I'm a USA Today bestselling mystery/suspense/thriller author and a big horse and sled dog enthusiast.

My hunky husband and I ride our beloved draft cross horses way up in the frozen north of Snowheresville, WY, where we run a rustic, off-the-grid lodge on the face of the Bighorn Mountains. When I'm not writing or riding, I'm passionate about wilderness sports, always with a couple of rescue dogs, bear spray, a mountain lion knife, and my Judge. NO ANIMALS HAVE BEEN HARMED IN THE MAKING OF THIS LIFE ADVENTURE (but don't sneak up on me).

I've made some lists and won some awards, yada yada. Amazon Charts Top 25 bestseller. USA Today Bestseller. The Silver Falchion for Best Adult Mystery WINNER (Fighting for Anna), the WINNERS for USA Best Books Fiction: Cross Genre (Hell to Pay, Heaven to Betsy), and others. With books "in print" of over 3,000,000, readers seem to enjoy the books—I think they have exceptionally good taste. {insert goofy grin here} Lots of them follow my show Wine Women & Writing, too, where I fangirl my favorite authors and interview them for your listening and viewing pleasure. Well, yes Patrick Flint and his family are, again! in the middle of a murder mystery. Seriously, haven't they learn a thing? They never should leave their home again *laughs*

And OMG! the kids are becoming grown-ups, how they dare to consider romance? Always a fun time when that happens in any house, that's for sure :P

This is another great, character-driven mystery; one that is up to the author's high standards: great writing, great plot, great character development and lots of suspense. IMHO this series is one of her bests, and that’s saying something.

Another great story is Dr Patrick Flint besides a medical effort while held in a nasty blizzard, and dealing with a broken rib. As although the story includes several side subplots. Each story is full of suspense and danger. I has to read from beginning to end without a break. I always want more.

Super plot. The Patrick Flint series is another winner for this terrific author. Those who follow the series will love Stag Party and those new to it will want to start at the beginning of the series. Highly recommend this book and author.

As you may be able to tell from my read dates - I couldn't put this down! I love the Patrick Flint series because they're set in an earlier time with less technology, and it's all about family, the good and the bad. This one was a little less "gritty" than the previous books, which I really enjoyed. Don't get me wrong, I like thrillers and can handle some bad language and violence, but it's nice not to have much in a book (especially with everything going on in the world today). I enjoyed learning more about the family dynamics and getting a deeper look into the characters. (And yes, I can totally see the author as a teenager!)

Stag Party - a review by Rosemary Kenny

Dr.Patrick Flint gets into a heap of trouble, while trying to buy his wife, Susanne, a new horse from the O Ranch, to replace her old, dead one. Accompanied by his kids, Trish and Perry, things have already started to go awry for the handsome medic and family man, as the trio return empty-handed, ready for Susanne's brother Barry and his intended, Esme's, arrival for pre-nuptial celebrations.

Subsequently someone in the men's group undergoes a serious accident in the snow, during the eponymous 'party',while more shocking events continue from that, like an unstoppable avalanche - where will the trail of destruction end?

You can be sure the women, Esme the bride-to-be, Susanne, her wayward daughter,Trish and Dian - who's the groom-to-be's (twice) ex-fiancée - have their own dramas too, both at home in Buffalo and in Dallas, during their impromptu, getaway 'hen party'.

For a character-driven, edge-of-your-seat mystery, that you won't want to put down before you reach the very last word, on the very last page, with action, thrills, danger and a realistic conclusion, (that doesn't end in a cliffhanger), get your copy of Pamela Fagan Hutchins' exceptional wilderness- backdropped, sensational Flint family, winter wonderland adventure, Stag Party, immediately - it's far too good to delay getting your hands on!

I'm so glad that the author is continuing this series. In this one, she does a superb job of weaving the world events at the time into her story set in the Wyoming wilderness. I highly recommend all her books, but the Patrick Flint series is my favorite.

Another heart-thumping thriller in the Patrick Flint series. I don't think Patrick Flint can leave the house without trouble finding him. He's off on a guys' weekend with his son when big trouble finds him. And it only gets worse. At the same time, his wife and daughter are off on an adventure that turns into even more excitement. Then there's a third part to the story about his daughter's boyfriend, who is just starting college.

I love this series, but I don't know if my heart and my clenched stomach can take too much more. It's one thing after another. Well written and exciting story. Well thought out and believable.

I highly recommend this book and the entire series.

I was provided with an advance reader copy of the book by the author. This is my honest review.

Like the rest of this series, this book is very well written and has great characters. There are actually a few parallel stories here, and still it's easy to read, as well as very entertaining.

if you’re not already a Pamela Fagan Hutchin’s groupie, you will be after you read her latest book in the Patrick Flint Series Stag Party.
Stag Party ‘s back story is a trip to a mountain lodge in Big Horn Mountains for a weekend of guy time and winter sports. A short side trip to check out a new horse for his wife Susanne sets the stage for yet another Patrick Flynt adventure: a stint as a veterinarian, cracked ribs, two dead bodies and a missing ranch hand. Not surprisingly, readers are hooked- drawn in by Hutchins depth as a captivating writer: characters you swear you know, places you swear you’ve been and a story you cannot stop reading

Pamela adds so much to the Flint books, don't start one just before bedtime! Stag Party begins with murders, mayhem, and a pair of teens in love. It continues with a shopping trip and a powerful snowstorm. Everything in between gives you pause for riding horses, powering snow mobiles, and camping in the powerful storm. With two Doctors, brothers-in-law, and a couple of leaders, you discover how much can be done in a small "cave." Keep an extra pillow nearby as you'll b on the edge of your seat!
As an ARC reader, I willingly offer my review.

