two people.

Lovely conclusion to the siblings' stories. Great look into the South African Winelands!

I really wanted this book to have an epilogue to show us a bit of a future take of this family, but no epi, so a little disappointed.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading “How to Tempt the Off-Limits Billionaire.

Being a South-African it is so refreshing to read a love story reflecting the integrated society in which we live. The author paints the Western Cape landscape with a few brush strokes bringing it to life vividly. It is against this background that the characters delve into their feelings for one another.

The storyline is focussed on the developing love between the two main characters. Both of them are strong and independent and have their own money. But are they going to overcome their emotional wounds and circumstances to such an extent that they will make a good partner? For life? The focus throughout is on their personal quests and how they interact with each other to overcome them. This is not your run of the mill billionaire trope where "girl hates rich boy but fall for him anyway". It is much more.

After reading ‘How to Undo the Proud Billionaire’and “How to Win the Wild Billionaire’ by the same author, I looked forward to reading the story of Roisin and Muzi’s story. I was not disappointed.

I received an advance copy of this book from the author, in return for an honest review.

This is a companion book to ‘How to Undo the Proud Billionaire’ and “How to Win the Wild Billionaire’ by the same author. It is the story of Roisin (Ro) who suddenly finds herself a billionaire and 2 billionaire brothers (whose stories are in the above books) and Muzi (a billionaire winemaker). This book is probably best read third in the series, as it follows on from the other 2 books in terms of revealing who Ro is and further delving into the very dysfunctional family background that links the siblings together.

Like other books in this series, I found it an enjoyable read and absolutely loved the glimpses of South Africa that we got to see, but it didn’t grab me with its emotions or characters.

There is much going on in the book. The hero is coping with boardroom wrangles with a personal element; a damaged childhood and resultant ‘reluctant to love’ issues; the search for a long-time missing grape vine and ruptures within his family. The heroine is dealing with being in a new country and a whole new family; finding out the reason she was given up for adoption and the unpleasant truth about her birth family; discovering her fiancé cheated; suddenly becoming a billionaire; property renovating and divorcing parents. So, the book is fast paced and packed, but for me there wasn’t enough room for the central characters and the resolution of their reluctance to love just did not strike a chord with me. This is despite loving the way this author continues to push at diversity issues in here work. Inevitably, given the limitations of this imprint, all the side plots were resolved in a cursory manner. I do wonder if these books and characters would have flown more in a different longer form format.

In summary, there was a lot going on with external characters and a whole world of wealth to lose yourself in, if that’s your thing. It was an entertaining but somewhat superficial read for me.

I received an advance copy of this book from the author, in return for an honest review.

Joss Wood bring the heat and sizzle with her latest Harlequin Presents novel, How to Tempt the Off-Limits Billionaire.

Nobody is more surprised than Roisin O'Keefe when she discovers that she is an heiress who has just inherited a South African vineyard. Yet, the news of her sudden reversal in fortune is overshadowed by the heart-wrenching news that her birth parents had rejected her. Roisin wants to have nothing to do with her tainted legacy and thinks drop dead gorgeous billionaire Muzi Miya-Matthews will provide her with the answer to all of her prayers. Roisin reckons that selling her inheritance to Muzi will solve all of her problems - until she finds herself attracted to the devastatingly attractive billionaire.

Muzi was meant to keep his eye firmly on the business deal, but the more time he spends with Roisin, the more he finds himself unable to stop himself from thinking about her. Muzi is determined not to let this inconvenient attraction to Roisin get in the way of sealing the deal, but when temptation proves impossible to resist, forbidden attraction quickly gives way to long passionate nights where Roisin and Muzi find themselves unable to keep their hands off one another!

Is a future for Muzi and Roisin possible? Or will old ghosts and past hurts end up costing them a love that will last a lifetime?

Joss Wood's How to Tempt the Off-Limits Billionaire is a sexy, emotional and engrossing contemporary romance that sizzles with drama, intensity and sensuality. In How to Tempt the Off-Limits Billionaire, Joss Wood blends red-hot passion and heart-wrenching pathos in an irresistible romantic tale with a swoon-worthy hero and a nuanced and believable heroine.

A terrific romantic escape, Joss Wood's How to Tempt the Off-Limits Billionaire is sure to delight Harlequin Presents fans everywhere!

This is a great addition to the “South Africia’s Scandalous Billionaires Series” and the final book in the series.

