He Stole My Kiss…Right Before He Stole Me.

The second my brother’s ex-best friend tore off my clothes, I was obsessed. His ripped muscles, seductive smirk, and bad boy charm made my knees weak and everything else tingle ever since we were teenagers.
I always dreamed I’d become the center of his world.
I guess I should have been more specific about my wish.
He ruined me.
Then my childhood crush kidnapped me.
Now I’m a pawn in his vicious game.

He thinks he can use me as leverage,
Revenge for my brother’s betrayal.

I should hate him for starting this war with my family and for taking my life.
I don’t.
I should resist my cravings for his rough touch, his hungry lips, and his sinful body.
I can’t.

Because even though Roman Villani is evil and cold, a brutal monster who is incapable of love,
It only makes me want him more.

STORY:
I really do like Roman and Marchella. However, I found their progress in the book ok. I liked book one and did not get to read book 2. Once I read the blurb for Savage Beast, I wanted to read it ASAP. For me, I think it took to a while for Roman to snatch Marchella. Leading up to that point was ok, but I felt my interest dwindling a bit. Once Roman took Marchella my interest piqued again.

CHEMISTRY:
I enjoyed their physical chemistry. It was good to read.

SECONDARY CHARACTERS
No one really stood out to me but like most of the characters.

Overall, I still liked the story, but the progress was ok.

***I don’t equate these stories to real life. It’s about personal taste and what you would or want to tolerate with the books you read. I know we all have different opinions and preferences with what we read and hope this review was helpful.

Kristen Luciani Sinfully Savage bk 03 Savage Beast

Family Blinders

I can easily sum up Marchella "Chella" Amante. Fierce and naïve. She's fiercely protective of those she cares about, but her blinders, especially when it comes to her brother, are undoubtedly a hindrance. There are times that I also feel her naivety is a bit much.

Then there is Roman Villani. There are times when I have similar thoughts about him. In his case, him trying to shed his enforcer mentality has him getting caught up in his own makings. I do like him despite his faults.

The vibrations ripple through me like I’m a body of water, and he’s a smooth stone skipping over the surface.
-- Marchella Amante

Although I definitely liked this book, there are some unnecessary repetitions and timeline discrepancies. Ignoring them is easy enough, but it still strikes a nerve.

I received an author's copy of the audio book. The narrators, Tor Thom and Sarah Puckett, are really good. With different accents, it would've been really awesome if this was in duet. I still enjoyed their efforts.

Star Rating : 4/5 Stars

POV : Dual

Cliffhanger : None

Pace of the story : Moderate

Angst Rating : 5/10

Heat Rating : 6/10

Plot Summary :
Roman is Marcella's brother's friend. She has always liked him but he never showed any interest. Now years later they both are back together. Roman has kidnapped Cella as a part of his twisted revenge against her brother and there is nowhere for her to go except submit to the one man whom she hates and loves in equal degree.

Roman is a ruthless character. His only aim to kidnap Cella is to destroy her. But then he looks at her and remembers that a part of him always felt something for her. Soon things get complicated and in the end he might be the one thing that saves her instead of destroying her.

Overall Opinion :
I have read the first book of this series and it was a good read for me. I am a diehard fan of second chance romance. If it's dark then it's even better. I liked this book for a one time read because a few parts of it felt flat to me.

I would definitely recommend it to all the dark romance lovers out there as a one time read 💕.

This is a new to me author so I'm also picking up with the 3rd book in an established series. For the most part I didn't feel like I was missing too much, but I was confused a bit on some of the dynamics between the brothers and why Roman is in charge. I liked the idea of the story-line, but it wasn't the dark alpha book I thought and I never felt attached to Marchella or Roman. All of the characters do abrupt 180s. In particular, his emotions and maturity were all over the place. Over 24 hours he's using murder to send a message, no violence should be the way, threaten murder/rape the heroine and her brother, then suddenly a relationship. He was more beta trying to play alpha. Which is also part of the point of his character with him being the youngest and proving himself. I liked the first and last 25% when they meet, when his maturity became consistent and the action picked back up.

I received a copy of this book through HiddenGemArcs for an honest review.

