Behind every woman scorned is probably a person who made her that way. For me, it was more than one.

It was an entire pack.

I was exiled for exposing a murderous traitor. I was rejected by my mate, our bond shattered forever.

Even after being chosen by our goddess, my powers and title will never be enough for them to stand by me.

Now plagued by frequent and debilitating visions of battle and death, my mates and I must fight to assemble an army with no one but our goddess at our back.

Because war is coming, and not everyone will survive.

But I was chosen for a reason. I will lead an army if I must. I will stand in the gap and protect my people and their future, no matter what they’ve done. I will fulfill my prophecy.

Even if it means my death.

🎧 - audiobook

I think I’m giving up on this series after this book. Kira gets 4 new mates in this book, bringing the total to 7, which is entirely too many for how short this book is. There wasn’t enough time to flesh out their personalities, let alone their individual relationships with Kira. I think it would’ve been much better if the author stuck with the original 3 (MAYBE added 1 more) and then focused on developing those relationships. Instead, we had 7 mates and barely any time to get to know them.

I do like that Morgan was introduced in this book and that it gave Kira a relationship outside of her mates. I liked seeing Kira’s nurturing side. The spice was also pretty good. But other than that, I can’t really give very many positives.

I think there was too much going on for how short this book is. It either needed an extra 200 pages, or to have some plot points (specifically the new mates) cut out. Probably not going to finish this series.

Outlaw is book two in The Pack Prophecy series by R.L. Caulder.

Picking up immediately after the cliffhanger in Outcast, the stakes are higher than ever: Rejected, exiled, and determined, Kira and her two mates are racing toward the Shifter Summit to avert a prophesied massacre. However, a traitor in their midst threatens everything.

While I enjoyed the fast-paced plot and the expansion of Kira’s inner circle—specifically her friendship with Sofia and her bond with Morgan—I struggled with the world-building logic regarding the mate bonds. If consummation is the key to stability, Kira’s connection with Jameson should have secured her powers, despite his continued rejection. Furthermore, the "mate count" is becoming overwhelming. While a triad or a few mates can be handled well, expanding to seven total feels excessive and takes away from the individual connections. This installment trades the "sexy times" of the first book for a heavy focus on the final confrontation with the Alpha who cast her out.

Despite my questions about the bond mechanics, Outlaw was a solid enough read that I'm committed to finishing the final novel to see how it all ends.

This was a fun "why choose" sequel where Kira discovers even more mates. The plot was interesting, and it ended on a cliffhanger that made me want to knows what's happening next!

Outlaw is the second book in The Pack Prophecy series. It picks up right where we left off in Outcast: Kira and two of her mates being outlawed from the pack, a third mate has severed their bond, and a world-ending prophecy hanging over their heads- with Kira being the savior. So to state the obvious, Kira has a lot on her plate especially as she is learning how to be a wolf, managing her new powers, and tracking down her mates. So when the dark visions start to become more frequent and intense the pack that she is slowly forming really comes to her aid. Can Kira figure out what her destiny is and save the shifter world in time?

So Kira is a fantastic MC. She is independent and strong and will not back down when the going gets tough. There is a great sass and fight to her that really makes her a positive character to root for. I also have to say that her original mates are excellent- they really do know how to look after her and support her through this quest and they really do shine. That said we do have to mention the newbies in this series, four very hunky men get added into Kira’s harem of mates and the interactions and reactions within the group are fantastic! The introduction to the new crew is a positive one and there is very little drama that arises from it. There is that question in the beginning "will they, won't they gel" but they very much do and there is a quick acceptance of them in this new pack. Each of the mates are well-rounded, and everyone has their own distinct personality in the group. We also get to meet a firecracker of a girl by the name of Morgan. She may only be 15 but she has proved that she is more mature and stronger than your average teen. She really adds to this story and is a great addition to the pack.

An excellent continuance in the series and the ending will have you wanting more. (I ended it with a gasp and held my breath praying that I wasn't done!) A great book for all fans of shifters, PNR, RH!

