Steamy & Heart-melty w Triggers
I came into this series not having read the prior books and I never felt lost. It's definitely a bit crazy over-the-top but I very much enjoyed it. It is steamy and suspenseful with great family dynamics.
Ridge / Rafael has an assignment to do but his past (and future) crash his plans. I like Ridge's continued fifty years comments and the way he risks everything to keep Kristi safe. It's cocky, cute, and heart-melty.
It should be noted that there are several triggers related to various kinds of sexual assault touched upon within the pages of this novella. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

Instalove wherein the couple has already met and fell in love prior to this book...one night stand trope and also surprise pregnancy. The title is misleading because the Hero isn't a mafia boss, he's an undercover cop pretending to be a member of the mafia (he's not even very high up on the food chain from what I could tell)

This was a riveting read, very entertaining would recommend
This was a wonderfully entertaining read that I thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend highly to other readers that want a story that will hold their attention fully and that would leave you wondering what is going to happen, how and when it was very entertaining.
The Garrison brothers are very well known and also, they are involved in a very dangerous profession, as they are involved with the Mafia it is fair to say that they have to be very careful as there is always someone that wants to kill you and yours. Kristi is at risk and Ridge is trying to help her by trying to keep her safe, if at all possible, they spend one night together and he feels his life has changed forever.
This was a wonderful read and it was also lovely to read about the other brothers and their wives that are in these books and this touched base with them which was a nice surprise.
I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

Not nearly enough sex to be considered smut. I think they actually only have sex one time.
Kristi (honestly don't know much about her other than she has red hair and nice tits) is looking for her missing cousin at a Vegas casino when she spies the hotty she hooked up with months ago at a friend's wedding (sex that we don't even get to hear about). Ridge (undercover trying to bring down a sex trafficking ring) is terrified when he sees the woman he can't forget show up in the casino.
Before he can send her away, the Mafia boss decides to add her to the sex buffet. Yada yada, good guys win, HEA.

Honestly, I liked the story otherwise. It just needed more sex between the FMC and MMC.

Seduced by the Mafia Boss by Shayla Black is book 8 in the Forbidden Confessions Series. This is the story of Kristi and Rafael 'Ridge'. I have read the previous book but did think you could make it a standalone book if you wish to do so. Kristi attended Ridge's brother Rand wedding which lead her to meet Ridge. Ridge knows from the first spotting that she is it for him and they share a hot night. But then she tries to distance herself but he ends up kidnapping her because she has found herself in danger. This was a quick hot read.

Well written,action packed mafia romance with strong characters in Ridge and Kristi. It's a short and steamy read with vividly painted scenes. I was glued to the pages with all the twists and turns along the way. I loved reading their story and the extended epilogue.

I loved everything about this spicy novella. This series is quickly becoming my new fave! I love a quick and spicy read, and throw in some feels and I’m sold. I’ve loved every story so far, and this one was no different. I also loved how it brought this part of the series to a close. It was fantastic!

I picked up "Seduced by the Mafia Boss" by Shaila Black because it was a short listen, under one hour, in audiobook format. Unfortunately, I quickly understood why this book isn't popular. It lacks a clear beginning and end, feeling like a random incident in a larger story.
The plot revolves around an undercover agent infiltrating a mafia organization to uncover a sex trafficking operation. He's disguised as a mafia member and encounters a woman searching for her abducted cousin. The twist: they had a one-night stand at a wedding months prior.
To protect her, the agent pretends to be attracted to her and takes her to a room, aware they're being monitored. He instructs her to "fight" him during intimacy to maintain the illusion. Afterward, she reveals she's pregnant with his child, adding an extra layer of responsibility to his mission.
The story unfolds predictably, with the agent saving the day without much drama or action. The "mafia" aspect feels like an embarrassment, lacking depth and complexity. It's clear the author didn't do their research on the mafia or its operations.
The epilogue feels out of place, introducing some new characters and leaving me wondering about the age difference between the main characters( epilogue was of two other couples). As the eighth book in the series, it's disappointing that it doesn't stand alone better.
Overall, I was underwhelmed by the ill-crafted plot and won't be reading more from this series.

wow this is a very dark intense read that read in one sitting as i was pulled ni from the very first page tell the very last word. this is a book that keeks you on the edge of your sit.

