This was our thing now. Something between us had broken. We were now suspended between what could be, shouldn't be, and never would. That was us. Lyra and Jack. Lyra Bird and Blue. Broken. Twisted.

5 Blue and Green stars!

Ever since Anna left us hanging with the three bombshells she dropped at the end of book one, I have been dying to read the conclusion of Blue and Lyra's story, and Anna did not disappoint! Before I started this one, I reread the last 30% of THE OTHER SIDE OF BLUE to once again immerse myself into Jack and Lyra's world of lies and deceit, and although I had read it before, it was still a shock to learn what we do at the end of book one. Lyra's horror and devastation are so palpable, and my heart just broke as she tries to reconcile with a truth that changed her and Jack's relationship and history once again.

Their once chaste and hidden tryst became forbidden and shameful for an entirely different reason, and Lyra fled toward her childhood home, grieving for more than a life of happiness she would never have. As THE OTHER SIDE OF GREEN begins, the drama, angst, and lies from book one continue to build and coalesce into a giant knot of secrets and half-truths that works to undermine the happiness both Lyra and Jack have found behind the façade. There were so many WTF moments where Anna unearthed a sliver of truth only to have the lies binding Lyra and Jack together grow more and more complex. I won't give away any of the plot, but I absolutely loved their heart-wrenching journey. It was messy, gritty, dark, intense, and never-ending, but so worth the wait ♡

My Jack "Blue" Cross, who's haunted by his past but would do anything to protect his Lyra Bird...

The Other Side of Green concludes Lyra and Jack’s love story and it goes without saying that you must read The Other Side of Blue first. For those reading this book straight after Blue, I’m rather jealous that you haven’t had to suffer waiting to find out what happens following that ending! It feels like it has been such a long wait but that’s because I have been fully invested in this couple since the moment I first met them.

I need to have words with this author for all that she puts this couple through! There are twists and turns throughout the story and I loved that I never knew where the storyline was going to go next and also what was going to be revealed and by whom!

Jack and Lyra are perfect for each other; they are destined to be together and I absolutely love that they share so much history. I adore Lyra as an individual and I know her Grams would be very proud of her… she already was. For such a young person she has had so much to deal with and all I wanted for her was to make the decisions that would enable her to be completely happy. I’d already handed over my heart to Jack in TOSOB and there was no need for him to give it back to me during this book! I absolutely love the support that the secondary characters give Jack and Lyra – they all added to this story perfectly.

This duet is an incredible read. I do love that both characters are able to voice their own thoughts and feelings via dual POVs. I did find that part of this book didn’t hold my attention in the way that I found Blue had - that book was unputdownable and I’d gone without sleep for it!! During the last quarter of Green I found I couldn’t stop reading until I reached the end, which is what I’ve come to expect from an Anna Bloom novel.

I highly recommend this duet to you to read. I know that you will love Jack and Lyra's story just as much as I have.

After the shocking cliffhanger in the first book, The Other Side of Blue, I couldnt wait to get my hands on this. I knew Anna Bloom wouldn't let us down but boy did she put my poor heart through the wringer all the way through!

This story was a rollercoaster of emotions with unexpected twists, turns, secrets, lies and revelations galore. For reasons beyond their control, their love all along was secret and forbidden, but the angst and heartache they were forced to face all led to one thing. Lyra had always been Jacks and Jack had always been Lyras, if only they could sort the awful mess they found themselves in. This book kept me on my toes the whole way through. They certainly didn't have it easy, but there was humour, joy and beautiful music balanced with the tension, hurt and heartbreak.

Jack and Lyra were always meant to be stronger together than apart. I loved this duet and the very bumpy journey they went on from childhood to the present day as all their secrets got exposed. The epilogue was perfect, two wonderful characters I'd love to have as friends, they both captured my heart. Their love was hard earned, their chemistry passionate and pure fire and it kept me engaged throughout. I loved their story and have to hope we'll see them again one day as there are a few of the secondary characters I'd love to get to know too.....*hint hint* 😉

4.5 wonderful green and blue rollercoaster stars

This is a well written and gripping story right to the very end and a thoroughly enjoyable journey. The plot of this story exploded my mind with its twists, turns, lies, secrets, truths, blackmail and deceit that were on every single page. The guessing game was spot on and I have never been more tempted to just read the last couple of chapters to see how it all ended, just to soothe my stress headache.

