Puffed-up after Giving Birth to a Wealthy Man’s Heir

I have so much to say about this gem, but I'm too lazy to write it...
Plot holes, unnecessary angst, unexplainable moments, ridiculous characters, and so much more, but I still enjoyed it (I'm not okay, send help).
You won't miss anything: family drama, past kidnappings, accidents, pregnancy (so many pregnancies lol), face-lapping, more family drama with faints and fake tears, revenge plots, secret marriage, etc.
As I said, a true gem 👌🏻. If that's your thing go for it!
Anyway, read at your own discretion. I'll only make one warning: Do not read this if you are studying psychology or working in this field. I'm not even going to explain why.

Anyway this is another web novel that happens in the same universe as my previous read. This is also a reincarnation novel. Same author and I think the overall feel and plot is quite the same as the other book.
So Yi Wei died in his previous life while he was pregnant, there's also an mpreg trope here by the way. He vows to get revenge on all the people who wronged him and caused his death on his previous life.
Yi Wei made a deal with Gu Yueshan to get his revenge. To be honest, I can't remember much the happenings in this book as it is sort of overlapping with the previous one for me, for some reason.
I think this one is a bit more mellow and things are quite partial with Yi Wei. I like the secondary pair on this book. I wish they have their own book. The kids are sooo cute.😍
I enjoyed reading this one. I finished it in one seating. And this one is also an ongoing translation at the moment. I read until chapter 42 and then the remaining ones were mtl'ed. It was a bit confusing and it was an effort to read.😅 Might read it again when the translation is completed.👍

Reading this right after finishing "Second Marriage of a Wealthy Old Man", as I know that the main couple from the SMWOM cameo-ed in this novel. The cameo was just a few paragraphs, but I guess I was hoping for a little more. Maybe both MCs could have a collaboration or something. But I guess, it would have diminished either of their "main character" aura.
Overall, this novel was pretty much the same as its shared universe predecessor, being of a Shuangwen/ Feel Good type of novel. The mpreg of this novel happens way earlier than SMWOM. I also appreciate that in this novel, MC isn't alone. At least he has some sort of familial ties which he could rely on/ gain some comfort.
The relationship between MC and ML is as sweet and fluffy as always. I like the interactions between the secondary couple as well (which added extra points in my liking of the novel). The extra, regrettably only one, was super cute, and I could imagine the close relationships between the 2 families. Secretly hoping for moreee (iykyk).
The comeuppance to the antagonists was quite good as well, but not all antagonists had their comeuppance explicitly described. The main ones, closest to MC, were definitely elaborated more in-depth. The secret mystery plot was revealed, like... in the last 5 chapters, and the antagonists for that did not have their downfall described. However, readers can definitely imagine how desolate it could be for them.
Overall it's a feel-good novel with lots of face-slapping to antagonists, mixed with fluffy and sweet interactions between MC and ML. Pretty easy and short read with good translations. Could be worth a try.

I don’t remember where in this story I left off but I can say that this web novel is probably not for everyone. Personally I think that the translation I read didn’t flow with me like with others. If you don’t like mpreg then don’t read this. But I’m willing to try this authors other works to see if they fit my taste better.