The addition starts with the book cover….yeah…yeah…yeah don’t judge a book by its cover they say ….well we all do it and this one here it is the scratch to your itch or better yet the filling to your oreos! Speaking of filling…..wait, that’s for later. Within the first chapters you get the panoramic view of whom you’re dealing with!

Ridge sexy as all get out youngest of the Garrison brothers and working with the Mafia out all people, he understands just how dangerous they can/are. Kristi was attending his brother’s wedding she meets Ridge instantly the chemistry is so intense, and the magnetic pull can’t be ignored so they give in to it and he knows she is it for him because there isn’t another woman out there who could compare. But by being with him she put a target on her back in the dark world of his so he will do anything/everything to keep her safe, but will he keep her safe? Buckle up this is going to be one very wild ride twists & turns, ups & downs, circles backwards & forwards and real subjects will be touched on. Will Ridge get to her in time to save her or will it be too late, and can they find happiness?

Where to begin? Darn, but Shayla Black can grab you up by the short hair hairs and thrust you into a story better than most authors. The seedy world of human trafficking and the mob is front and center in Seduced By the Mafia Boss. The last Garrison sibling, Ridge, gets his story and wowza! It's non stop edge of your seat action that will have you holding your breath and crossing your fingers for everything to come together at just the right time.
Ridge Garrison has had to live in the sleazy mafia world for three long years. Suddenly the woman he's been unable to get out of his head, is about to get caught up in this world too unless he pulls out all the stops to protect her. Coming face to face with the man who walked away nine weeks ago is a shock but Kristi Knolls doesn't have time or the patience to deal with Ridge. She needs to find her cousin. This is the story of the last Garrison brother falling! Ridge aka Rafael is second in command of the Donzelli family. One day Donzelli introduces him to his side business, the one he wants to expand with his help. Kristi met Ridge at his brother's new years eve wedding and after one night of unbridled passion he had vanished. Unbeknown to her, Ridge had somebody watching her until she disapear and appears in Vegas in Donzelli's radar. Ridge has to do everything is in power to save the woman he loves, can he do it and save evrybody else? Fast paced, passion filled, keeping you on the edge of your seat as their story unravels under your eyes. Shayla Black you introduce us to these group of people that leave a pleasantly lasting memory to the reader, wishing we could meet the amazing characters. I volunteered to review this story.

Seduced by the Mafia Boss is book 8 in Forbidden Confession series by Shayla Black. This is the last Garrison brother, Ridge (Rafael) and Kristi's story. Ridge is involved in the Mafia and has worked his way up high the Mafia chain and had to, since he's there to take down the bad guys because he's undercover to take down the Mafia. Kristi met Ridge at his brother Rand's wedding and Ridge fell head over heels for her and they shared an incredible night of passion with instalove feels. After that night of passion, Kristi found herself on the Mafia's radar and not in a good way! The story really ramps up with danger, suspense, intrigue, excitement, romance, action, and an amazing HEA. Without spoiling the story, Ridge and Kristi are perfect for one another. Loved the ending and hope there's more in the Forbidden Confessions series!!!

This story grabs you right from the first page.Ridge has to go undercover with the Mafia and their seedy human trafficking. While he's undercover he goes to his brothers wedding and meets the girl of his dreams Kristi. They have a perfect night and then he has to leave to go back to the case he's been working on for 3 years. What happens when Kristi winds up in the middle of Ridge's case? Can he keep her safe? Will he stop the bad guys? I don't want to ruin this with any spoilers but you definitely have to read this book to see what happens between Kristi and Ridge. Shayla Black did an amazing job writing a story around such sensitive subject matter. I would definitely recommend this book as well as the previous books in this SEXY series.

