I have been reading MV Kasi’s books for a while now. Amongst many other things, they were my great companions during lockdown last year and even after that. And I started following her on Instagram also for updates on her new books. I picked up “Wicked Deception” on a day when I was emotionally down and needed to read something that would recharge my mind.

Wicked Deception is about Narmada and Yash. Two absolutely different characters for me. They have different agendas in life and are only supposed to cross paths for a reason. Revenge that Yash and his brothers have in mind and use Narmada as a pawn. But are things that easy to execute when life and fate have different plans?

Few things that I liked in the story are how the characters sound real and not really fictional in nature. It is ok to feel lonely and crave companionship or love if you are a widow. It is better to accept your partner’s reality than be angry or cry over it. It is necessary to acknowledge your feelings even if you fall for your enemy and walk away to say, you deserve it!

The story has its own thrills and surprises as you keep turning the pages. You can read this as a standalone story or wait till MV Kasi releases the stories for Bhargav and Aryan in the series. I am definitely waiting!

This book has a hint of dark romance. Story about Yash and Narmada, it speaks about deception and love. Enemies to lovers trope is written beautifully. I loved Yash and how his character is portrayed. Narmada is strong and knows what she wants and goes after it with full force.
A lovely read for romance readers.

I have been reading MV Kasi since long but this book asks you to take a leap of faith which seems beyond the scope of characters in the book.

It starts with Yash Varma and Narmada having a one night stand where the H deliberately planned to seduce her and use her to gain shares in her company bcos of chastity clause added by her ex father in law (Yash had some revenge plot against her father in law)

Firstly, a widowed of 3 yrs (later revealed to be virgin) would be skeptical of going for a one night stand without any meaningful conversation and without even knowing the name of the hero. I mean that action conflicts with the entire character of the Narmada.

Secondly, it is mentioned that Vaibhav her ex husband and she was trying or atleast discussed of having kids even though it is later revealed in the story where Vaibhav is gay and had an another lover Tanuj. So pray tell how you would have kids without adoption. Also, author needed to make this clearer if they have thought of IVF.

Thirdly, h is shown to be strong but somewhat of a martyr which is again a conflicting trait with the character I mean you are so hurt by deception of Yash Varma ( a stranger) but you are ok that your husband whom u have known since childhood and calls ur best frnd betrayed you revealing that he is gay only after Marriage that too on your honeymoon.......

I think this author tries to copy writing style of lot of international authors like Cora Reily but she is not able to match the character traits with their actions.
But inspite of the grammatical errors the author is still engaging and holds enough of your interest to read other stories in the series but only if u take that leap of faith.....

The story is similar to the devil series but with a little twist.
Loved the characters narration .

Off course loved Yash Varma
But it is very disappointing to see that MV does not understand one thing.
The women can too be cold and ruthless , I find her female protagonist very much talkative.
Her words talks louder than actions .
Over all the book is good to read.
It is like dark chocolate very tasty from inside (using fos for this book)

I loved reading this amazing book by MV Kasi. Every book of this author is something different and yet filled with passion, romance, suspense and also some good humour. It is always out of the world experience to read the journey of love with so much passion.
Narmada was successfully running the company she had built with her late husband. Genesis Corporation was everything to her and she did her work passionately. She never allowed any man near her intimately after her husband’s death, until him. One passionate night with him could cost her everything but she craved him. She let herself free from the shackles for one night.
“If you allow a man’s touch, you will lose the company.”
She didn’t expect anyone to find out but was shocked when she lost her company to the same man who made her feel heaven that night.
“He was the man she hated with every fiber of her being.”
Yash Varma was a ruthless businessman and would do anything to achieve his goal. He had a plan to defeat his enemy and spending a night with a beautiful widow was just a part of his plan. However, he didn’t expect to still crave for her. But, that wasn’t the only challenge he was facing.
“Yash knew his beautiful pawn would fight tooth and nail to win back her company.”
Narmada was determined not to give in. She would do everything to get her company back from the ruthless man. She was going to find out the extent of his deception.
“She had glared at him in an angry challenge, making it obvious she was going to cause trouble.”
Yash could not have her and also defeat his enemy. The goal he had planned to reach for so long would be at risk if he gets distracted by a beautiful widow.
“He would eventually win the game of revenge, but he lost the biggest battle of his life by losing the woman who held his heart.”
They both had to face challenges while dealing with each other but that made them more intriguing. The chemistry and attraction were undeniable but they were stubborn enough not to give in their temptation and defeat the other with their deception.
“They hurt each other with their games of deception. But despite the hurt, something beautiful and powerful was born that they both wanted to hold on to.”
I absolutely loved reading each and every interaction of Yash and Narmada. They both had a certain goal to achieve and for each of them, the other one was a big problem. Yash had already destroyed Narmada’s life and Narmada was determined to destroy his. They were making continuous efforts to resist the attraction and to defend themselves while attacking the other one. This story had a different impact as until the last moment there was immense tension and lots of unsolved mystery. There still is and I am really looking forward to the next book ‘Wicked Lies’.
I highly recommend this book to every reader who loves an awesome passion, chemistry and romance and also great suspense and mystery of the past.

