This is a Cowboy Romance, and this is the 4th book in the Gold Valley Vineyards series. I have read and review the other books in this series before reading this book. I have to say I really loved this book, and I could not put it down. I read this book in one sitting because I was so pulled into the story. I have also read the Gold Valley series, and there are some of the side characters in this book that is from the Gold Valley series. You do not have to read the Gold Valley or the Gold Valley Vineyards, but I think you would understand Jericho's backstory a lot more if you have read the Gold Valley series before picking up this book. I loved Honey's character so much. I have to say the beginning of this book was not the best, but after it gets going I fell in love with this book. The ending was ok. The best part of this book is the middle There is steamy, funny, and caring parts of this book. I was kindly provided an e-copy of this book by the publisher (Harlequin Desire) or author (Maisey Yates) via NetGalley, so I can give an honest review about how I feel about this book. I want to send a big Thank you to them for that.

Honey Cooper has had a crush on Jericho forever, but he’s never treated her like anything but a bratty younger sister. He’s frustrating and arrogant and they do nothing but lock horns. Now Jericho’s gone and bought the family winery out from her. Honey’s angry and hurt with both her father and Jericho. Her father didn’t even consult her and that smarts, so she’s moving on with a new job and in her personal life. She’s packed and ready to go, but a snowstorm throws a wrench into her plans, stranding her with Jericho in an off-the-grid cabin. Let the fun begin!

Jericho has always noticed Honey, but she’s off limits being the little sister of his best friends and her father, a man who’s treated him like a son. They took him in as family when his mother died. Although, he’s never had brotherly feelings for Honey. It’s a shock that she’s leaving and has plans to carry on with another man. It brings out a strong jealous, possessive streak and the sparks fly!

I just love a forced proximity situation! Being snowed in a winter wonderland sounded dreamy to me. It’s especially useful when a character is being pig-headed and won’t acknowledge what’s right in front of him. Thankfully, Jericho’s stupidity didn’t last for long. Being stuck with Honey brought all his feelings for her to the surface, impossible to ignore. Rancher’s Christmas Storm was a fun combination of unrequited love, enemies-to-lovers, nudged along by a stuck-together-snowed-in situation, and I enjoyed every minute!

A copy was kindly provided by Harlequin Desire via Netgalley in exchange for an honest review.

Rancher's Christmas Storm was an enjoyable read featuring a romance set at Christmastime.

Honey Cooper is done with Gold Valley and Cowboy Wines after her father sold the family winery out from under her to rancher Jericho Smith. With a plan to move to Oregon before the holidays, Honey embarks on her journey only for her truck to break down an hour outside of town. When a passing motorist stops, Honey is relieved for the help only for her rescuer to be the very man she was trying to escape from. After a snowstorm stops the pair's journey, Honey and Jericho take refuge in a cabin where the attraction between them threatens to consume them both.

Honey has known Jericho for years as her family took him in after his mother's death when he was sixteen. Their relationship has become fairly antagonistic with a lot of bickering between them that was in large part due to the attraction between them that neither of them wanted to face. I did find the bickering to be a bit much at times and I wish their conversations had been more bantery instead. The time the two were stuck together at the cabin was my favorite section as forced proximity is a trope I really enjoy. The tension that builds between them is great and I liked when they finally gave in to their attraction. Add in the fact they claimed their affair would only last as long as they were at the cabin and I was just waiting for them to catch feelings. My biggest issue with the pair's romance was the Jericho said some crappy things to Honey that I felt he got away with too easily. I wanted more of a grovel from him at the end to make up for that and while he apologized, the scene was missing something for me.

Overall Rancher's Christmas Storm was a nice conclusion to the series and I would recommend these books if you're reading the main Gold Valley series.

I’m always here for a Maisey book, so I don’t even read the synopsis any more.

I liked Honey and Jericho well enough. They bicker like crazy, but eventually they actually started listening and having real conversations. It was extra delightful to see some of the previous characters and how they all interacted.

Plot wise, it was okay. I’m always wanting more with novellas and this was no exception. Especially since it seemed like 90% of this book was inner monologue. Jericho said some pretty crap things and I wanted a lot more groveling. Or you know, any amount of groveling.

Overall, it was a quick read with characters who were easy to get invested in. I look forward to whatever Maisey puts out next.

This is a wonderful story about two people who have been struggling with emotions of varying degrees for years. Christmas has always been a time for hope and redemption, so maybe, just maybe, Jericho and Honey can finally open up to their true feelings and act on them.

When Honey's family took in Jericho when he was 16, she had a huge crush on him but since she was so much younger, she never once thought that he'd ever notice her except as a "sister". She's always felt like she didn't belong and no one understood or listened to her. When she and Jericho end up stranded in a snowstorm and they can no longer resist temptation, years of suppressed emotions come out. This story will definitely tug at your heartstrings.

I received an ARC of this book via NetGalley and I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Turn up the heat for Christmas!

Honey has been crushing on family friend Jericho for most of her life, but when he buys her family’s winery out from under her, she’s at her wit’s end and is packing up to start a new life elsewhere. Until her truck strands her on the side of the road with a blizzard on its way.

Jericho knows he has to keep his attraction to Honey on lockdown, but when he sees her truck on the road as he’s heading toward an uncomfortable family reunion for Christmas, he’s not prepared for the storm that’s headed his way.

Stuck on an impassable road, they take shelter in a nearby cabin retreat and start to work through the unavoidable issues that stand between them. The forced proximity trope has never been done better, with these two generating enough heat to melt all the snow for miles around. Is it still arrogance if it’s the truth?

As much fun as those scenes were (and they were, trust me!), the real heart of the story kicks into high gear when they get back on the road and head to the Dalton’s for a Christmas with the father Jericho never knew, along with a slew of relatives whose similar experiences have forged a strong familial bond before they’ve ever met.