With each book in this series, I fall harder and harder for the Garrison men! Holy smokes!
The Garrison brother in this book is Ridge. He spend an amazing night with Kristi Knolls, but he left because he knew she deserved better and he was not good enough for her. He's been keeping tabs on her to make sure she's safe, but this story starts off with Ryan (a friend) who was watching Kristi has now lost track of her. Now Ridge must scramble to find her before danger finds her first, without giving himself away as he is working undercover for a mob group that needs to be abolished.
This story kept me on the edge of my seat and I couldn't read fast enough! I love that the other hot Garrison men were also in this book! A great story that had all the elements that I love to read! Twists and turns, hotness, danger and sweetness!

This is Book 8 in the Forbidden Confessions Series and my first read by this author. And I must say that I quite enjoyed the storyline and the characters. It is a suspenseful mafia romance between Ridge and Kristi. These two flawed souls and the unique plot make for an intriguing read. What starts out as a one night stand turns into something more. It is a steamy love story filled with drama, passion, danger, lies, secrets and violence, plus engaging secondary characters to keep the reader interested. The chemistry between the main characters is combustible and the connection is strong. A fast-paced page turner. It can be read as a standalone but you enhance your reading pleasure if you read the other books in the series.

Ridge Garrison is undercover for 3 years in the Mafia, goes to his brother's wedding, and meets Kristi. They have one night of passion and then he leaves. The drama starts and their worlds collide when Kristi puts herself in danger as she goes looking for her niece who has been captured in a human trafficking ring. Will Ridge be able to keep Kristi safe and find her niece? The romance is beautifully written, the action is non-stop, and will keep you on the edge of your seat. This amazing author has given us a wonderful epilogue in which she updates us on all the Garrison brothers and their wives. Shayla Black has blown me away with this one.

Wow, this was an amazing story by Shayla Black. I have been a fan of hers for years now. I loved every second of the novel! I couldn't wait to see what happened next.
Ridge is in a dangerous position right now. He is so close to figuring out the side business of the mafia he is in. He manages to be inform of the business before something unexpected happens. Kristi is searching for her cousin after she has gone missing. She looking at a casino to see if anyone had seen her when she is shocked to see Ridge there. She doesn't know what is going on but she must trust Ridge to save her cousin and herself. Ridge will do anything to keep her safe. Will he be able to?

Apparently Ridge is the last of the Garrison brothers-this is my first book of the series, so I had a bit of catching up to do. The story starts with action, and carries on that way throughout the book. This book was okay as a standalone but I feel like it would have added value if I had more information. Kristi Knolls is a loyal & determined, on a dangerous Las Vegas mission-she has no idea what lies ahead. She’s lucky she runs into Ridge, and here’s where it gets complicated & exciting. This may be a short read, but the author packed so much into this story, it feels like all story, no filler. I’m going to grab more of this series, thoroughly enjoyed this one.

Loved the book it was great, the storyline with Ridge and Kristi had one magical one night stand in Las Vegas and Ridge left without saying goodbye. Kristi had to go back to Las Vegas looking for her cousin she went missing, she bumps into Ridge again he is working for the mob and is involved in things that should not happen. So now she will end up into trouble that could be a life and death situation. This book was one crazy rollercoaster ride of emotions, darkness, kidnapping, sexual pleasures, arousing, adrenalin pumping, and more.

I received an ARC from the author and am voluntarily leaving my review. The eighth book in the Forbidden Confessions series is about Ridge and Krist. These two have a very short history. Kristi is trying to find what befell her cousin when she meets him again. Because he is undercover, things get complicated quickly. Throw in their attraction and things heat up also. Ridge has to end his wrap up his undercover work early if he is going to save her, her cousin and the others. The story is fast paced with action, danger and steam. There are triggers in this book.

This a fast paced romance packed with suspense, action and hot. Ridge is the last of Garrison brothers working deeper undercover to end human trafficking operation. He left Kristy after their hot New Year’s Eve with no explanation, but his intention was to keep her safe and than she will have to be his, but when Kristy receives a call from her ant saying her cousin disappeared she flies to Vegas and right on the middle of the Ridge operation, now he had to use his brains and finish this job pronto in order to save Krishna and her cousin… I loved how clever the story is and hot loved it