Wicked Deception by MV Kasi.

First of all thank you so much MV Kasi for writing something magical after your Devil Series. This novel of yours definitely stands out in the category of dark romance & I am sure it will be loved by the Devil Series fans.

The story revolves around Yash & Narmada. As the title suggests it’s about deception. A wicked & planned deception by Yash Verma which turned the life of Narmada Mohan upside down for none of her faults. Though she was just a pawn in a larger game of revenge but she was no damsel in distress. She challenged Yash Verma’s authority & refused to bow down. For Yash she was just a pawn helping him to reach his ultimate goal. Little did he know this beautiful pawn will turn the table around & make him fall in love with him. Yash fell for Narmada all Hook, Line & sinker but Narmada was not ready to forgive him for his deception. Find out how Yash pursued Narmada. U will enjoy reading a jealous devil & a fiery wench.

If you like dark romance then you are going to love this novel. It has dark passion, vengeance, remorse, intractable attraction, hate, revenge & what not. MV Kasi has concocted each element in such a magical way that u will be on the edge till the last chapter. Few strong points:

- The plot is interesting & the theme will keep u hooked from the first page itself. It’s not a suspense thriller but u will be intrigued.

- The best part it is completely unpredictable. Even if author has revealed some reasons for revenge but still a lot more is hidden for sequels to come.

- MV Kasi has her unique way of sketching her male protagonists. Even if they are like devils, readers eventually fall in love with them. Yash Verma is more ruthless than any other Devils of MV Kasi & u will be intrigued by his dark side.

- U will undoubtedly fall in love with Narmada. Overall MV Kasi u have rocked it 👍

Over all a good read... Not to gripping and not too bore...just a timepass novel... offcourse there are several intimate scenes which offcourse are very elaborate and unwanted at times... But then its M V Kasi book what else one should expect from it...The book is deliberately elongated... The matter is not that vast which would need 300+ pages and also it's very predictable... I have already guessed two of the major twists of the book... Also that might be the reason why i didn't like it much.
The book starts with narmada a widow sleeps with a stranger and keeps on dreaming of him for month on wards. Later she discovers that the stranger has slept with her with a motive. Her father in law has put a chastity clause in her company (now who the hell puts such idiotic Clause in company) so now according to that clause her shares of the company are taken back and are sold to the stranger Yash Varma. Which was his plan. Narmada was dishelved but was Adamant in taking her company back. In process she is supposedly should hate yash for his deeds but was in love with him or to be precise was carving for his touch ... And same was the condition od yash... Yash has bigger motive to deceive Narmada... He and his 2 brothers were seeking revenge from Narmadas Father in law.. for killing their father. It was revealed lateron that yash Varma is yashwant vardhaman(i have guessed it way b4 it is revealed) Yash for his revenge agrees to marry Narmadas sister in law... To save her sister in law narmada us constantly trying to seduce Yash to make him agreey to marry her instead of her sister in law... Which is dragged way too long by the author.

At the end all the air is cleared and yash n Narmada are married and her father in law wad killed. The book is first part of tri series...

My Rating: 🌟🌟🌟🌟1/2
Type: Contemporary Romance Fiction
Primary Characters: Narmada & Yash
Narration: Limited third party

Kasi’s books have always been a wonderful entertainer. When I saw the early release alert and read the blurb, I was ready to unearth this box and see what’s in store. This book exceeded my expectation. It was a relaxed delightful light entertainer.

