A Fairy Awesome Story #4

Fairy, Fairy, Quite Contrary

Rate this book
For those of you just joining us, the King is dead and I'm basically Queen. I say basically because there's still the pesky little matter of me needing to be crowned, and then merged with the magic of Fay. No big deal, right? Wrong! There's just one problem; the UnSeelie are still in control of the capital, and I have to be crowned inside the palace, so basically we're utterly screwed.

Ell's boys, along with Prince Lucas narrowly escaped the battle of the Summer Court, and now they're in hiding. Again. And when infighting gets in the way of planning their next move, Ell and her boys decide to bail. They don't get far though before they're reunited with the very people they set off to find. And now that they finally know their next move, they set off on an epic trek to the far side of Fay to meet a King no one has ever heard of. The bad news is Ell isn't sure if he's friend or foe.

Join Ell and her sex-slaves as they take the next step in their fairy awesome journey.

A Fairy Awesome Series is a Fantasy, Reverse-harem, where Ell collects men/fairies as the series progresses.

My husband and I live in Texas where we raise our three amazing, yet crazy boys.

Writing has been my passion since I was in my teens, but I was never able to commit to it full time until 2020.

In the past I had the opportunity to work as a newspaper columnist for two different newspapers, but my heart was always in fiction.

I have a fun, 6 book, complete series out now on Amazon, and also available at Walmart. Check out A Fairy Awesome Series.

Fairy, Fairy, Quite Contrary is the fourth book in A Fairy Awesome Series by Ellie Aiden. This book is a continuation of the medium burn, reverse harem, fantasy series A Fairy Awesome Series. Ellie has managed to thoroughly captivate me with the fictional world of Fay and her hilarious, witty, multi-dimensional characters.

This book starts off with Ell technically becoming Queen of Fay and fleeing the castle to save her life. Ell fights her attraction to Prince Lucas while her group of people (Ell’s three boyfriends, her best friend, and Prince Lucas) makes their way to find an unknown King and ask him for aid in defeating the UnSeelie.

Fairy, Fairy, Quite Contrary is filled with so many twists and turns, it completely shocked me. Ellie Aiden has managed to keep each book in the series refreshing and different while progressing the underlying plot of the book and the series. This is my favorite book in the series, as we see more action, more steaminess, and conflict that was completely unexpected. I loved all the unique characters in this book and Ell’s snarky, sassy, and witty nature has made her my favorite, but this book had me reconsidering Ell’s status as my favorite book. Each book ends on a cliffhanger and this one has me eager to read the next book in the series and find out what happens with Ell and her boys!

Mind Blown...

This book in A Fairy Awesome Series takes a dramatic turn that I certainly wasn't expecting. Sure they've been fighting to stop the UnSeelie King, but other than that, things between Ell and her boys have been peachy, which is why I wasn't ready. I won't include any spoilers, but let's just say, you should probably prepare yourself!!

As hard as it is for me to say this, because I loved the first three books, this one was my favorite. There was more action, and also, Ell doesn't get kidnapped in this one, and I was worried she would. It's kinda her thing. It made this book much more unique, and I felt like it went beyond the normal light and airy approach that the other books have focused on. Much more drama.

Ell is really starting to grow up too, despite some poor life choices in this book. Even though I love her snarky, and sometimes bratty attitude, it could be annoying at times, so I was glad to see her maturing in this book.

Once again, Ellie Aiden hits it out of the park (HaHa, sports reference) This is hands down a 5 star read, and I more than recommend.

What just happened?

That's all that was going through my mind when I finished this book. Like holy hell, Ellie Aiden, how you gonna do me that way?

This is #4 in A Fairy Awesome Series, and to say these books are ramping up would be an understatement. Ell and her boys have narrowly escaped the Summer Court, and with them, they have a somewhat unwelcomed guest. Well, he isn't totally unwelcome. Ell is having mixed feelings about Prince Lucas, but Ari knows exactly how he feels. He loathes him, on the deepest level. Things are only made worse when they finally get the next little tid-bit from Helga, and now they are headed to the far side of Fay, in search of a King no one has ever heard of.

This installment of AFAS has some great additions. The new characters were unexpected, and they really added to the dynamic. Plus, Unicorns, oh my. Yes, please.

Ellie Aiden is a phenomenal artist, and each time I pick up one of her books, I'm totally immersed and can't stand to put it down. Plus, the sex scenes are legit.

Once again, I have zero problems doling out 5 stars. Can't wait for the next installment.

Fairy, fairy, quite contrary … how does your harem grow?

I obtained an ARC of Fairy, Fairy, Quite Contrary in return for an honest review. As the fourth part in the series, it continues where part three left off, as Ell escapes from the battlefield where she’s fighting to keep the Seelie kingdom intact against the UnSeelie forces of King Tobin.

It’s book four, and Princess Ell is now Queen in waiting, and waiting certainly isn’t one of Ell’s strengths … especially when it comes to Her Majesty’s pleasure. Much of this episode focuses on how Ell goes in search of military reinforcements, as well as accumulating additions to her harem to fulfil her seemingly insatiable appetite. Once again, Ellie Aiden has served up a delicious treat.