Book two and we are back where book one left us. Our characters Kira, Milo and Seth have been outlawed from their pack though one of their mates Jameson has broken their bond and stayed behind. Kira is really developing and growing stronger and stronger and the relationships are coming along with the others as their incredible journey continues. Well written this is full of action, adventure, drama, heartache, heartbreak, strength, and redemption and be warned once you pick this up you will not want to put it down!

Guuuuys!!! Did it just seriously end like that?!?!?!? This story immediately picks up right after the first book. I don't want to spoil anything but expect more action, mates, huge character development and fantastic world building. I can't wait to read the epic conclusion. And Lux, OMG, legit my favorite. Kira's wolf is my absolute favorite. Makes me wish I had my own wolf as sassy as her! Loved it!!

I received an ARC and voluntarily gave my honest opinion and review

HFS. HFS…. what?! i’m trying to formulate a review to explain how great this book was but all i can focus on is the cliffhanger that Rachel threw at us. imagine you’re sitting there reading g a book, and all of a sudden a freaking cannon ball is shot at you. you’re hit and thrown back into a wall that breaks and splinters. thats how i feel right now. dramatic? oh well. those who read this book will know that THIS CLIFFHANGER will leave you holding onto the cliff with one hand praying you don’t fall.

Outlaw is book 2 in the pack prophecy series and by far this is my favorite book by Rachel to date. Kira is such a strong h and really grabbing her destiny by the horns. I live all the characters we meet in this one (and there’s quite a few 😏). It still has a strong mythology root and also throws in additional elements like demons and hell.

this series so far has been amazing and i honestly have no idea wtf is going to happen in book 3 but you bet i’ll be reading it and ordering this series in paperback (because i absolutely need it).

Wow i dont know where to start with my review of this book? So much happened in it it was hard to keep up with it. Kira (FMC) is still trying to find her place in this world and what its meant to her as The Prophetess. As well as contending with more additions to her list of men, her old Alpha and a young wolf - Morgan (who i loved). The action just kept on coming throughout this book and that ending completely floored me!!! Im still picking my jaw up off of the floor now. Im going to be on tenterhooks until the next book. This series just keeps getting better and better. Im loving it so much

I don’t know I just didn’t vibe with this book.

I feel like there was no substance to it. Kira is the chosen one and has these crazy powers that she knows how to wield right away, but there’s no learning curve or set backs that usually comes with receiving these abilities.

The characters didn’t really seem to have defining personalities to me. I had trouble remembering who was who.

Outlaw is the second book R.L.Caulder’s The Pack Prophecy series. This book picks up where book one with Kira and her two mates are on the run after Jameson chose to stay with his father and the creature/woman who wears the appearance of his long-dead mother. More mates are out there waiting on Kira to find them, but they are all in danger as Jace looks to bring death and destruction everywhere he sets foot.
Outlaw is a fast-paced story that hooked me from the beginning and kept me page-turning throughout. I’m loving the uniqueness of the characters that the author is bringing into this storyline. I like and appreciate that not all of her mates are solely from the United States but are coming from other countries as well. I also really like that this book doesn’t just keep Kira with a bunch of men surrounding her. The fact that another female is introduced into the group is honestly quite refreshing in comparison to other storylines that follow this same troupe. There are some major twists in this book and they really help keep things interesting as well explaining why certain characters chose to take a certain path.
My only gripe about this book...Milo. Can he please grow up? I don’t care for his immaturity. The minute he learns that Kira has a vision about another mate he’s sitting around wanting to basically sulk. Apparently, he doesn’t mind sharing with Seth (since Jameson is currently out of the picture), but he wants them to be enough. But that’s not the case. For me, he’s so childish and it’s irritating. He should want what's best for Kira regardless of however many mates she is gifted. He apparently has no problems being a “grown-up” when it comes to the bedroom and sex, but when it comes to new mates he wants to run away to pout. Now, the author does have him chill out every now and again, but he’s a hothead with an arrogant streak and I’ll be looking forward to someone other than Kira putting him in check.
I’m rating this book 4.5 out of 5 stars. I’m loving the variety of different characters in this book and the pace is great. The twists are engaging and kept me coming back for more. I’m hopeful that book three will be coming soon because I’m on edge to find out what happens next. I’m honestly hopeful that Milo will get a grip on himself and stop being an immature brat.

