I read this book in English. Gajanan Bhaskar Mehendale is known name when it comes to Maratha empire history. He is the scholar. He has devoted his entire life to the study of Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, his life and times. This book debunks the myths peddled by so called ‘historians’. Don’t miss it. Now I am eagerly waiting for his next book. Gajanan other books Shivaji His Life & Times and Tipu as He Really Was deserves a read. Highly recommended.

पुस्तकाचे दोन भाग आहेत. पहिला भाग जो जवळपास 80 टक्के व्यापला आहे त्यात भारतीयांवर इस्लामी सत्तेने केलेल्या अत्याचाराचे वर्णन केले आहे आणि उरलेल्या 20 टक्के भागात शिवाजी महाराजांचे राजकीय धोरण सांगितले आहे.
एकंदरीत छत्रपती शिवाजी महाराज नसले असते तर भारतातील बहुसंख्य जनता मुस्लिम असली असती आणि पाकिस्तान हा भारतापेक्षा भूभागाने मोठा असला असता.