I did not care for this book. The story is the same as the previous books just with a slightly different type of murder and the bad guy names change.
Trish is still an angst driven teen which I can't take much of.
I did not finish this book and will not be continuing the series.

STAG PARTY #6. Whoever dreamed a stag party could be the beginning of a trip through a terror novel? Hangovers. Corny jokes. But terror? Pamela Fagan Hutchins can do it with realistic action and awesome descriptive passages of the Wyoming wilderness that will keep you tied to the chair you like to read in. Wyoming, Big Skies, late 1970s. We have the full crew at home in Buffalo in this one, along with a planned houseguest, Dian, Susanne, and Patrick's highschool and lifelong friend and Barry's twice-times ex-fiancee. And Surprise! Susanne's brother Barry, the soon-to-be-honored recipient of the oncoming unplanned stag party, with his new fiancee Esme. So it's a lot of people - all coasting around Clear Creek Resort on snowmobiles - lot of snowmobiles in the tale, and the Flint luck has not changed much at all. Some of the bad guys we already know from past novels, and some are brand new. 17-year-old-Trish is in love -again - with Ben this time. Perry is 13 and does not receive the respect he expects to have as an official teen. Trish and Perry will of course be held hostage again. But Wyoming in winter is described beautifully making for an echo of yearning in my heart. But this series makes me even more grateful for my SW desert home with average 60-degree daytime winters and of course my cell phone, GPS, Prius, and Pinon coffee. Maybe those good old days weren't all that great in retrospect. PFH has me adding Wyoming to my bucket list - my summer-only bucket list...

Another winner!
Murder and mayhem seem to shadow this little area of Wyoming almost hungrily. Plus, the seasons, weather, and topography make for more complications at times as the outdoors play such a large part in one’s life in this “neck of the woods”. In this latest nail-biting installment, diasterous events literally snowball out of control. It’s a haunting cross section of community, loyalty, mystery, and fear. A worthwhile read in the series, each book seems to be better than the last! Highly recommend that you do NOT begin reading this book in the evening or you’ll be up all night!

The family that faces dangers together.....gets tougher?

Every member of the Flint family is in some type of crisis and, as in previous books in this series, the tension kept me riveted to this story . Ben not only broke Trish ' s heart but mine also , and as it turns out, Patrick and Susanne ' s. At least Patrick's heart is still beating after all the danger in the mountains. I won't spoil your reading but snow mobiles in a blizzard on a mountain, murderers on the loose, an accident with no access to help, a new fiancée stuck as a houseguest with a previous fiancée, and a runaway teen make a great read!

Stag Party, the latest book in the Patrick Flint series, is another action-packed, suspenseful roller-coaster of a story.
Follow the trials and tribulations and adventures of an all-American family living anything but a quiet life in rural Wyoming, deep in the Big Horn Mountains.
Interesting, relatable characters and a story set in the late 1970’s make for truly entertaining reading.
The entire Flint series is top notch reading, and Stag Party is no exception.

Another “edge of your seat" mystery
Ms. Hutchins has woven three separate situations into one story that had me captivated until (as always) the very last word. One weekend that leads to danger for all members of the Flint family, together and separately. Get ready for a terrific “action” story that will have you reading into the night to finish it!
I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

International Relations

Hutchins’ books are so entertaining. Stag Party: A Patrick Flint Novel is no exception. But, I fear that with Patrick’s numerous injuries in so many books in the series, the poor man may wear out before Hutchins is through with him! Suzanne needs to take better care of him. Their relationship after 17 years of marriage is joy to read about. Looking forward to the next in series.

Once again Patrick Flint and his family are involved in murder and intrigue. On top of that the Flint kids are growing up and relationships with the opposite sex are creating havoc. Add to that international complications and you have non-stop action. I really love this series and can’t wait for the next book. Highly recommended.

I received an ARC copy of the book in return for an honest review.

Another awesome Flint story. This time the males and females each get an adventure of their own. A look back on the oil crisis of the 80’s. Patrick finds himself injured and out in the wilderness again. Trish and Ben are moving their relationship along. Things are changing in the Flint household. This is just another great page turner in the series.

Wyoming background beautifully described so you feel like you are there. Thrilling minute by minute chase to find the murderer and save everyone in the snow covered mountains. Love the characters! This was a riveting, funny and heart breaking book. The Flints are always getting right in the thick of things! Trish is now a teenager experiencing first live and loss. Patrick saved the day again by taking down the bad guy! Love this series and can’t wait to read the next book.

mysteries and young love

Patrick Flint and his family are always in a bit of bother, and that bother always means mysteries, murders, and showcases the effort that goes into keeping this family safe. The pace is rapid, the characters are outstanding and, at all times it is well worth following.
