More things are starting to happen and I feel this is where the manga will truly start to pop off! I'm curious as to what else this mysterious blade test has in store so I can't wait to start the next volume!

The Daito Mine Arc is my favorite arc in the series. This volume and the next 2 are gonna be a blast! Really sets the stage for the greater story of Orient.

Wielka wyprawa Musashiego i Kojirou w nieznane zaprowadziła ową dwójkę na Zamek Samidare. Pan tego przybytku ma zupełnie inny pogląd na świat niż wspomniani nastolatkowie. Na pewno nie podoba im się plan posłużenia się niewinnymi mieszkańcami w celu powstrzymania zbliżającej się fali demonów. Według bohaterów obowiązkiem samuraja jest obrona niewinnych, a nie krycie się za ich plecami. Nie pozostaje więc im nic innego jak tylko spróbować powstrzymać Kosamede i ewakuować mieszkańców w bezpieczne miejsce. Niespodziewanie zyskują oni ważnego sojusznika. Jest nim Tsugumi Hattori, która nie tylko wyzwala się spod władzy Hideo, ale również decyduje się mu jawnie przeciwstawić.
Zarys fabuły trzeciego tomu jasno pokazuje, że na czytelnika czekać będzie tu spora dawka widowiskowości. Jak na dobrego i dość klasycznego shonena przystało, kolejne strony mangi wypełnia zapierająca dech w piersiach walka, która potrafi trzymać czytelnika w napięciu do ostatniego kadru. To oczywiście nie wszystko, co ma do zaoferowania tytuł. Shinobu Ohtaka obok „akcyjnej” treści dużą uwagę poświęca nowej bohaterce (Tsugumi). Nastolatka prezentuje tu nie tylko swoje ponadprzeciętne zdolności, ale również dość złożony charakter, który idealnie będzie kontrastował z zachowaniem głównych bohaterów. Obok tego wszystkiego nie mogło również zabraknąć charakterystycznej dla serii warstwy humorystycznej. Żarty są całkiem przyjemne w odbiorze. Trzeba być jednak świadomym tego, że czasem są one troszkę zbyt sprośne i niepoprawne (według obecnych standardów).
Wszystko, co zostało opisane w akapicie powyżej, nadal nie jest pełnią treści, jaką można znaleźć pod obwolutą trzeciego tomiku. Podobnie bowiem jak w innej swojej serii (Magi) autorka lubi zagłębiać się w dosyć złożone i nie zawsze jasne (przynajmniej na pierwszy rzut oka) tematy polityczno-religijno-społeczne. Treść tego typu mocno kontrastuje z prostą shonenową otoczką i będzie przez czytelników bardzo mocno indywidualnie odbierana (wszystko zależnie od tego, czego tak naprawdę oczekuje się od tego tytułu).

Tsugumi on the cover! I'm liking her character so far, she's so indecisive but really wants to help.
The series is developing nicely and with the addition of Tsugumi it adds another dimension to the group as it is now, not to mention her personality really makes me chuckle at times. Finally some parts were explained that I've been curious about for quite a bit now, the demon metal blades, there has been bits of information here and there but this volume really nailed it down.
The last few panels were really good! Like they look to have opened up old wounds or brought back long forgotten memories for Musashi, I'm curious to see where it goes next!

This volume got a bit darker than the previous two. It's not overly graphic, though. We learn more about our new companion Tsugumi in this volume, mostly regarding her past with her sister who was murdered. I'm loving where this story is going and I can't wait to see what happens in the next volume.

This series has me intrigued. I'm not in love with it because the characters are kind of annoying right now. But I like the story concept and am intrigued to see how the characters and their band of Samurai grow

Je remercie les Éditions Pika pour l’envoi de cette lecture. Impatiente de lire ce manga, autant vous dire que je me suis régalé en le lisant. En plus, les couvertures sont toutes plus belles les unes que les autres ! 😉
Musashi et Kojirô étaient mal préparés pour leur voyage et se retrouve du coup rapidement à court de nourriture. C’est ainsi que grâce à la jeune bushi Tsugumi, ils vont trouver refuge dans le château Samidare.
Pourtant, en y arrivant, on y découvre non pas des bushi unis, qui défend les leurs, comme l’image que s’en fait Musashi, mais un seigneur tyrannique. Alors que les onis s’apprêtent à tout anéantir, personne ne fuit, car le seigneur des lieux, le menace de les tuer s’ils fuient. C’est ainsi que Musashi et Kojirô vont tout faire pour aider ce peuple et surtout la jeune Tsugumi, qui est sous le joug de ce dernier.
J’ai adoré ce tome. On y découvre un nouveau personnage qui va accompagner nos deux jeunes hommes : Tsugumi. La petite dose féminine qui va faire du bien à l’équipe, même si elle est un peu spéciale parfois ! ^^’
En bref, l’univers est toujours aussi riche et intéressant que dans les deux premiers tomes. Avoir un nouveau personnage dans l’équipe, est intéressant et surtout cela marque le début de leur clan. Par compte, ce tome se termine d’une manière !!!! Si seulement je pouvais avoir la suite entre les mains !!!