I liked this one SOOO much better than the first book. The details are better, the descriptions are better, the character development is wonderful!
The H/h have known each other since they were kids. The h’s dad made a huge mistake where they were forced to move to the US. Years go by and the h’s lavish style is no more, courtesy of pops. She lives slightly better than a homeless person. Her brother then makes a another huge mistake, like father like son, and she is kidnapped by H.
It’s about 60% when things start happening. And let me tell you, it’s hot and heavy and so well written!
I love all the side commentary when the h is talking about herself. It’s funny.
My only complaint is that the H kind of gets all over the place with his “I’ll kill him (talking about the h’s bro)” “I’ll protect him” to “I won’t harm you” and then he threatens her. Too much inconsistency so I dropped a star.

Dante’s story will be next and it sounds juicy!

Savage Beast is the third installment of Kristen Luciani Sinfully Savage series. We were first introduced to Roman Villani In book one. But we get a clear depiction of the youngest member of the Villani family in this book as well as what makes him tic. Roman is now the new mob boss of the family business in New York and he has a lot to prove since he was always known as the one who mess up. Additionally, he can't afford to mess up Matteo's territory and all the alliances that he had formed before he took off to Las Vegas. Roman's nightclub Risk was rob by a former employee name Salvatore and his childhood ex-best friend Frankie Amante for four kilos of drugs with a street value of about five hundred thousand dollars. Frankie's dad was Paolo Villani business partners back in Sicily. But Mr. Amante was too greedy and subsequently messing up a business deal double crossing the Villani's and some other partners. They ran them out of town and they lost everything home, cars their of etc.
Roman went to Grammercy Tap Room an out of the way bar to meet his two capos to strategize on how to retaliate on the robbery. It turns out that Marchella Amante works at the same bar. She didn't recognize him so he pretended to be someone else. She was the girl that he fantasize about as teenager on from back home before the families had a falling out. But he could not act on his feelings because of his best friend. As soon as he saw her all the feelings came rushing back tenfold because she was more beautiful as a woman. He made a date with her for after her shift but when he found out that her was involved in the robbery he could not meet up with her. Marchella crush was even bigger back then. She wanted him to see her as a woman instead of Frankie little sister, just as she gain the courage to take matters into her hands everything went up in smoke for the Amante.
Frankie was mad at the Villani's for years especially since they have garnered a tremendous amount of wealth and power while he and his family have been struggling. He wanted revenge and have been waiting for the right time to strike their organization. Roman abduct Marchella as leverage because he wanted his drugs back but more importantly he wants to know whose the brains behind the robbery because Frankie is a dimwit. Chella was drugged and snatch up from the park as the attempted to rescue a stray puppy. This was right after she was kissed senseless by her mystery stranger. He took her back to his office where his men was beating Frankie. She asked him who he was and he told that he was surprised she did not recognized that he was Roman. She was livid a mix of fear, lust and anger all at one time time. The sexual chemistry between these two is like a live wire. Getting in bed with her enemy his wrong but she wanted him for a long time and it feels so right. Roman is ruthless, monstrous, and dominant disaster. My enemy as an evil smirk with my name on it. He's so arrogant and sure of himself he can't see just how much hate I for him.
Savage Beast is filled with violence, torture, action, deception, betrayals, vengeance, surprises, retaliations, love, new life etc. The story was easy to read, well written, standalone, with great supporting characters. The author even gave us a glimpse into the final installment of the Sinfully Savage series.

Marchella fell for Roman when they were kids but she never expected him to kidnap her and use her as a pawn years later. The sparks are still there but can she still love him after what he as done? Fast-paced steamy mafia read with loads of drama, suspense and twists and turns the chemistry is hot and the story entertaining. I liked it.

OMG – I am loving this series more and more as I get into each book! This is the story of Roman and Marchella (Chella), Roman is the baby of the Villani family and has felt like he has more to prove to his family to be a part of the Syndicate. He is dark, dangerous and hot-headed. He often doesn’t think things through all the way before he acts. Chella is the younger sister of Roman’s ex-best friend from Sicily – Frankie. She is strong, feisty and feels broken due to the circumstances her father left behind when he went to prison. Chella and Roman have always had a crush on the other but were never able to act on it because Marchella’s father doble-crossed Roman’s family.