I have been patiently waiting for the second book in the pack prophecy series and now that I've read Outlaw, it was well worth the wait. The story had hot guys, relationship drama, shifter issues, was load with surprises, and had an unpredictable plot, I loved every second of it. There were so many surprises and a heck of a plot twist. I didn't have a hint of where the story would be, about the characters involved, or how it was gonna end, and that made for a more exciting story. So this is gonna be a short review to avoid spoilers.

Kira has really transformed in this book, she is stronger, more confident in her role as a prophetess and her connection with Lux is stronger than ever. Kira is a natural-born leader, an alpha and she has taken her role, the role the goddess Selene gave her quite seriously. I loved seeing Kira becoming comfortable with who she is and learning to accept the love of her mates and taking the lead not only with the coming war but with her relationships as well.

As for Kira's mates, who knew that Seth was gonna be Kira's emotional rock, to hold her steady through things and support her with a mature understanding. All the flirting between the two is adorable and the connection they are forming is growing stronger. Meanwhile, Milo completely loses his shit, not handling new situations very well at all. Milo needs reassurances but things between him and Kira are still good whereas things with Jameson are still complicated but maybe there's hope, only time will tell.

The best thing about this book is the plot. I did not see where the story was headed, not even a hint to where we would end up, and when we did get there my jaw dropped. The surprising plot twist of this story was totally shocking, I mean who could have seen the story going the way it did, and now that it's there I want more. I have questions and I want more, detailed information because what the actual... Besides that, some really great characters, that I have already given my heart to, have been introduced to the story. I loved all the new ones they each have proven their loyalty and respect to Kira and I love that she is gaining people in her life that she can lean on.

Dude the story is wild, the shifter council, unexpected background history, and an enemy that the shifters didn't even know exists, it was amazeballs. Outlaw was the best, I was completely riveted to the storyline as more about the prophecy is known and pieces of the past are recovered. Everything is starting to connect and make sense while other things make no sense at all. I am so connected to the characters, so invested in their happiness and I have to say that the ending kinda broke me. Caulder wrote an ending to destroy a reader like me and while I have a clue as to what might happen in the end I have a wait ahead of me before I find out if I'm right which means I basically gonna obsess over the ending until I'm able to read the third book, Oracle in my greedy little hands. I know it's gonna be worth the torture.

Outlaw by RL Caulder

•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••⁣
Summary:
⁣After being shunned by their pack, Kira, Seth, and Milo leave the pack lands with no clear plan in place. Then, Kira has a vision and it takes them to the Summit.

Thoughts:
This is a very quick read that was jam-packed with plot points. I truly didn’t ever know what was going to happen next. I think this series could have benefitted from some more critical editing OR from being a longer series. All of the plot points make sense in the story, it’s honestly just that I feel as though I have whiplash because by the end of book 2 it’s been only about 5 days since the start of the series and about 382837282 things have happened. I am all for suspending reality in a book, but this was a stretch for me. Was it a fun read? Yes. Will I finish the trilogy? Yes. Will I read this series again? No. While I absolutely appreciate Caulder’s creativity and ability to write, I just don’t think this series was written for the reader I am these day, and that’s okay!

I thoroughly enjoyed Outlaw! Kira is such a fantastic heroine and I love how with each book in this series we see her come more into her own and grow more confident. And I have enjoyed getting to know each of her mates and how they bring something new and different to the table to help her in her journey. Please note: Outlaw is Book 2 in this series and there is a slight cliffhanger at the end. If you love fantasy, shifters, fated mates, enemies to lovers, friends to lovers, second chances, insta-love, feisty heroines, why choose, or lots of steam, this one will satisfy all your wants! 4 Stars!