Ro has inherited a fortune that she does not want anything to do with. She is all set to give away and sell everything. Ro never knew her parents because they put her for adoption for selfish reasons.

Alpha super sexy hot billionaire Muzi Miya-Matthew is best friends with Ro’s brothers Radd and Digby. Muzi has his own set of problems and is in need of the vineyard that Ro has inherited. Ro is off limits to Muzi because he doesn’t want to lose his friendship and of course brotherhood code sisters are off limits.

The chemistry between Muzi and Ro is hot, sizzling and forbidden. Muzi has asked Ro to sell him the vineyard because he needs it to maintain his position and fortune in a family that he was adopted into.

Will Ro sell Muzi the vineyard and be able to get the vineyard back to producing, will Radd and Digby accept that Muzi is the best man for their sister, will Muzi and Ro have an HEA? Interesting, pick up your copy today; you will not want to miss the conclusion to the “South Africia’s Scandalous Billionaires Series”. I know you will enjoy this final book in the series just as much as I.

Wood’s third book in her South Africa’s Scandalous Billionaires series stars the previously unknown heir to the Tempest-Vane fortune, daughter Roisin, and the dreamy wine billionaire Mizu Miya-Matthews. It’s a brilliant return to the South African setting and the fallout of the very, very scandalous relationship of the Tempest-Vane parents and their awful life choices. We get to visit with Roisin’s brothers Radd and Digby a bit, but Roisin’s romance with Mizu takes her away from the Tempest-Vane resorts and to the vineyard she’s inherited so unexpectedly, which gives a new part of South Africa for readers to learn about and enjoy, and freedom for Roisin and Mizu’s relationship to develop without brotherly interference. Their attraction is clear, and their developing feelings are as well. I did find the beginning of the book a bit slow, as all the conflicts were carefully laid out, but the romance took off soon enough, and became very enjoyable. I might have liked a little more emotional punch to the romance in places, but Wood’s description of the South African setting and, more specifically, the homes and cars and people, really brought the story to vibrant, stunning life – and totally lived up to the sense of wealth and prestige that one looks for in Presents novels.

This is book three in The South Africa's Scandalous Billionaires Series and it is Roisin and Muzi's story and it is a must read. What do you do when you discover that you are a heiress and your life has been a complete lie, that is what happened to Roisin and she was determined to sell her tainted legacy not expecting to have a instant attraction to the man who she wants to buy the vineyard. Muzi tries to keep his attraction to his best friend's sister Roisin under wraps and concentrate on just the business deal but the more time he spends with her the more he wants her but what will happen next only time will tell. I absolutely loved this book and the connection and chemistry between them was so strong especially as they had the same type of background history and I found myself cheering them along hoping that they could both over come there fears and have a chance of a life together and a happy ending. Joss Wood is an amazing author and writer and she certainly knows how to keep her reader's attention and I definitely recommend you read this book and others by her and you will definitely not be disappointed.

How to Tempt the Off-Limits Billionaire is the thrilling third and final instalment of South Africa's Scandalous Billionaires.

So hard to summarise this passionate story which immersed me in culture, love and family heritage. Layers upon layers of peeled open to reach the heart of Ro and Muzi's attraction and passion. Complications of family dynamics added to the point of views and emotions. Rule number one, don't go near your best friend's sister right? Ro and Muzi really belong together and I enjoyed their story amongst the wine-growing backdrop. I was intrigued and engaged.

Reacquainting myself with Digby and Radd was great and I loved Digby's speech to Muzin towards the end. Choose Your Hard. And oh, my heart, when Muzi said to Ro "You. I want you." and "You drop me to my knees...".

Can be read as a stand-alone but I highly recommend books 1 and 2 to receive the full impact. I have really enjoyed visiting South Africa via Joss Woods. I also celebrate Joss Wood's style of writing. The themes are the same found in Presents but the landscape delightfully different. Top level refreshing exotic escapism.

Muzi and Ro

I liked the slow pace of this book with secrets within secrets. Ro has her own emotional journey after learning the true reason for her adoption and the sadness that comes with this discovery. Muzi has his own emotional journey from his childhood and earlier adulthood scars, and his fears with having a relationship. Loose ends from the past for Muzi and Ro come up every now and then, which make the book more interesting. Will Ro allow herself to fall in love again after past betrayal? Will Muzi trust another woman after his past scars? In the middle of this, the re-building of bonds, and discovering what it means to be a family are core to this beautiful romance. Now that Ro has found new family, I hope these fantastic secondary characters find their way into other books in the series. The book overall is well-written with good pacing, and laughter. The steam between Muzi and Ro is off the charts in a sweet, sensual way. I enjoyed it.