When Chella and Roman meet up again after 10 years, Chella does not recognize him, but once he tells her who he is, she is livid! He has drugged her, kidnapped her and beat up her brother. She hates Roman, but also gets all hot and bothered by him at the same time. The chemistry is there and it is HOT! When Roman gets around Chella, he is a different person and feels things he doesn’t want to feel. Will they be able to get past everything that has happened in the past and be able to get over Roman kidnapping her? Only time will tell! Great story with great characters filled with a lot of drama, suspense, deception, lies, tragedy, heartache, loyalty, forgiveness and understanding. I cannot wait for the next book to come out with Dante! I received a free copy of this book via Hidden Gems ARC’s and am voluntarily leaving a review.

UGGGGGG!!!!!! This was so good and ended with the door wide open for Dante but totally left me hanging.

I am utterly and wholly in love with the Villani brothers. Each book focus's on one brother but we see glances of the others as they interact with each other in each book.
Roman is the youngest Villani and feels he has more to prove to the others and himself. He has to prove he belongs as "Boss" while brothers Matteo and Sergio are in Vegas expanding the empire. His unwillingness to ask for help or confer with his brothers may end up being his downfall.
Marchella has a history with the Villani family that didn't end well. She has been working hard to separate herself from her former life and is struggling to keep her head above water. Due to unforeseen circumstances it is just her and brother.
A chance encounter leads to Roman using Marchella against her brother. Marchella struggles with the fact that family may not be who shares your blood but who will fight for you.

This story brings Dante in the mix and we see more of his personality. The readers get to see a small meeting of all the brothers together, something we haven't had since book one. I love when all the brothers get together, and the dynamic they have with their significant others as well.
Once again, Kristen brings a fantastic story with twists and turns and edge of your seat suspense. I can not wait for the next installment.

The addition starts with the book covers….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with!

Bad boy….check
Bod boy’s crazy brother/friend…check
Bad boy’s Kryptonie…check ….check and check
By the time you’ve figured out who is who and how much you hate and wish for harm on others or just a wake up call, you’re already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter! You will start it and You will not put it down until the last page has been turned.

Can’t say I didn’t warn you.
Let me first start off with this series is worth reading each book. Roman is the baby f the Villani family due to this he feels like he always has to prove himself and to prove he belongs in the Syndicate. He like his brothers before is dark, dangerous, hot-headed, and sexy as all get out. Because of his hot headedness he doesn’t think things all the way through before acting. Chella is his crush, she is also the sister of his ex-best friend Frankie. She is beautiful, strong, feisty, and broken due to her family situation her father did major damages like double crossing the Villani family before going to prison. Let’s fast forward ten years she no longer recognizes Roman and once he tells her who he is she is so angry, he has drugged her, kidnapped her and beat up her brother badly. The chemistry they felt when they were younger is still there just stronger yes, she hates him but is all hot and bothered in his presences. Roman didn’t realize the can of worms he opened when he took her because just being around her, he starts to feel things he wants to acknowledge. But upon acknowledging said feeling he realizes he mess up bad, will Chella be able to forgive him for all that he has done, can she move past the lies, deception, heartache caused by Roman to find a HEA?

Roman Villani is the youngest of the Villani brothers and is left in charge of the business in New York while his oldest brother and his wife are in Las Vegas. Roman always feels he has a lot to prove since he’s the youngest and if he wants to be taken seriously and considered to be a good choice to run the business, he needs to be ruthless and in control. However, that control slips when he sees the girl he loved as a teen that was sent away when they were younger because of her father’s betrayal.

Marchella Amante’s life has been complete hell since her family was exiled from Italy when she was a young teen. It seems to have been one thing after another in life dragging her down. She had a glimmer of good for a while when she was in college and then when she started her dream job after graduating, but that didn’t last long. She lost her mother to illness and her job because of her father. Now she’s barley making it by, and she can’t depend on her brother Frankie for any help.