If you loved the first three books, you will love this one … and if you haven’t tried them, you should. (Caution: 18+ hilarious content)

This book is #4 in the "A Fairy Awesome Series"

Although this is a fantasy book it also contains RH (Reverse Harem)

Ell and her boys (sex slaves) escaped the summer court but they also have a new person to add which is Prince Lucas. We as the readers can probably gauge how this is going to go but as for Ell the MC she doesn't know how to take Lucas or know what exactly it is that she feels for him.

They are on their way to meet a King they have never heard of and that makes for things to be quite interesting.

There are a lot of sex scenes in this book which let's be honest that is fantastic!

I can't wait to continue this series and I didn't want to write too much and give away what the plot of this book is. All I know is if you love Fantasy and RH definitely pick up this series!!

***I obtained an ARC of Fairy, Fairy, Quite Contrary in return for an honest review.***

Read the last chapter in record time, closed the book, took my jaw from the ground where it had fallen...
That ending was spectacular in the most plot twisty way ever. When you are at the fourth book of a series there is always a chance that it becomes repetitive, but this ending was so different that I need the next book now!

We begin where the last book ended, with Ell and her boys escaping from the Summer Court with Prince Lucas. When they are in hiding, there is so much stupid, masculinity filled fighting within the group that they are going nowhere.
When they finally know their next move, they set off on a trek to the far side of Fay to meet a King no one has ever heard of, to a hidden kingdom that they might never find. The bad news is Ell isn't sure if he's friend or foe.

I wasn't ready for the ending of this book. I won't include any spoilers, but let's just say, you should probably prepare yourself!

From all the previous books, I liked this one the best! It was more action driven this time AND Ell doesn't get kidnapped (it was kind of her thing to be kidnapped so not being kidnapped is new and fresh). It made this book stand out so much more than the others due to the uniqueness of it.

In the other books I was sometimes annoyed by how Ell reacted and the pity tantrums that she throws when she didn't get what she wanted. Let me tell you, Ell grows up in this book. She still has her snarky comments and can think like a brat but in a good way. She has matured, as you can expect from a future queen.

I loved the other POV, especially from the prince. It gave us so much more insight in the characters and in their actions. Without it I would be lost in some of the boys' actions.

I had some questions at the end of the book, but they will be answered in the next one (confirmed by the author herself) so I don't have really much negative to say about this book.

Ellie Aiden really switched it up with this book in the best way possible. She knows when to drop a bomb to makes us even more curious for the next book in the series. This is hands down a 4.75 star read, and I more than recommend it.

My favorite so far!

Yes, I said it. This one has been my favorite to date. How can you go wrong with a prince, a king, and freaking unicorns. Seriusly, I'm in love. Also, loved that the relationship with Prince Lucas isn't an insta all in. It's hard, like most relationships. Mistakes are made. On both sides, which made it almost more realistic than the others.

Can't wait for book 5

This book released yesterday, and I thought, I'll just read a couple chapters before bed so I can see where this one starts off. I figured I would finish it this weekend, but instead, I picked it up last night and didn't put it down.

Book #4, like the others, is filled with hysterical one-liners, but this book, unlike the others felt more developed, and rather than seeming to have one big finale, it had more drama and action throughout the book. On top of that, Prince Lucas has created a whole new dynamic in the group, and I had assumed at the beginning of this book, something would happen and he would miraculously fit right in. That's what I was expecting and that is so not what happened. My jaw was on the floor for the final chapter. I love the direction this story took because it was totally unexpected, given the feel of the last 3 books in the series.

This book gave me a wide range of emotions. I laughed, I cried, I was angry, and I couldn't ask for more than that. The first 3 books, while excellent, felt almost expected. This book had a lot more depth. Instead of just being a fun, funny read, it felt more like a drama/adventure novel, which was refreshing.

I enjoyed this one the most out of the 4 so far, and I hate that I have to wait for the next book to come out. I highly recommend this series if you are into reverse-harems, comedy, witty MC's, romance, and/or fantasy/fairies.

Damnnnnnn...

I could seriously leave the review with that one, drawn out word. This series is great in general, but Fairy, Fairy, Quite Contrary takes the series to all new heights in more ways than one.

Yes, there's more action. Sure, there's more adventure. Okay, there's more sex. But the ending had me like whoa. Seriously, none of the other books ended like this one, and I lost my mind when I read the last chapter.

This is one of those series that I'm sitting here wondering why the book only has 16 reviews on Amazon. Seriously should be a best seller, and if the author wasn't Self-published, it would be.

This was the easiest 5 star I've ever given to a reverse-harem.

I don't know how but these books get better every time. I couldn't put it down. This one really brings the action, and some super cool, unexpected moments. Ell always has me cracking up, and there's plenty of heat, too. Without posting spoilers, there's some drama in our group as well, and I can't wait to read the next book. And let me say I am more than intrigued by the new development at the end. Five stars for sure.