So much more going on!

Okay, so I’m going to need my own healing pool because of R.L., especially after that ending. So much happened in this book that it was hard to keep up. The book starts when book one left off. Kira, Milo, and Seth are exiled from the pack and Jameson rejects his and Kira’s mate bond. A lot happens while Kira and her mates are on the run. Kira grows so much in this book. Even though she has moments of doubt because of Jamerson she takes on the role of the Prophetess naturally. Kira has a vision telling her she needs to go to the Summit. Along the way, she meets Morgan another shifter who is looking for her Pop. She helps Kira, Milo, and Seth find their way there. We also meet some other characters and find out Kira has some more mates to add to her rooster (lucky girl). After years of being shunned and looked down upon, it was refreshing to see these guys’ love and admiration for her. I honestly can’t pick a favorite out of them because they are all amazing. Kira and her wolf Lux were a great part also. Their connection is written so well and I’m glad it’s something special to her and not the others. It just shows how important Kira truly is. One of my favorite parts was Kira and Morgan’s friendship. I loved how close they became and how they relate to each other. There is a lot of action and story development. We learn some new things that could change things entirely. I can’t wait until the next book and hope R.L. has the heart to not rip me into pieces again.

This was a good read! I really enjoyed it from start to finish and was thoroughly entertained throughout!

Kira has always been the bottom of the food chain in her pack and she is treated as such. Now betrayed by her entire pack and rejected by her mate she must fight to assemble an army and fulfill her prophecy!

Kira is strong willed and I adored her character.
Seth, Milo, and Jameson are great opposites to Kira. This story kept me thoroughly entertained and I couldn’t put it down!
Book 3 is going to be awesome. Definitely recommend and can’t wait for more!

We start right off where book one left us and I could not get enough! You get to see more development between Kira and her mates but we also get a bit of a twist. Everything is definitely not as it seems and there is some more behind the scenes happening. The world building is incredible and it is a fight against the Diamona. My heart broke for Jameson in this book and it is definitely a different feeling from how book 1 left me.

I cannot wait to see what is going to happen in the next book and we are definitely left with more killer information and just holding onto the edge of our seats. There is plenty of sexy time and scenes that leave you hot and bothered. At the same time there are other intense moments that you are waiting with bated breath to find out what happens next. If you loved the first book, the second book is absolutely incredible and worth the ride!

My favourite book by Rachel so far.

I don’t always love multiple POVs, but Rach has a way of making each of her characters so entertaining that I find myself looking forward to the different perspectives.
I mean, we meet 5 new characters in quick succession and somehow they are so wonderfully characterised it cemented their place in the story within a few chapters. I love RH, but sometimes the characters are too similar in some ways and it’s difficult to remember all the individual personalities. The introductions of Kira’s mates was pretty flawless. You could pick them apart just by how they talk and act. And idk, but I feel like that’s a huge success on its own? It’s one of my favourite things about her books.

Book 2 focused a lot on getting from A to B, and mapping out the grand reveal of their true purpose. But the introduction of all these new characters bring their own stories, their own sparkle to the book. Another classic Rach move is to have some sort of urgent task/quest play out in the middle book that is crucial in revealing the peak of the plot for the next one. You think you know what they’re up against already? Think again. No middle book syndrome here.

Kira from book 1 and Kira in book 2 basically only share the same name. They are not the same, in literally any way. Book 2 Kira doesn’t accept limitations on her life anymore, she will not settle. She has always been kind and forgiving, but now she has set boundaries for herself and her mates, and she refuses to submit to anyone ever again (you know, unless it’s to smoosh booties). She has doubts and insecurities, but time and time again, she gives herself the chance to rise above it. Already, she has stepped into the role of sister, mate, protector, and leader. Why not add Oracle to the list?

