It was supposed to be simple. Endure this trial and stay alive until I lose, but fate has other ideas.
I’ve got a target on my back in more ways than one. If my mates aren’t trying to get me executed, they’re sneaking me into corners for illicit trysts.
I will resist. Resist their wandering hands and their hot kisses and the sweet nothings they whisper in my ears.
I will not let the other contestants stick a knife in my back.
I will survive. I will prevail.
That’s if my fated mates don’t get to me first.
Fae Games is book two of the Royal Fae Academy trilogy, a reverse harem paranormal academy bully romance with dark themes, sexual situations, and violence.
This series keeps you on your toes and on the edge of your seat!
In the first book I overlooked the weird descriptions they used where intimacy was involved, but in this book it was just downright annoying. 'Helmet', 'sword'..like really?? I had enough with that. I hope the third book lets that die down.
Unity goes through so much and fights so hard. She does this to get a chance to live and save her sister. Then a hag goes and tells her what she never considered a possibility when she saw the dark faeries take her sister. Then she learns of what Helen is going through and add to that list betrayal, as well. But is it really betrayal or something more? Unity doesn't seem to get a break. And it appears someone high up might have been the one to show the Fated how to get Helen's magic taken to make themselves mates to the princes'. Guess that one will be revealed soon. Unity is still making some dumb decisions, but at this point it's just who she is. The story is so interesting that I can overlook her mistakes, even if they are annoying sometimes.
The second book in Unity's story and it's even better. After the first book I had been so excited to get this one and it did not disappoint. I adore Unity and the fact that shes willing to do whatever it takes to save her friend and not back down from everyone. After the ending though now I am desperately waiting for the next one to see how she goes with everything.
OMG! Such a great continuation to a fantastic series! I can’t wait to start book three! I was on the edge of my seat at the end of this book and I am just dying to dive into the last book!!
Again, this book (just like the first) has little to no substance. The sex scenes are about as embarrassing and tasteless as Anthony Weiner sending photos of his wanker. The main characters go from extreme disdain (erring on to homicide) to agreeing to a 3-some with their brother in the middle of a store... WTF? No, just no.
This really is a bully romance, but just who is the bully and who is spelled is up for debate. Things are moving quickly and the human who isn’t a human is struggling just to survive. Intense.
The book walks the line between good and bad. It has a lot of ideas to execute, and it executes them very poorly. For example, why is this set in a school? We have had barely three scenes of school life thus far. It's almost like the author set the plot there because she knows this is a key selling point in this genre among this kind of audience. But she makes little effort to justify this decision or to develop it.
I'm almost tempted to put the book down, but the world building in this book is so good it makes me want to see where the story goes and how it ends. I don't expect a satisfying ending, but simple curiosity to see where an author who writes like this will go to end her book makes me want to keep reading. On the whole, the characters are odious creations I would never want to get to know in real life.
I will be reading the third book, but I will simply leave a warning to people here. If you're expecting a school-adventure story with a brave female lead, this is not your book.
The story is still catchy enough to want to read further but I wasn't really a fan of this one. There is alot of deception and betrayal and its hard to tell who is on her side and who isnt. Most of them seem to be obsessed with her just because she is a more sexual being, not because they actually like her. Their "relationships" seem superficial. The only one she seems to have a real connection with seems to be pokeweed. I also am not a fan of the fact that everything seems to come back to sexual acts. Now I am a huge fan of steamy books but the way most of the situations happen it just seems random and inappropriate. I gave 3 stars because I do still find the book entertaining to read and II still want to know what happens , especially because I was the bad guys to get what's coming to them.
Wow! This second book had us on edge from book one. We find out some answers to our questions and the mystery of what is happening to unity amp up. We discover who we can trust and who we can't. I loved the princes and how we get to see more of them and who they could be with unity as a mate. I literally blew through reading this and instantly went for book three. The cliffhanger was massive and I absolutely loved it. Sofia Daniel has a beautiful way of expressing the characters and plot so that they compliment each other. The romance was hot and I definitely have my hopes set for a HEA at the end of the series.
No rest for the wicked so they say one thing after another happened to her. Fairy's go into heat once every 4 years can you imagine. LOL no wonder they think that she is wanton the women only get in the mood once every 4 years. The first trial is the one of the blow jobs and guess who wins yup our MC. This is a young woman who is not a virgin likes sex and know how to use it to her advantage. The book is ok nothing great but entertaining. She is not weak which I like can't stand the ones that cry all the time but she is not my favorite either.