I loved this second chance romance between two people that were forbidden to be together because of betrayal between families. Now that they are both grown and living their lives, they have to tread carefully if they want to be together, but there are still barriers that will need to be overcome before they get their HEA. Roman not only has to battle himself but he also has to battle for the woman that he has loved since he was a teen. I love the Sinfully Savage series and the characters in the books. The Villani men are sexy Italians that are dangerous, loyal and deadly. Ms. Luciani’s characters are always sexy and dangerous. I love her books and her characters. The women can be just as deadly and dangerous as the men. Marchella thinks of herself as weak, but she has no problem standing up to Roman or her own brother. She’s stronger than she thinks and with Roman by her side, she’s even stronger and fearless. I loved this story and I give it a 5-star review. I can’t wait for Dante’s story. The Epilogue has me anxiously waiting for his book to come out.

Marchella Amante always had a crush on one of her brother Frankie's best friends, Roman, but when the relationship between the two families falls apart, the Amante's are forced to leave Sicily and now 10 years later are barely hanging on.

Roman Villani's family is powerful and when his older brother Matteo heads for Las Vegas, it is Roman left running Manhattan. Yet all is not well as Roman discovers that someone has betrayed him and he needs to get everything back before Matteo finds out.

When Roman discovers who stole from him he decides to take Marchella until everything is returned to him. But will having Chella under his roof make Roman stronger or weaker as he has always had feelings for her? Will Chella discover the truth behind different things that she believes has happened? Will she ever forgive Roman?

This is another great book in the series!

I really liked Chella but I almost found she was too gullible when it came to her brother. I knew her brother had done something wrong in a big way before we knew what it was but she gave him the benefit of the doubt. She lots so much because of her name and I really felt bad for her as she was an innocent victim.

Now Roman wasn't very innocent at all but we know what he's got going on due to being in a Mafia family. I liked that he knew he was still attracted to Chella after all this time but he also had a business to run and that was his first priority. He really wanted to prove himself but by doing so landed in a whole heap of trouble.

I loved the chemistry and banter between Chella and Roman from when they hated each other but struggled with their attraction to each other and the fact that they both wanted the other one 10 years ago. Roman really was trying to do what he could do to keep Chella safe as he knew who Frankie had gotten involved with.

The huge fight between Chella and Roman ended up way bigger than I could have imagined after so many other people got involved. I was shocked at what all went down but I was glad that Dante and Roman got there for Chella even though they possibly made a new enemy.

The end in Vegas made me so happy although I am super curious to see what's in store for Dante next!

Loved this book from the moment I began reading it. Roman is the youngest of the Villani family. He's always felt that he needs to prove himself so when his older brother Matteo leaves him in charge of things in New York he puts himself up for the task. Roman doesn't expect their latest shipment to be stolen right under his nose. He begins to find out who stole it and comes across a girl who he had the biggest crush on growing up. Marchella Amante has lost everything near and dear to her except her brother Frankie. Ten years ago she and her family lived in Sicily until her father backstabbed Roman's father. Since then the whole family moved to New York and things got worse. Marchella's mom has passed, her dad is locked up for killing a man and she and Frankie aren't making ends meet. When she meets a stranger at work she remembers his voice and eyes but it doesn't make sense to her. The stranger asks her out after her shift ends and she agrees. That night Marchella goes home when the stranger doesn't show up. The next day Frankie is acting weird but she manages to calm him down. Marchella goes for a run and falls into the arms of the stranger from the night before. After he steals a kiss from Marchella he disappears. On her way back Marchella tries to rescue a puppy and is hit by something that knocks her out. When she wakes up, Marchella is lying on a couch and is shocked to find out that she's been kidnapped. She gathers all her strength to get to the door of the room. The moment she opens the door she falls to the ground and is shocked to hear the voice of the stranger. Marchella is even more shocked to learn who he really is, Roman Villani. What is going to happen to Marchella? Will Roman confess his feelings about Marchella? I received a free copy of this book from the author and reviewed it voluntarily.