This book is everything!!! I mean Rachel deserves a medal and an Oscar or the writing equivalent.

I didn't think it would possible to love Kira anymore than I already did but she is the FMC that keeps growing and giving. She is literally the embodiment of light, her soul is pure and her depth of empathy knows no bounds.

I loved being pulled back into this world as its horizons continue to grow for Kira as she travels to new places after being outlawed from the pack. She embraces change and new challenges like she's done it all her life. That strength of character is what sees her through some of the most challenging times she's had to face so far and she did it like a warrior queen!

The way relationships are delved into in this book brought a deeper emotional depth and connection than Outcast. I loved how the bonds strengthen between Kira, Milo and Seth, even if they had to face their own challenges. The growth of the bond between Milo and Seth was just perfect and really showed what they will do for their mate and pack members. The bonds of family, friendship, pack and love were tested in the most delicious ways and I hope beyond all hope we get to see them develop further. The beginning of a redemption arc is touched on throughout and I actually hope it comes to fruition.

There is a lot of tension building from the beginning and throughout with new enemies coming into play. With these new developments their understanding grows of the darkness that lays ahead. The closing chapters go out with a band and leave you on an emotional cliff hanger, that makes you want to smash your phone!!

This book was everything that was needed from Kira and her guys and more... but goddess knows what will happen next.

ONE WILD RIDE!

This is my absolute favorite book from the author, and what does she do with a gift like that? She tries to kill me with the mother of all cliffhangers!

My fingers are still bleeding from being left on the edge! How dare you!

Kira is an amazing heroine. Strong, accepting, but has a lot of hurt she needs to recover from. Especially because she and her guys are on the run, and racing to save more of their kind. Good things her mates are the perfect match to help her along the way.

I LOVE her mates. Each of the guys has a distinct personality and they each add something different. This group is special, you can see they properly complete eacreh other.

The thing I most love about this book is the messages along the way. Yes it's a fated mates book. Yes it's fantasy. Yet time and time again I was highlighting passages, because for a fantasy world, there are countless real life uplifting messages throughout this story. And I can't wait to find more in the next book.

Outlaw is book 2 in The Pack Prophecy series by R.L. Caulder and it picks up right where Outcast (book 1) left off. Outlaw took a completely different turn than I was expecting but I 👏am👏here👏for👏it!! From adding 4 more mates, an amazing redemption arc, and a bada** heroine that you can’t help but love; I really can’t say enough good things about this series! I don’t always like when authors add in additional guys to the existing harem, but Rachel did it in a way that was perfectly seamless and actually made sense for the story.

This entire series really has a totally unique story and I am loving reading the multiple POVs. As per the usual, Rachel leaves us on a killer cliffhanger that had me gasping and then ranting about it to my husband for the next 3 days🤣🤣 I need book 3 like yesterday! Seriously if you love paranormal romance this series is an absolute must read!!

Honestly I didn’t think I could love Kira and her guys anymore but yes I do!!! I would say Kira is one of my most all-time favorite FMC I have ever read. I didn’t realize how much I missed this world and all the characters until I dove into Outlaw. Kira is so strong, loving and caring and she really just rolls with the punches. She embraces this unfortunate change with grace and keeps it pushing like a true queen. Milo and Seth **swoon** I love these two so much and their love for not only their pack as a whole but for Kira is unmatched and beautiful. We get to see their relationship grow together as one and each individually which I though was great. Be prepared for an emotional roller coaster, strap in because you are in for one heck of a ride with plenty of ups and downs. Moments that will have you swooning maybe shedding some tears and definitely wanting to throw you kindle at the wall. I was captured from the beginning to the end and let me tell you that ending left me heart beating fast and gave me one heck of a book hangover. I need answers like yesterday!!! If you love shifters and you love an epic story then you should start this series asap. Fantastic and I will impatiently be waiting to find out what happens next!!!
