Toby and Mel's story is so satisfying. We met them in a previous book and their tale needed to be told. As confident as Mel could be... there was always self doubt when it came to Toby.... yet he never saw her for more than anything than what she was to him... a spirited free thinker, who made him happy and full of love. He was dedicated to being a doctor, but so much of his time was taken up trying to achieve his dream that it kept them apart. They both felt so lucky to have each other. Moving to Florida with a couple that were their best friends and sharing a home with them just seemed so right. Things were going great for them, until a certain doctor thought she could step in and take him away... but Toby's love showed to be to true. And when the rubber met the road, he was always there for her. Their love story is one many would admire and desire. I was rooting for them all the way.

It was great reading Mel and Toby's story. It was like catching up with old friends. I also enjoyed that we got to visit with Harper and Shade again.

Every relationship has its good days and bad. Mel and Toby work through their issues together. I adore Mel's mischievous ideas for fun! Plenty of steam in their relationship.

I just knew something was going to have to happen, but I was stunned. I don't want to give away any spoilers, so I will end my review here.

I have loved each story by this author.

Wow!
This book hot steamy love scenes, strong heroines, sexy -devoted men, and just enough frightening scary stuff to make it an incredibly good book! I love that these characters are intertwined with characters from other books. You get to reconnect with past characters, which is something I love to do when I’m reading! Mel & Toby were on fire in this book!! I loved it!! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Honesty

The ups and downs, long hours being put in as a pre med student Toby and Melody are making it work, sharing expenses and a house with each other's best friends, multiple distractions, they make it work for them, the saying goes never go to bed angry, and they maintain that mantra, I really enjoyed this story, every emotion is felt, thank you, Dana Zamora

Another great book by L.E. Martin. I have been looking forward to this book since book one when we met Shade and Harley. Mel is one of my favorites in the the Laying it Bare series and I needed to know what would happen between her and Toby after everything. I loved this book more than any others. This is a must read and make sure you have your tissues ready.

What an amazing book. I really couldn't put this book down, once I started it. Mel is my hero. The friendship that Toby, Mel, Shade and Harley had is truly inspiring. This is a must read. I can't wait to read more if that s series.