This series just keeps getting better! Finally Unity has captured 3 of the princes hearts. Just maybe there is another mate in Pokeweed? I can hope he such a sweet guy and he’s always there for Unity when she needs him! The ending was wow! What betrayal! My heart broke for Unity and I can’t wait for her revenge!!! And to find out her curse not only made her sister vanish from existence but also saved her from the hell she would of put her through wow. Heaetbreaking. I have no words for how the author described this scene. It was an amazing moment. Fantastic job!!!
Nothing happened in this one which is often the case with second books. So like obviously they’re being spelled right now and that’s why all that has happened has happened … I wish I could say I cared about her connection with any of the guys but like I do not. I just wanna know what the dark prince’s destiny was that she was cursed to this. So third book it is.
Everything is happening so fast that I can’t keep up. Unity barely knows the Princes, but one by one, they want her just because she can spread her legs more often than the other fairies?
The way this story is written makes it sound like Unity’s only good quality is her ability to spread her legs. She doesn’t care who she hurts in the process, doesn’t care what she has to do, she just wants to be filled. That’s literally the plot of the book apparently.
I loved the world building! Very descriptive without getting boring. I didn’t feel like the main characters had much dimension and Unity was way too forgiving. Maybe forgiving is the wrong word as she suddenly acted like there was no history between them and was just thrown into these sex-crazed hazes. I’m all for the spice but reading about women who have no respect for themselves isn’t my thing. Apparently no apology was necessary after them trying to literally kill her. 🤦🏻♀️🙃

The girl's going to be bullied until the end! Poor thing... Just when Bradwell starts to warm up to Unity, the b*tch Gala comes back stronger than ever. I mean, that ending... I really wonder how Unity is going to try and take her down because at this point, she's our only hope! Cannot wait to read book 3!
Unity believes the princes may care for her after the trials are done. They may have found a way to rescue Helen after meeting with a magical hag. Lady Gala, however, is evil reincarnated and will do everything in her power to stop Unity. This book has a cliffhanger ending...
While I am enjoying the series I hate cliff hanger endings. I am also not sure how I feel about the journey this book has taken me on. Obviously it is building to book 3, and I will read that book, but I feel like I jave just run in circles reading this installment.
I have to confess that I judged the 1st book by its cover. The tag line caught my interest, but it was not what I expected. This a very very mature book wrapped up in a high school like setting with the popular girls picking on the new girl - who is destined to take their boyfriends. I will say that the created world was creative and I read the whole series just to see how the author finished it.
I am honestly beginning to wonder if giving & receiving oral isnt Unity's magical power. There is SO MUCH of it. I am definitely reading the next book, I need to know what happens next.
I really, really don't like the fated or the queen especially after reading this book, also while the princes are slowly making up for what they did in the last book they still have much to do to get back in Unity's graces.
Wow the betrayal and backstabbing is huge. Its unbelievable how evil Gala is and I think she is backed by Queen Titania. Even so Unity is winning over the guys one by one. I think Pokeweed is the best man of the lot and I hope they get together somehow.
I liked this one better than the first. So much happens in this book. The characters are still amazing. You are still cheering Unity on. The prices are irresistible. Overall good series so far.
I liked this book better than the first book for sure. It was more coherent and the storyline flowed in a way that enabled the reader to follow along without losing their concentration due to plot holes and vagueness. Very cool.
The characters in this series are so wonderful, even If you want to give them a slap once in a while. The first book hooked me and this one did not disappoint at all, I cannot wait to read the next one.
Continues from the exact moment the first book ends. Unity's courage & sense of love, wrong, right & loyalty all shine through in book 2 & just as you think the outcome is going to be fair to her, it all goes badly wrong. Couldn't put it down.
XXX! Adult content, reader discretion advised. A leopard can't change it's spots. There is evil that has been released by four greedy female fae and five dark fae princes. One created fae is supposed to fix this how?
I am so hooked on this series, I can’t stop reading theses books, I am so into this story that I just keep reading one page after another.. So I’m sorry if this review makes no sense but I want to get started on the next book in this series, so bye..
Wow! I am so invested in this story right now! ThT cliffhanger has made me so fricken angry I want to gouge some eyes and scream like a banshee! Poor Unity, I can’t wait for her to get her HEA!
Fast paced with plenty of spice. The plot twists just keep coming! Can't wait to start the next one! I have a feeling that everything is going to work out fine but not before plenty of intrigue first!