Lyra and Jack just never stop getting hit after hit of distressing problems. Each one building up to more horrors to solve. It seems unthinkable that these two will ever get their happy ending. Lyra is a great character throughout and is so much older than her eighteen years. Her love for Jack shines bright. Jack is so angsty, he gave me my headache. The scenes are quite gritty and oppressive from their past and that seems to carry on through their story.

I have had my heart racing and my breath held but it has paid off and I finally have closure. I got answers and I am so relieved to know all there is to know now.

An Enjoyable Read

Good lord, would everyone just stop a minute a actually talk? All this running away or keeping secrets to "protect" the other person...we could have been wrapped up in 1 novella instead of 2 full length novels 😂😂. Good story, though with a surprising outcome.

I have been waiting for the release of The Other Side of Green is the conclusion in The Other of Us Duet. The cliffhanger of The Other Side of Blue had my jaw dropping and me on pins and needles wanting to know what direction Anna was going to take us. This book will raise more questions and have shocking secrets unveiled. But, Lyra and Jack will be stronger together.

This novel is once again told in duel perspective. We, however, get Jack’s flashbacks of the past in this book.

The book picks up where the Other Side of Blue left off. With Lyra running back to New Orleans for the funeral of her Gram and to escape the truth bomb her brother Luca dropped on her regarding Jack.

Jack does the one thing he thought he would never do- he goes home. And, in doing so comes to realize that he spent the last four years away for no reason.

As Jack attempts to confront Lyra for the way she left Boston, she tries even harder to push him away. She thinks she is sparing Jack from the truth. As the truth unfolds, Jack and Lyra must face their past and decide on their future.

Lyra returns to Boston amid great upheaval and controversy surrounding the Collin’s scholarship she had been awarded. Jack finds himself caught up in the scandal because of his connection to the Collin’s family.

They will have to wade through secrets, blackmail and corruption. They will have to decide if their dreams of the past are their dreams of the future.

This is an amazing conclusion to the duet.

Oh Jack... the drama that you brought into yours and Lyra's life. I'm so glad these two finally got their HEA. They so deserved it. After all the struggles, lies, and mean people they deserve to finally be happy.

I just loved Jack. I loved how he was so protective of Lyra. I loved how he was willing and determined to fight for her. I also loved how he figured that he was meant to wait for Lyra in Boston.

I adored Lyra. Honestly, she didn't make me happy at first. I was frustrated that she didn't talk to Jack about what Luca told her. I was frustrated that she wasn't letting him in. But I loved how she loved Jack. I loved how she wanted to continually protect him. I loved her kindness and her honesty. I loved how she slowly discovered herself, HER dreams, her happiness.

This was a fantastic ending to a great duet. Jack and Lyra had to deal with a lot. But their love and determination helped them overcome everything. I happily devoured this book and am honesty sad to know this couple's story has come to an end. I will miss these two so much!!

This is genuinely a love story that will pull at your heart strings. The other side of green is part 2 of this story, The other side of blue must be read before reading this story.

This story picks right up where The other side of blue ends. Lyra heading home after she found out some news that will tear Blue (Jack) and her a part. Blue who has had enough of Lyra running, chases after her and is determined to keep her in his life.

I do not want to give away the storyline or any spoilers but what I can say is this:

This is a duet that has been written beautifully, Lyra & Blue are perfect for each other and will fight and protect each other and the secondary characters just complete this story. This story is told in both characters POV so we get an insight into both their minds, This story is full of angst and will get your emotions going. I highly recommend this duet and will definitely go and read more books from Anna Bloom.

The Other Side of Green is the conclusion to Lyra & Jack's story so we finally get the answers to all of our questions but it's not easy getting to that point believe me. You MUST read The Other Side of Blue FIRST though or you'll truly have no idea why things are happening like they are. It picks back up where the first book left off, and the bumps have become huge potholes, more twists, the huge secrets coming to light plus everything in between so buckle up for an insane ride! Everyone may or may not be what they seem but I'm telling you that it's super fun figuring it all out. I'm keeping it very vague because I don't want to give spoilers away for the first book by coming off details in this book. I will tell you that Anna Bloom restored my feelings towards our tortured soul hero, Jack, so I was delighted in every way. Anyway, that's enough out of me, now it's your turn to experience it for yourselves! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

4.5 STAR RATING

I was eagerly waiting for the conclusion of Jack and Lyras's story, what a cliffhanger the first book left us with but I was not disappointed.