OMFG!!! This series gets better and better. This is Roman and Marchella’s story. These two have history together. Chella’s brother, Frankie, and Roman were best friends m, but that didn’t stop Chella from wanting Roman. Something happened between the Villani’s and Chella’s papa that made them move to America. Now ten years later Chella is trying to keep her and Frankie afloat after their father is imprisoned. When Frankie is caught doing something stupid Chella is the one to pay the price. If you have read this series, you will now what an arse Matteo is. Well, Roman is an even bigger arse. This book is a dark Beauty and the Beast meets 365dni. Let me tell you the scenes between these two are freaking hot hot hot. 🔥🔥🔥 I was totally consumed by their story. Kristen just has a way to snatch you right up and put you in the world she is writing about. I was on the edge of my seat with the suspense, lies, secrets and twists and turns. Chella may hate him, but there is a thin line between love and hate. Will she cross that line completely? You’ll have to read to find out. Now I can’t wait for my man Dante’s book. I just know Kristen is going to knock it completely out of the park. This series totally rocks!!!
Chella “So dangerous and delicious at the same time. I want to breathe him in forever…and hate myself for even thinking that.”
Roman “ I could allow myself to slip away into the pools of expressive color. But I know my big, fat ego would just sling a line around my neck and pull me back out. Because I have no business being with this girl. She shines brighter than a sky full of stars when she’s content and I’m the kind of guy who would only stomp out all of the sparkle.”

Roman, the Beast.....

Savage Beast it's the 3rd installment in the Sinfully Savage Series and can perfectly be read as a standalone.
After his brothers departure to Vegas, Roman is now responsable of running the business in NYC, a shoe not easy to fill and soon things start to shake on his territory. Enter Frankie and Marchella, old acquaintances of the Villaini family (and most precisely Roman), whose relationships were broken due to betrayal and greed and down as well went a friendship (Roman & Frankie) and a big crush (Chella & Roman). Ten years later, they reunite again, but in dire circumstances: Frankie wants his life back and promptly associates to heist Roman's goods while Chella struggles to make ends meet, hoping everyone forgets who her father is so she can live life for herself without being penalized by her father's name and his actions. Marchella becomes collateral, the leverage Roman needs to make things straight again, at the same time, his opportunity to have the woman of his dreams and develop what was already bubbling 10 years ago. What follows is a battle of feelings and wills, for Roman, the need to prove himself to his family and have the woman he always wanted, for Chella, the necessity to protect her brother and love freely the only man she ever dreamed of belonging. My 4 stars review reflects only my want for a a bit more development of the couple's relationship regarding their sentiments and emotions.
It was a well written story, funny, 🔥intense🔥, with unexpected events that will have you in the edge of your seat, because the Villani wouldn't have it any other way neither would Kristen Luciani.
In the end.....the promise of Dante!

I received an ARC and this is my voluntary review. All opinions are my own.

I always enjoy Kristen’s books and this series is just so good! I just finished Savage Beast and I think it holds up with the rest of the series in snarky fiery women and broody, brutal, mafia men and some steamy romance!

Savage Beast follows Marchella Amante, daughter of a scorned mafia enforcer, and Roman Villani, the youngest of the Villani mafia family. Roman has a lot to prove being the baby and the rebel of the family. He’s trying to be the boss but he’s having trouble running the family business. He’s in even more trouble when his childhood crush comes crashing into his life. No only does Marchella walk back into Roman’s life, but her brother Frankie unexpectedly comes back too when he causes some really big problems for Roman. Secrets need to be exposed, revenge plots need to be fulfilled and positive steps in the right directions need to occur before Roman and Marchella can make a life for themselves.

I enjoyed this so much. It did feel somewhat different from the previous books but it held its own. I liked that they had a childhood past and that they’re kind of picking up where they left off. Marchella seemed to really be holding her own. I always like seeing them being able to raise hell, it matches their mafia counterparts. Roman definitely had some growing up to do if he wanted to be boss and the situation him and Marchella are in definitely helped him grow. I also really like the family scene in the end. I’ve read the previous books so it was really sweet to see how far the rest of the family has come. Next is Dante’s book and I’m greatly looking forward to reading his story!!! Another winner from Kristen Luciani, a definite recommend for mafia romance readers!