I fell for the unique setting above all! It's not every day you read a story set in South Africa. I loved the scenery, the vineyards, and the different lifestyles the character had. I couldn't help but feel for Ro from the start. Imagine inheriting money from birth-parents you never knew, and realizing they were awful. I appreciated her journey to figure out who she was now with enough money to never work again, two brothers she never knew about, and a cheating fiancee she kicked to the curb. She's at a tumultuous time in her life and the last thing she saw coming was Muzi. The handsome, well-spoken, best friend of her brothers threw her into a case of insta-lust.

That she could deal with. It's the humor, caring, and intelligence that lets her know she's in trouble. There were moments I was frustrated with some of Ro's decisions. She clung to ideals and allowed them to cloud her own path. But in the end, she learned some hard lessons and truly experienced personal growth.

When Roisin receives the news that she has inherited a vineyard from her natural parents all it does is bring up the insecurities of why they put her up for adoption. She wants nothing to do with them or their legacy, but she never contemplated the complications that arranging for her brother’s best friend Muzi to purchase it would bring.

Muzi never expected that the biggest pitfall when it came to purchasing the vineyard from Roisin would be the attraction between them. He doesn’t want to jeopardize his friendship with her brothers but Roisin is proving to be a temptation that he can’t resist.

Although their reasons are very different both Roisin and Muzi are cautious about crossing the line between friends to lovers as they take us on an emotional and steamy journey but once the do the risk is well worth the reward.

Roison has inherited wealth but it makes her aware that her family gave her up and she does not want it because it makes her feel unwanted by those who capriciously gave her away. Offering it to Muzi is a solution to her and since he wants the land . Neither expects the attraction that comes with this situation. Muzi is trying to live into the bro code and not mess with Ro as he is friends with her brothers. But chemistry and connection can override good intentions. I liked learning about them and watching them fall for one another. I thought it was cool that something she wanted to dispose of lead to love of a different kind.

Interesting and Easy Read

So and Midi know right from the beginning that they are attracted to each other. There's none of the refusal to admit it or the professed hate but still attraction stuff that seems to dominate in these stories. They are attracted but both have very good reasons for not wanting something permanent. The storyline outside of the love story is equally as intriguing and I can't think of a better romance I've read in a very long time. I completely enjoyed this book and I believe anyone interested in the genre also will.

Exploring a new culture

This book is definitely escapist romance fiction.

This was my chance to visit a new country and a very different culture, that of wealthy South African vinyards and wine making. It was a nice "vacation" for my anniversary week. I really liked the idea of turning the old manor house into a boutique hotel. Maybe there is another book hiding right there.

Ro leases the vineyard to him and the plans for the house change upon advice given to Ro. There is some family unpleasantness for both of them. Both are a bit scared to love but with help from her adoptive parents and his friends, they take the chance to be happy together.

This is the third book in the South Africa's Scandalous Billionaires series by Joss Wood and it features Roisin and Muzi. She is the secret heir to a fortune and he is a millionaire and best friend to her brothers. I did not really understand why he was considered off-limits. There are also a number of quite unbelievable coincidences and villains but it is a quick positive read with a HEA.

I have read all the books in the series and was interested in reading this one. The characters had basic chemistry with a little heat. What threw me the most was the way the heroine talked in some passage which did not sound like someone who was born in America would talk. In the end what I found was that this is a typical Harlequin romance with a twist of South Africa culture.

This is the 5th book I've read written by Joss Wood; I can’t wait to read more of her books.

This is the 3rd book in the South Africa’s Scandalous Billionaires Series; it is a stand-alone book. The story is about Roisin & Muzi; she just find out that she is an heiress and has inherited the African vineyard. She hires her best friend’s brother Muzi to help her.

This book was just as Great as the first two in the Series. Muzi and Ro were perfect together. She was like the forbidden first he couldn't have, and Ro is using her pain and rejection to get what she wants. I really enjoyed this whole Series. I especially enjoyed the fact that it took place in South Africa. Would love to visit one day.

This "South Africa's Scandalous Billionaires" is a best friend's sister forbidden romance. This is the third story in the series. It can be read as a stand alone read but does have connected characters from the previous two stories. This is Roisin and Muzi's story. It is nicely developed and worth the read. The chemistry between the characters is off the charts. They are wonderful together.