There is so much going on in the second book, one drama after another with no dull moments. I love it!

The only disappointment I had was the epilogue jumped to five years later where I then discovered that despite Lyra and Jack being in love with each other forever, their story is a childhood to adult romance, that they still hadn't tied the knot and everything was wrapped up in the epilogue despite this. So I didn't get the happy sigh I usually get when I finish a book. I was left wondering what happed next in their hea :-(

In summary, this is a brilliant and captivating childhood to adult romance that will keep you hooked the whole way through.

Wow! What a fantastic second book in this duet! After the humdinger of a cliffhanger in The Other Side of Blue, I have been anticipating this with enthusiasm! And it's everything I hoped for, and more! Lyra and Jack seem so star-crossed, their lives filled with questions and few answers, but their feelings for each other are intense and undeniable.
With expectations and her gifts weighing her down rather than lifting her up, Lyra is struggling. Jack is determined, loving, tormented by his past.
Their quest to unearth the many truths, is fraught and difficult, but love and friendship are a bedrock they don't really see coming.
This is so good. I have loved both books and know I will return to them to spend time with Lyra and Jack again. They are such wonderful characters. A fabulous read. 💖💖💖💖💖

you tore my heart out with the cliff hanger at the end of The other side of Blue, but OMG this book pulled at it more, only wine made me survive this book.

After the revelation at the end of the last book, I couldn't see a way back from it for Lyra and Jack to be together, this books was a rollercoaster of twists and turns, heartache and love, and true to Anna's style it pulls you in, in some ways wanting to read more and other ways scared to continue but in the end the drama keeps you reading.

This second book is so brilliant, the lies, deception and the love that pulls them through it is perfect, there is no way I am going to go into more detail, you need to read it yourself, you wont be disappointed.

Well done Anna on another series, I would love to see more of Luca, Evan, Eva and Alex, I'm sure there are stories there to be told!

After that shocker of an ending in The Other Side of Blue, I was chomping at the bit to get my hands on this book. The angst and the twists and turns continue in the final part of this duet and at times, it seems that Lyra and Jack just can’t catch a break. The despair and uncertainty that is caused by the fallout of 'that' mammoth revelation, broke my heart for a couple who clearly were each other’s soulmates. Together with the other external forces that are determined to shape their lives, the Other Side of Green proved to be a riveting story of lies, secrets and revelations. It pieced together all the questions I had and demonstrates that there is always calm after a storm. 5 Amazing stars!

Lyra/ Lyra Bird & Jack /Jake Blue left us at the edge of my seat last time. So I was SUPER HAPPY to dive back in.
Now, we pretty much pick where we left off. There was a few surpises for Lyra & Jack. With Jack surpise I did not see coming! The love story between these two is such a epic love story cause they fought for their love from families to college

🎼Music brought them together
💙Grams letter I advise to have some tisses but you will smile too. I love the message towards the end of the book to believe in that we can help each other in our society. Be brave and dreams can entwine together

“Can we do the talking in a moment? I need to kiss the life out of you first.” ~Jack

I waited so patiently for the conclusion of The Other Side of Blue, and wow! It was all of the things! It had its good moments, it had angst, it had the sadness, oh the heartbreak!! I fell in love with Lyra and Jack so much in the first book and my love for them grew even more in this one. I’ve never read about a couple more meant for each other, it’s perfection. We got some devastating news at the end of TOSOB that made my jaw drop and broke my heart for Lyra and Jack, you should know the rollercoaster of emotions did not stop in TOSOG. If anything it was more stressful for my already broken soul and dang Anna for plying with my emotions that way! It was a lot but it was worth the pain. This duet is so perfect, I will absolutely re-read in the future.