Ten years ago their fathers were business partners, but Marchella’s father betrayed Roman’s and they were literally run out of Sicily.
Ten years later, Marchella’s father is in prison. She is living with her brother Frankie in a New York hovel, literally living day to day to pay the bills they’ve been left with after losing everything including her hard earned career.
She is now back at the restaurant that she worked at as a student, relying on tips to pay the bills. Meanwhile her brother just drifts on promises without bringing anything to the table. He still wants to play at being an enforcer but Marchella wants nothing to do with the mob life. She never has.
When she and Roman quite literally run into each other at the restaurant, they are both mesmerised but she doesn’t recognise him.
The club that Roman is in charge of supervising was hit the night before. They suffered a loss of $500k’s worth of drugs when Roman was in his office, interrogating one of the men he had fired. But he was a deliberate distraction and he wasn’t working alone. When Frankie’s name comes up in ‘conversation’, Roman knows exactly where his leverage is. Although he is still crazy about her all these years later, he knows that he is going to have to kidnap Marchella in order to get Frankie to help him. But things are never that cut and dried...
This was a well written and excellent read. Although it is part of a series it is easily read and enjoyable as a standalone. The chemistry between the two long lost lovers is off the charts and their relationship compassionate as well as complicated. The story is gripping and keeps you guessing up until the heated showdown. Absolutely loved it.

Roman is the youngest of the 4 brothers. He has a chip on his shoulder about working hard to gain the respect of not only his family but also the other mafia families. He feels he has a lot of expectations to live up to & to prove. He wants to show he's every bit as good as his eldest brother & their family boss Mateo. Marchella is the girl he left behind. The younger sister of his best friend Frankie. They had feelings for each other that neither dared act on. When they meet again several years later in a different country Marchella has fallen on hard times. Her mother is dead, her father in prison & Frankie is all she has left. She has lost her career teaching children due to her father's incarceration & supports her brother by waitressing whilst she struggles to keep the roof of their hovel over their heads, pay off their mother's medical bills & other debts her father incurred that have landed on her. Both immediately feel the familiar burn & tug to the other but whereas Roman instantly recognises her, Marchella has no such recollection & doesn't realise who Roman is. Things get out of control when Frankie pulls a job that sees Roman lose a lot of Mateo's drugs. Desperate to get the stuff back & save face all round Roman soon discovers Frankie's involvement & so kidnaps Marchella hoping to use her as incentive to get his family's product back. Things do not work out according to either Frankie's planning nor Roman's. Roman & Marchella try but fail to fight their feelings for each other & Marchella learns some sad & harsh truths about her brother & father. Will Roman be able to keep the girl & save his reputation?............

So we get the third book in this series. So here is Roman's story and as you know he is trying to show his brothers that he can handle anything for the business and family. He seems to be doing good and making a name for himself. When he was young he wanted to start doing things for the family and went about it the wrong way. He seems to be one who gets the job done but doesn't think about the bigger picture. Which is the case with Marchella. So what do you do when your family falls from the top. You brush yourself off and get back up. Only due to the nature of the fall, she has a lot of obstacles that stand in her way. So she is lucky that she was able to find a job. One night she bumps into someone and turns around to see a gorgeous man. A man she has had a crush on but hates because of his family. So here is where everything gets crazy. Something happens to some product and now Roman is on the search to find out who did it. At the same time he is wanting to make a move on Chell. Well it was not the move he wanted to make but he made one. Well this is not going to be good or is it? Well it is funny when Chell realizes who Roman is. She did not recognize him. LOL! So will Roman be able to fix the mess that was made under his nose. At one point I thought his big brother was about to hop on a plane to fix it. We find out some secrets on Chells behalf and it was a bit sad. Do these two get a happily ever after? This is great book in this series and I cannot wait for the next one.

Third brother finally realizes his match

Savage Beast is the third book in the Sinfully Savage series and is the story of Roman Villani and Marchella Amante. This is a best friend's little sister/older brother's best friend and older man/younger woman romance mixed with the Mafia world of the Villani crime family. But there is more as the two families who were originally tied together by their fathers dealings ended up torn apart when things went bad ten years ago. Ten years later and Chella's father is rotting away in prison and she and her brother Frankie are living in NYC. Things are not going so well as she is working all hours she can just to keep a roof over their heads and food on the table while Frankie is off messing up playing gangster and not providing at all. When Roman and Chella's paths cross again things take an interesting and unexpected turn. Frankie has really messed up and gotten caught which has led Roman to kidnap Chella. But once he has her he may not give her back. She may have been in love with Roman for years ten years ago but will she still feel the same way once she realizes just who has taken her and why?

