Her spacious backyard is the perfect place to grill sausages and check out Chikuwa’s pup tent. But where’s Rin in all this? Seems she’s busy planning something...like a road trip for two?!

Ah, another volume of my favorite go-to cozy manga. Camping in real life holds no appeal to me but the fictional camping adventures of these Japanese high schoolers bring me joy and comfort.

Just another volume full of gentle slice of life chapters of friends, outdoor adventures, and cooking. I’m looking forward to volume 11.

超寫實人臉來表現顏藝也挺有創意的
但露營的網點用電子紙來看整個讓人強迫症發作

Some of the OEC members do day camping at Ena's house to try out their homemade alcohol stoves and cook sausage (and to see Ena's cute doggy camping supplies for Chiku). Then Rin, Aya, and Nadeshinko head out to meet at Ooi river to camp together. Rin and Aya meet up on their scooters and hit as many suspension bridges as possible together, while Nadeshinko takes the train. There's a special episode of trying out a Rin trying out a three wheeler scooter and going to a sauna, and then the shorts at the back.

The Ooi River camping trip story is to be continued in Vol. 11 and now I have to wait for that one to arrive! Rin and Aya's visits to the suspension bridges give readers a nice virtual tour of the area. The day camp at Ena's house is cute and funny as the girls face a cooking fail. I've realized I love reading these at night before bed because there's never any drama (or the max would be running out of firewood or something like that). They're just a relaxing read and mix in light humor and beautiful scenery of various place in Japan.

Notes on content: No language issues. No sex scenes (there's one scene at a hot spring that's a little busty but she's mostly covered by water, all the sauna scenes are in a towel). No violence.

Cooking handicrafts and tips on proper food prep. Also, a cute doggy. Then we're off on a small group/solo camping trip with Rin, Nadeshiko, and Ayano (Nadeshiko's friend) full of good looking food and suspension bridges.

At this point, this series feels like a sightseeing guide and I wanna go see every single one in person. Just take a whole month off work and visit Japan, top to bottom or whatever. There's also a special chapter that is a legit advertisement for the three wheeler scooter Tricity. Thank you publishers for adding the extra content to the volumes (I hate feeling like I missed out on stuff) much appreciated!

This volume was another fun installment to the series. I'm always happy to read about camping and learn a little more about gear each time. Also, every time they discuss hot springs I get the biggest urge to go visit one myself, haha.

They make alcohol stoves and homemade sausages in this volume. Also, they discuss tent poles and other expensive gear. I really wanna try making a alcohol stove... makes me wish I too was a part of a camping club.

Really enjoy this one, camping with Rin, Nadeshiko and Aya, suspension bridge tour, it's fun, it's relaxing and it's like I was there enjoying the view, yup loveee the illustration and love that bonus story, I wished they make that bonus story of Rin camping with three wheeler, love finding some differences between the manga and the anime, I love it.
Overall it's another relaxing outdoorsy camping read.

The book continues to stay true to its roots and to its theme. I might have neglected to state in previous reviews that baths seem to be a steady theme in these books as well. Art and story are straight up chill...and the book will get you relaxing after a strenuous day. I will say, they tempt you to camp...but I don't think it can be as relaxing to the average person as these books make you feel. Still, it is a great public service announcement to get us all outside enjoys the great outdoors.

More camping fun with the OEC girls

Deeply amusing, lovingly drawn and faithfully depicting the beauty of Japan’s countryside, this series continues to engage, inform and entertain. If you are trying to jump in here please don’t - Volume 1 is just as good and, of course, much more useful as a starting point.

This hasn't been published in English yet, so I read it in Japanese (my 2nd language). I'd say I understood about 50-60% and enjoyed it very much. Looking forward to reading it again in English and catching all the jokes I missed 😆

Feels a bit uninspired. Hoping for better in the next volume. I own the next two but if it doesn't pick up after reading those, I may end up considering it to have run its course. Still fun but not as refreshing as the early volumes.

As someone afraid of suspension bridges, the tour of suspension bridge country in this volume was *terrifying*. I absolutely loved all the cute moments with Chikuwa and backyard camping, though!