This is the 2nd book in this amazing series and is a continuation of the palpable devastation and revelations unveiled in the cliffhanger in #1. Lyra and Jack are true soulmates, yet they just never get that much deserved break in their relationship from the uncertainty caused by the huge revelations which challenge them. As the secrets of their pasts, drama, and lies continue to unfold, by heart broke for these two characters. This is a beautifully written story which is emotional, intriguing, heartbreaking, and with drama, lies, secrets, twists, deceit, truths, and love. I look forward to reading more from this talented author whose work I highly recommend.

This starts off right where the last book left us hanging! I couldn't wait to read this book to see what this author would put us through, while keeping my fingers crossed for a happy ending.

I fell right back into the story and caring for characters and as predicted its no easy ride. Lyra and Jack have a deep connection and neither is willing to give up on the other ❤️. When I was well in the book there was a moment I knew would come and I actually shouted out yes, to the funny looks from my family!

This is a great story and the characters are relatable and likeable. The epilogue finished Lyra and Jacks story perfectly.

You must read The Other Side of Blue before reading this book.

Lyra and Jack's story picks up with Lyra's return home for her Grams funeral, with Jack making his way back after 4 years away at Berklee. After the news Lyra discovered at the end of book one Jack, (still in the dark), is determined to win Lyra back but also has things to settle with Lyra's brother Luca.

This was a fabulous angsty book with some drama, and a few twists. Lots of emotion (especially at the start), had me in tears. I love Anna Bloom's writing and thoroughly enjoyed this story.

LOVED IT! This was just a whole pack of WHAM, which is what should have happened and what I expected after the ending of the first book. This story did not let me down. I mean...OHMAUGRD! The shock, the reveal, the bigger surprise...then at the end with the even BIGGER SURPRISE! This whole thing had me clutching my kindle like Golem does with his precious! Anna Bloom, this was fantastic. A duet I recommend!

The Other Side of Green by Anna Bloom is book Two in The Other Side of Us Series. This continues the story of Lyra and Jack 'Blue'. So you really need to read the first book 'The Other Side of Blue' before starting this one. This book does pick up where we left off with Lyra trying to move forward but both are still engaged in their feelings. Jack hasn't let go of his feelings and this book gets on their ending journey to happiness. I enjoyed this book/series, and would recommend it.

Respecto a la relación de Lyra y Jack, más o menos igual a The Other Side of Blue.

like i said for the other side of blue. this really should have been one book. not two. there was one too many story lines for it to have not been edited back although i did love the cliff hanger in the other side of blue.

overall i like this story and it was a nice second chance romance. the i might be your brother of it all was wild and a different twist that i didn't see coming so that was nice. but the fact that he was in love with her when he was 19 and she was like 14 felt ICKY. its one thing for them to have a bond and then realize later in life that that bond was love but truly a 14 year old girl can reasonably be infatuated with a 19 year old boy but yikes should that 19 year old recognize the issue there.

i also didn't love how both jack and lyra were on these paths to becoming extremely successful especially based on their upbringing but we just get an abrupt epilogue that they run three successful music bars. like does it make sense in retrospect? yes. but also we've spent the entire book talking about how we want to stick it to the stuffy elites and then you just say ya you're right, we'll be over here with our rejects bar. i dunno. i feel like we could have seen their journey include some kind of success at the expense of the collins and that weird dean guy.

Good Book

Ahhh man I love Jack & Lyra and what a journey they have been on, I wanted them married with a few kids by the end though as their love for each other was amazing.
I love that Luca and Lyra are working together and their relationship is even stronger, however Evan & Rhian were brilliant they were such good friends and strong characters and I would love to see books on Luca, Evan, Rhian, Alex & Eva... it would be great to keep them all interlinked as the years move on.
I’m also happy for Alex & Eva (Alex really showed his character) not being sucked in to his shitty family and their lies and drama and that they came out the other end still being friends with Jack & Lyra.
I would have loved more on their downfall especially Miriam... I just didn’t like her at all and really wanted to see that bitch fall from grace.
The two books in this series are good.

4. I liked the start and the flashback to the past. I think more Jack and Lyra history was needed in book 1. The brother maybe storyline was crazy. I feel like a discussion and a DNA test could have helped. Then so much of the secrets and lies omg people just have a chat. This book started to get boring and repetitive
