Scarlett Woods' We Made It is a fantastic bonus novella to the Road Trip to Tivia series. Isaac has stayed in Tivia since high school, is a doctor, and has been instrumental in organizing the 20th Tivia High School reunion. As the night of the reunion arrives, so does his first love and high school sweetheart, Chloe. Accompanying Chloe is her fiance, and she quickly realizes that what she feels for her long-time boyfriend pales in comparison to what is still there between her and Isaac. These two have obvious and immediate chemistry, and this is a sweet (and hot!) second chance romance. This is a standalone, but if you have read the other books in the series, you will enjoy catching up with the other new couples who all managed to find one another on their unique road trips back to Tivia High.

First things first; I like the cover of this book!
We made it is the fifth book in the ‘’road trip to Tivia’’ series.
This story is short, fast paced and an enjoyable read. I read this book in one sitting and was satisfied throughout. I found the writing style easy to follow, the characters likeable and the storyline enjoyable. Isaac and Chloe were once high school sweethearts. When it came to college they went their separate ways. Years later and they are reunited at their high school reunion. Only problem is that Chloe is engaged to a jerk. Will Chloe wise up and get the man she truly loves?
The chemistry between Chloe and Isaac is clear to see and I liked them together.
I really liked the ending and the epilogue for this story.
The storyline for this book is easy to follow and it is an enjoyable read.

Open to a Second Chance ?

Their high school reunion brings Isaac, now a doctor, and Chloe, a bartender, back into each other’s lives. They had gone their separate ways for college and drifted apart. But neither has stopped loving the other, despite Chloe’s 15-year engagement to a loser. The fact that she held back that long is a testament, even on a subconscious level, that there was nothing there between them. She already had a full heart that had always belonged to another. And as soon as Isaac gently touches her, it becomes clear what she needs to do. Will Isaac and Chloe take the second chance they are being offered? Will they be open to the HEA they left behind so long ago?

This story was okay. I didn’t really like the fact that the h was engaged to another guy for most of the story. The reunion scenes were funny and it was a quick read. And in the end I was glad to see the main characters together.

Chloe and Isaac were high school sweethearts and went their separate ways after high school. Years later they see each other again and the spark is still there. I do love it when high school sweethearts reunite and fall in love again. This is a sweet second chance at love story about two people who are perfect for each other. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.
