This second installment of the Mercy Aymes series has all of the excitement, action, and revelations of the first book and more! I appreciate that rather than leave readers with a cliffhanger, a number of issues were resolved by the end of this book. I look forward to the future adventure of Mercy Aymes and friends!
I adore Lord Have Mercy, but I absolutely loved the sequel Mercy On Your Soul. Mills shines at world-building, character development and epic fight scenes. Mercy On Your Soul is a quick-paced page turner, and I devoured the book within days of starting it. Mills’ writing creates vivid imagery and the subplots and twists and turns had me swept up in the story and craving more. Love, revenge, suspense, danger, good versus evil and a smattering of humour made for a cracking read. One of the best books I’ve read this year. Bravo, Ms Mills.
This book is just as amazing, if not more so than the first in the series. It’s extremely long, but jam packed full of interesting storyline’s, and character development, fighting scenes. The author has created an amazing world, that leaves you wanting to know more about each character, leaves you wanting to explore it inside and out. I’m really looking forward to what adventures we are taken on next.
This Second book, by H.M. Mills; was exciting, and even more thrilling! The descriptions, painted a picture in my mind; and brought the story to life. The battle scene was explicit and gruesome; whereas the love scene, was particularly subtle and tastefully written. I’m expecting there to be a third book in this series; and I look forward to it with enthusiasm. I give this book, 5 stars.
This book has it all. Humour, love, unpredictability, suspense, betrayal, loyalty, good versus evil angels, demons and gargoyles, and an epic fighting scene. Wow. So many things happening! The intricately woven plot keeps you guessing until the end and doesn’t disappoint. Great read.
I just finished ‘ Mercy on your soul’ and I loved it. I was genuinely moved to laughter and tears throughout. I was in suspence for the unfolding of each new chapter and in awe of the plot and the details that wove it all together. While I don’t actively seek out the subject of Angels and Demons, I believe there was a little of us all in H.M.Mills’ characters that had me hooked anyway. It was an adventure I look forward to going on again. This book will always be close to my heart and on the top shelf of my bookcase.

A great addition to the Mercy Aymes Series! Mercy on Your Soul is an awesome adventure with some great characters and great themes of angels vs demons, good vs evil. The epic fight scenes were some of my favorites, as well as the scenes between Talus and Mercy. The cliffhanger at the end has me wondering what will happen in the next book!
Mercy on Your Soul, by H. M. Mills, follows Mercy, a character who is part demon and part angel, allowing her to navigate both hell and heaven. Lucifer desires to make Mercy his queen to exploit her ability to access heaven and overthrow God. However, Mercy is in love with someone else and refuses Lucifer's proposition. In response, he and his demons pursue her, while archangels, intent on thwarting Lucifer, seek to eliminate her. Aware of the peril she faces, Mercy goes on the run with her beloved and friends, some of whom are human, seeking assistance to ensure her survival and freedom.
The novel falls within the supernatural genre, featuring characters like demons, Satan, and angels. It is set in France, the United States, and various realms beyond Earth. The narrative highlights the rewards of taking a challenging path. Mercy had the option to mate-bond with Talus, eliminating her demonic side and rendering her useless to Lucifer, but she chose to fight and preserve herself until she was ready. When she eventually bonds with Talus, it is wholehearted and without regret.
A major strength of the book lies in its dual narrative perspectives, using both third and first person. Mercy narrates her story, offering readers valuable insight into her character. The third-person viewpoint allows the author to cover events outside Mercy’s realm, providing a broader overview of the story. The ending, which leaves readers wondering about the future of Mercy and Talus's relationship, is also compelling. The introduction of numerous characters throughout the book adds depth, occasionally encouraging readers to revisit certain sections to fully appreciate their roles.

With its unique mix of viewpoints and intriguing ending, the novel captivates readers while encouraging them to dive deeper into its richly woven tale.
The Second book is what we hoped for from the first one and so much more! Loved the character’s’ interactions. It’s always fun to see how each maintain their own perspective throughout the series. I enjoyed the epic story and it’s culmination, as well as the love story between the main characters. Who doesn’t love a good romance? Would recommend to anyone who wishes to live through a marvelous fantasy journey even if for a short while.
Great read. Having read book 1, I snatched up book 2 with glee. I was lucky enough to read the revised version, which will be live very soon. I thoroughly recommend that you wait just that little while longer and wait for this copy. It will not disappoint you. This is a well written and beautiful edited piece of work. I loved it. Mercy has grown so much since the first book and is developing into a brilliant kick ass woman. Although I have to say I want to know more about Abi, and her boys, lol. H.M.Mills has to pull those words out and get to number 3. I cannot wait. It is not a short read, but I thoroughly recommend it. It has, heart, love and battles. Could be read by Y A, and marked also as a clean read. It is full of emotion and you feel it in the words…
Mercy on Your Soul is a fantastic second book for this author. I loved the faster pace and all the great descriptions. And wow, the fight scenes were pretty epic.. I'm not a fan of smut in books, so I'm glad this book didn't go that way, but it still managed to have a beautifully poetic love scene. It wasn't in your face, but there was no mistaking what was going on. There are some great new characters and plots to get lost in. I love the way the author has written Mercy's character with humour, vulnerability, and an understated strength. I like that she's not an instant super badass, but not a clumsy wimp either. I'm looking forward to book 3.