This story was a whole lot of fun and sexy. I am going to say that a couple things did not make sense to me with the story details but once I decided to just go for the ride the author wanted to take the readers on I got into it. I am looking forward to reading the next in this series.

I received a copy of this book and am leaving my honest review. My opinions are all my own.

Kristen Luciani's 'Sinfully Savage' series just keeps getting better and better. In this third instalment, we meet Roman, the youngest Villani, who is just as sexy, loyal and dangerous as his brothers, and Marchella, his forbidden crush from ten years ago. The book is a perfect balance of fast-paced action, drama, intrigue and hotness.

We even get some character development with Roman, who struggles to reconcile his role in the organisation with his humanity and his feelings for Marchella. Chella also experiences her own struggles, and is a great mix of fierce and strong, and broken and naive. Her life has not been easy and she has had to cope with plenty of heartbreak, but she hasn't let it crush her spirit completely. Although she is somewhat gullible with regards to her brother, I think it makes the story more believable as he is the only family she has left (excluding her dad, who she doesn't talk to at that point) and she is desperate to keep their bond intact.

Roman and Chella's relationship is explosive and their chemistry is off the charts. Holy hotness!

We also get to see more of Dante, particularly his lighter side, full of humour and snark, though I'm sure we'll be introduced to his darker and more violent parts in his book, 'Savage Sinner'. I can't wait for this next instalment, as 'Savage Beast' left us on a hell of a cliffhanger and I need answers to my questions - what do Matteo's ominous words to Dante mean? If Matteo is acting so out of character, it surely can't be good...

Savage Beast
Sinfully Savage Mafia #3
By: Kristen Luciani
Narrated by: Sarah Puckett, Tor Thom

This series. Kristen Luciani is a master at mafia romance, adding just the right amount of suspense and romance to keep me riveted. This is Marchella and Roman's story, and it's heartbreaking at times and the build up of the enemies to lovers is spot on! Marchella's brother Frankie has done something that may have put her family in danger. When she is taken and held by Roman, she knows it's true. While staying loyal to her brother, she cannot help but be attracted to the one man that she has always loved. Yes, their families were intertwined. But circumstances pulled them apart, and now this new situation has made things even worse. Where does it all go? I can't tell you, but I will say, Luciani added twists and turns, leaving me wondering who was telling the truth, who to trust and wanting this couple to find their happiness! It's a fun, exciting listen!

Sarah Puckett and Tor Thom are perfectly cast for this one. Puckett is Marchella, and she finds her backbone and goes with it! Chella does not back down when in any circumstance, but she does have a lot of vulnerabilities. She's complicated and Puckett plays her with ease. Thom is Roman, and his deep baritone holds the dangerous nuance with a teddy bear heart when it comes to Chella. Loved these two!

This third installment of the Sinfully Savage series follows the story of Roman and Chella and this one was definitely a highlight of the series. I really liked this installment and I just found the whole book to be such a joy to read!

Although all the books of the series started out as an enemies to lovers story trope, this installment had a great twist that was demonstrated in the beginning which made it stand out from the other books that came before. The story combined the tropes: friends to lovers and enemies to lovers and it was such an unique and fun twist to the plot. I also felt that there were so many fun twists and turns to the plot with so many crazy secrets that added such a mysterious and dramatic element to the plot as well.

Not only was the plot great, the characters were wonderful too! I really enjoyed Chella and her character so much! I was glued to her perspective in the very first page and she was such a sweetie. I also was obsessed with Roman! He is such a cute and soft teddy bear with an ogre shell and I couldn’t get enough of him. I just loved them together so much and that thing with the puppy just warmed my heart like a microwave!

I also really enjoyed the epilogue and it got me so excited for the next installment! I can’t wait!
