When Jamie Hayes left home in a heartbroken rage, she had no plan, no money, and nowhere to go. Meeting Marcel Cross, a werewolf alpha, and Kade Walker, the head of a vampire coven, changed all of that. Now she’s got a new life, complete with a job as the first Executioner in the New York chapter of the Executioners Guild. Her mission is to take out as many demons as she can and keep the supernatural bad seeds in line while she’s at it.
The police are searching for a serial rapist in the area, one with a penchant for beautiful young blondes and a habit of leaving no survivors. When a female vamp from the Walker Coven disappears, the Guild gets involved, and Jamie’s first assignment is to track Jacqueline down and bring her home safe before she ends up like the others.
The hunt is on. If Jamie’s not careful, she could wind up becoming the next prey.
BAD WOLF, the first novel in the Executioner series by urban fantasy romance author Jena Gregoire.
Bestselling author JENA GREGOIRE was born and raised in New Hampshire, USA, and despite her abhorrence for any season which dares to drop to a temperature below seventy degrees, she still currently resides there with her two children and several furbabies. Always a passionate reader, her love of urban fantasy books inevitably morphed into a love of writing them. She is currently working on two series - the Hellfire series and the Executioner series.
I was sent a copy of this book in exchange for a review. This is the first book by Jena Gregoire that I've read and I have to admit that my favorites author's list is getting pretty long and I've just added another name. Jamie has to have one of the most unusual jobs for any female - paranormal or not. She meets Alpha werewolf shifter Marcel and Head vampire of the local coven, Kade. I think her life is about to change - for the better. I loved the plot and will be eagerly looking for more by this author. Recommended read.
I really enjoyed this read! Marcel, Jamie, and Kade are such dynamic characters, and the love triangle is handled perfectly. Even the secondary players have dimension and add to the story. The pacing is good, and the story flows well, although there is a section that goes from an attempt to retrieve villains to a grisly aftermath and doctor's care with nothing in between; rather confusing... I want more of this fantastic storytelling!
This is a great read and so worth the time to read. Love how the characters are brought to life by the author. The way they have to all work together to reach a common goal. It is a great story and a nice way to spend a evening. I would recommend this to all.

Jamie is a bad as human in a supernatural world and she kicks it. She's earned her title as the Executioner and leads a kick as team of supernaturals out there hunting down the worst of the worst. And she does it with attitude. She makes friends in the most unusual places but they turn out to be just what she needs to back her up. This was a great read that I found hard to put down once I started. This is a new to me author but this peaked my interest enough for me to check out more of their books.
Jamie arrived in New York alone and jobless. Now she is the first Executioner of the first chapter of the Executioners Guild. She works for the High Council, with the backing of the local coven, led by Kade. The local werewolf Alpha, Marcel, also helps out and both he and his wolf are interested in Jamie. Jamie’s first case with her team involves a serial rapist and will push she and her team to their limits. Jamie is a kickass heroine with a great surrounding cast, especially Marcel and his pack. I received an advance copy of this book and voluntarily left a review.