Even though title suggest its dark, I didn’t see any amount of darkness in that. This book starts exactly as described in blurb. Narmada has built a company with her late husband. To keep company to herself, she has to keep up with Chastity clause. A night of passion with the darkly handsome stranger is supposed to be her secret. Now after a month, she is introduced to him as her company’s new owner.

She hates him with every fiber of her being for using her to get her company. She is smart, sensitive, matured and exuberant girl. Yash is more of silent, brooding type. He is neither totally black nor white, which is always good. Narmada is aware that Yash has ulterior motive other than taking her company. What is his ultimate motive? How will that affect Narmada’s life and family? Is she ready to pay the price?

Author has done an awesome job of describing lead characters’ emotions in her writing, from lust to anger- its portrayed well. I liked how Narmada acts matured and doesn’t give in or think only with libido. She understands the power she holds and uses it well. The only thing I disliked is some initial chapters of lead characters one meeting instance which was repetitively told in different POV. The majority of the book is predictable, but still the plot captures your attention till the very end. Language is nice and simple. I liked some of the secondary characters. Supriya is amazing. Aryan and Bhargava are intriguing.

Overall a gripping tale of love in her own unique style. If you are in mood for Indian Romance, then pick it up and enjoy.

Dark yet Enchanting 🔥😈❤️

Mesmerized by yet another marvelous work of the author. Haven't been disappointed by the author till date which makes me eager for every upcoming book.
It's a Passionate Romance with enough thrill which had me on tenterhooks from beginning to end.
I was curious to skip the pages but, was engrossed in the story so much that couldn't skip a single line.
Yash is a force to be reckoned with... He is no Prince charming yet you fall in love with him coz who can resist the Devil? Especially one with a golden heart.
On the other hand, Narmada is fierce and strong, passionate and caring.
It's like fire clashing with water... There are several deception's with attraction and a lot of hidden secrets.
Cannot wait for Bhargav and Aryan's stories.😊
It's an amazing read and would absolutely recommend to anyone interested in romance with lots of thrill to read.😁

Superbly written and beautifully crafted

Wow, such an amazing story. Enemies can be clearly dangerous when it comes to revenge but at the same time if the enemies are in love, no one can keep them apart.
Yash and Nandini, made for each other but separated by circumstances and later surrounded by horrible past. Yet they met but the circumstances never allowed them to enjoy the infatuation between them, untill Milan happened.
How they achieved their love and revenge is something worth to read.
Author has done a great job in writing such an interesting story. Now I m eagerly waiting to read the story of other handsome men of verma family. And the suspense behind the verma family estate.
Recommend.

Pretty good. It had all the elements that made each chapter interesting. I wanted to finish the entire series in one go. Yash seems more ruthless than Bhargav. I liked how Narmada was like a dog with a bone when it came to going after something she is convinced about. The first few chapters had no H’s POV. I had to wait until I finished a considerable amount of chapters to reach H’s POV. Overall, the book kept me hooked. I loved the epilogue. Overall, I loved the book. It was beautifully written. It had its fair share of humor.

I like M V Kasi. I have read all her books. I enjoyed this one too, just that, at times I felt it was too humiliating for the female character. With her fierce personality, a bit of self respect would have made it better. Overall, a good read and you will enjoy it. Recommend. I hope the stories of Yash’s brother are coming up soon :)

3.5 Stars.

Narrated in Third Person Dual POV and a Standalone with No Cliffahnger.

“You weren’t a part of my plan. But I can’t fucking breathe without you.”

I loved the story and was hooked from the begging till the end and finished it in a single sitting. Just the use of full names repetitively was tiresome.

Must read

A nice story different from other reads. It kept me stick to the book until I finished. I have read many of M.V. Kasi novels and all of them are awesome. The way the feelings of the characters in the novel is described is beautiful. I can imagine everything like a movie in my mind.

Boring. It was a clusterfuck. Nothing is executed nicely. MCs don’t have any chemistry between them. It’s just lust. Then entire book is how FMC tries to seduce MMC into marrying her and giving her company back to her but those were like poorest attempts of seduction. Then she ditches him on the wedding day and then there’s fiasco with hero getting shot and bla bla .. a total waste of time.

Smelt the plot twist from a mile away 😢

Enjoyable & quick read. Nothing outstanding. Definitely not a slow burn romance. Unfortunately, I didn't feel the chemistry between the characters until a little later on, which kind of bugged me a bit.

Great palate cleanser between books 📚