Best of the series for sure, and it seems like that's how everyone felt. I was definitely looking forward to this one, more so than the others. The last chapter leaves you an emotional cliffhanger, and I hate waiting. Unfortunately, book 5 hasn't released yet, and I haven't seen when it will. I guess the author did a good job that I'm impatiently waiting to see what will happen in the next book.

BETTER THAN THE REST... (NOT REAL SPOILERS, BUT MAYBE SOME HINTS)

Yes, I said it, this installment in A Fairy Awesome Series was by far better than the first 3. I'm not saying they weren't good, I'm just saying this one was better.

What made it better for me were all the unexpected elements. I was expecting Prince Lucas to either turn out to be a bad guy, or magically fit right in with the group, and neither of those things happened. I was also expecting Ell to get kidnapped, and again, I was surprised by the actual storyline.

I read a couple other reviews on this book, and consistantly everyone agrees, the last chapter is legit. I wasn't ready for it to end, and I kept stopping to take a breath because I knew there couldn't be that many pages left, which meant it was about to end on a cliffhanger. Those of you that hate cliffhangers, know that it isn't a hard hanger, more of a lead up to book #5. Which doesn't come out until May BTW, which sucks because I don't think I can wait that long to see what happened between Ell and her men.

If you are someone that didn't care for book #1 because it was a little slow and didn't have a lot of action, hang in there. These books get progressively better.

Shut the front door...

Okay, I'm gonna be honest, I wasn't ready for the last chapter. Not just because I didn't want the book to end and then have to wait for the next to release, but also, damn. Seriously, I never saw the ending coming. Up to this point, despite all the crazy, Ell and her men have had a fairly perfect relationship, so it was shocking to see the rocky road that is Prince Lucas. It really changed up the dynamic, which I appreciated.

The MC in this series is so fun and witty, and I can just imagine her as best friend material. Sure she can be a brat, but she's funny as shit.

I legit read this on release day! Could not put it down.

This was actually 4.75 stars, rounded up to 5.

Read it in 1 go on release day...that's how good it was.

Phenomenal. Better than the 1st three books combined.

Ell had a habit of getting kidnapped, so book #4 was refreshing. Not to mention, the conflict Prince Lucas brings to the table, added a dynamic that wasn't present in the last 3 books. I enjoyed that because up to this point, it seemed like there would be no conflict in her relationships, and that just isn't realistic, so I was glad the author to the books in this direction.

This is a series I wish I had waited to start once all the books had been released because I'm dying over here waiting for the next. For real!

I love how this series is developing and Queen Elle's journey through the land of fae, learning the real truth about her people and the laws of the land, and how some social norms she's suffered under are not the whole truth, while battling the twisted unseelie plot to create a new realm has been so much fun to read. I love the colourful cast of characters and how Elle's posse keeps on growing. It's a good fun reverse-harem with a plot that drives everything forward with nail-biting twists and unexpected moments. Aiden's style is crisp and thoroughly enjoyable.

I received an ARC of this book for an honest review.

Book 4 in AFAS !🧚‍♀️
Now that Ell is Queen - everyone’s main mission is to keep her protected.

I feel that as the books progress, Ell is growing up. Shes spunky as ever, but she’s also finding herself. Plus, the men just keep getting hotter 😉🔥

Such a fun & steamy series to read. Can’t wait for the next one.

I enjoy the reading not just because it is really good plot. It had all the ingredients that needed it to be a good story. Even if the main character is not the typical brave manly man hero.

Hands down, the best of the series...

This has been one of my favorite series I've ever read. My wife started the first one, and roped me in. I wasn't looking forward to it because it's totally outside what I would normally read. But once I got started, I was so glad I did.

This is one of the only series I've read where I spent just as much time laughing out loud, as I do being on the edge of my seat wondering what's going to happen next.

Ellie Aiden is a phenomenal author, and it shows in this series.

There's a big twist in this one that I never imagined, and it's the reason book #4 is in the lead as my favorite. I can't wait to read book #5.

Seems like my thoughts are in line with most, this one is the best of the series so far. If you can ignore Ell being a brat in the first 2 books, because she's young and needs to grow up, this is an super fun read!

Princess Ell is back and ready to kick some serious butt in the fourth instalment Fairy, Fairy, Quite Contrary. The King has been killed by the UnSeelie and they have taken over the capital which sucks because Ell kinda needs to be crowned Queen.

So I just want to start off by saying a big screw you Ari (sticks middle finger up). You don’t get to tell us who we love!!! Because I absolutely love Prince Lucas and his beautiful merman self.

Okay now that’s out of the way I have to say that this was another fantastic addition to the series. I am so glad that Ell is back with her sassy mouth, hilarious phrases and her keen sense of adventure. I have to say that the guys really chipped away at my patience in this book especially with the way they treated Lucas and Ell at certain times.

As always this was an intense, fun, interesting and absolutely hilarious story. I may or may not have secretly really enjoyed the ending (insert evil laugh here).

I recieved an advanced copy for free, and this is my honest opinion.
