Katherine Santoro has done the unthinkable. She's fallen in love with the leader of one of the five largest mafia's in the country. Even worse? He loves her too.
But when push comes to shove and Alessio's lifestyle becomes a danger to what little family she has left she finds herself mauling over one of the biggest decisions she's ever faced.
Stay with Alessio and learn how to love one another or sell him out to the police for the greater good.
You've read the story of how they met, the story of how they've fallen in love, now read the story to see how they learn to be together or if they lose it all.
I was a bit scared to read this one especially because of the previews and the hell of a start.
I love how they were both more humane her than last and the book did scare me. I'm a romantic and for a time I wasn't sure how they would end or if that the 'they' would end up to be individual 'I'.
Still don't know how they would end but that's exactly why I am sticking out, and my head, for the third book. Just don't break my heart please.
This was the second book of the series called, Chasing Stars. Chasing Stars was a repetition of the events that happened in the first book especially the beginning to middle of it. It was a bit dragged on because there wasn’t something new, in terms of the plot. However, something that was nice about this book was that it keeps the readers excited. When you think everything is well you a plot twist happens and keeps you wanted to read more. Another thing I found interesting about the second book, is that there is a lot of character development. There is a new perspective of the characters which is interesting to read about and see how this influences there actions. Toward the ending of the book there were a lot of events to the point that it was sort of distracting. One thing would happen and then in the one thing something else would happen. It was kind of confusing but still interesting.
ALEsSIO and KATE are back! This is one of my favourite wattpad series. There are so many wattpad books that i like but most of them are by writers who are still finding their footing. While this series is one of those which is already on novel-level. The writing style is totally mature and professional and i am sure this can turn into a great published read.
I absolutely love the chemistry between alessio and kate and like i said in review of book 1, these two are perfect examples of how relationships work today. No couple is perfect, but if you really want to be with someone, you have to work on it together and only then will it sustain. i love how both of them descend from totally polar opposite worlds (one is mafia don and other is a daughter of a cop!)
Coming to the story, i loved how this book was again action packed! often writers start the story and then down the line the plot only focuses on the romance part of it and neglects the base story, but here the author keeps a perfect balance between the two.
In book 1, there were times when i wanted alessio to come to sense and accept facts sooner and not over react, and in this book i get just that, alessio overcame his fears and he is 100 % into the relationship. Not that he wasnt sure in book 1 but he was still coming to terms about how to be in a relationship and here he is just MR.right.
Kate on the other hand went from head strong to a little naive for me in this book. You make a mistake once , its fine, make the same mistake again and girl you need to get your head back in the game. I get where she is coming from in terms to NASH, but you could have handled that in much better way. Even the proposal was a big goof up her your part. i still like her nonetheless.
I hope in book 3 these return stronger than ever and even on the mafia part the story comes back with a bang.
WOULD I READ THIS BOOK AGAIN SOMEDAY: HELL YES WOULD I READ ANOTHER BOOK BY THE SAME AUTHOR: YES,YES,YES!
The second book is just as good as the first. The plot development really kept me on my feet and it is unpredictable. The minute you think you know what is about to happen, you are thrown off your feet. Moreover, you get to see a wholly different and more humane side of the main characters. However, if you were to ask me I would honestly say the lead female character became too contradictory for me to like her or even admire her. It is true every character has their own flaws and it is unrealistic to craft a character that is too perfect but Katherine, I feel is too conflicting in nature. Her contradictory character is also the one thing that helps develop the plot, in both a good way and a bad way. Even so, you can read the story for yourself and be the judge of it. Yet, it is good to see how even the mafia boss is not in any way perfect and has his own past. It is overall a really good read, one of the best stories I have ever read. But I do hope the characters can slowly break out from their annoying habit of running into way too many problems.

This book was my company every Monday when I went to college on bus and when I saw I had one more chapter to read I really would jump of joy. It was incredible. I loved the book, the story was amazing and that final... I can't be more curious to know what happens next. I'm so anxious that I keep going on that final and keep pushing the chapter up just to see if there's another chapter next! hehe
I absolutely loved this book, it really showed the different dynamics of a relationship. Kate and Alessio are not the perfect couple and this book definitely shows that. I love how the characters are given such depth and how they have so much emotion. This book was fantastic and I hope the third one ends happily.
Yet another amazing book leading on from the last! So glad I've found your books again - I've reread the first one and I'm so glad that I could read the whole of this one. This is one of those books that you just don't want to put down! --- P.s. please get rid of Nash, he's annoying ahaha