The singular beauty in this book is the way the author draws us into the depths of Jericho’s and Honey’s hearts, facing head-on all the trauma and heartbreak they’ve already endured and showing us how they find healing through the love of their families and the love they’ve found for each other. If you don’t tear up, just a little, then you need to get your own heart examined.

This author never leaves us hanging without a strong, satisfying HEA, and we also get a sweet look into the future for this dynamic couple. I loved every bit of this wondrous story, and I highly recommend it for anyone who loves cowboy romances. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

I’ll never say no to a Maisey Yates book and this one supports my reasoning. She just knows how to write a kinda trashy, kinda romantically story!
This is the 4th book in the series, though having read them all, you could easily read each one as a stand-alone, especially this one because there’s not a whole lot of backstory involved that wasn’t referenced to in the book. Jericho and Honey have been at odds even though they’re family is close-Jericho is her brother’s best friend. After her father sells the winery to Jericho instead of letting Honey have it, she decides she gonna move away from her family and start over on her own. When she leaves, a massive snow storm hits and her car breaks down in the middle of nowhere. Thankfully, Jericho happens to come along and rescued her, but they are stuck there because the roads are so bad. They wander a bit and find an unused B&B so they decide to ride out the storm there. While locked in together, they admit their true feeling for each other and being secluded helps to fuel their connection. Let the steam begin!
If you’re a fan of the enemies to lovers trope, grab this one asap!
Thanks to Harlequin Desire and Netgalley for this Arc in exchange for my review.

Major Plot spoilers ahead. Read at your own risk

ONCE AGAIN MAJOR PLOT SPOILERS AHEAD, THIS IS YOUR FINAL WARNING

Review:

This was one of the better Desire books written by Maisey Yates, though I still wished that it was a longer. What really put this over the top was not only the romance, but there was a final piece in the puzzle that finally came to light that had been setup in the Gold Valley series with the HQN imprint. I was so happy it was in here and tickled me pink. I didn’t even know that it was even going to be revealed in here. I hadn’t a clue or any guesses that this going to come to fruition. I just knew in the Gold Valley there was still this unanswered question that had yet to be answered, and I thought it was going to be dropped because Gold Valley storyline had moved on from that point. I was disappointed, but hoped that one day that answered would be revealed later down the line like many years, but surprise, surprise it happened in this one. To say I was shocked and had to read the sentence a couple of times at the start of the book to see if I was reading it right. I was, and just had a mind blowing moment. It just made me hope that certain interactions were going to happen between individuals in the story, making me very interested and invested as I continued on reading especially after having been involved in this storyline for years upon years and book upon book.

Those interactions did happen. It made me so happy because things really came together. It was with the backdrop of family and Christmas, which was amazing. The only thing was I wanted more. It made me crave more of seeing these interaction in future stories. I would love to see relationships grow, develop, and heal. I would love to see expansion in families. I would love if there were novellas just with little check ins or something because I just want to see everyone be okay. There was a taste of that here, but in my opinion it wasn’t enough. I just want more and hope that someday there might be a second generation where the family will make appearances in the future. Maisey Yates is doing it for Copper Ridge so why not Gold Valley . One can only hope.

As for the romance, it had some of the great stable tropes that Maisey Yates plays with so well hence why I love her as an author. This had brother’s best friend, unrequited love, forced proximity, one bed trope, and Christmas. What could go wrong with those tropes? Nothing because it played out as another emotional and passionate love story between Jericho and Honey. Their romance were teased in previous books in this mini series so I was ready to see the sparks between these two.

There was a lot of heat from page one because Honey was so passionately mad at Jericho for what she thought was him taking the ranch away from her and combine with the fact that she had all these passionate feelings for him just really added to an explosion. In the beginning, they were just butting heads and having “fights” that really only was a facade to the passion that they felt for each other. It got a bit steamy and was very much foreplay between them.

In typical Christmas romance fashion, the two of them got stuck in a cabin due to a major snow storm. Things just took off from there with lots of anticipation and tension as they navigated around each other in this space. They had some open and honest bouts of communication too that revealed hurts as well as the feelings they had for one another. It really made them connect in every way possible because of that. Plus they did some sweet Christmassy things together that were very romantic, yet sexy at the same time. Fireplace scene, yes, yes and yes.

The love scenes between them were pretty spicy. After all that built up tension between them for years upon years, the explosion was pretty big. They had great moments of pleasure yet connection between them because they knew that what they had was special between them. It was very intense and emotional. It just worked on every level for me.

Admittedly Honey wasn’t my favorite heroine. Even though it was explained of why she acted the way she did, she came off a little harsh and brash. It was a little bit of a turn off. Personally it was a little bit too much cursing on her end. Again I understand why, but for whatever reason it just rubbed me the wrong way in this particular story. I have read harsher Maisey Yates heroines in the past, but I think because those heroines were presented in longer books I got more of a chance to get to know them and understand them and just see their transformation in a natural way then I didn’t mind it. But in this book it had to get to the point and the transformation was quicker so she was just a lot in the beginning in my opinion.

Even though Honey and Jericho aren’t my favorite Maisey Yates couple of all time, they were my favorite couple out of this Gold Valley Vineyards mini series. As I said before, I did wish it was longer just to get more depth, but I did feel like it did a good job in establishing the relationship between them as well as the emotions that went along with that. There was the forbidden element with him being her brother’s best friend that I really enjoyed as he struggled whether to be with her or not, which increased the tension between them. I loved that. I felt her longing for him, adding another layer of conflict. Plus there was great Christmas moments as they were trapped together. I enjoyed them finally coming to a head with everything.

Overall I enjoyed myself. It had all the good romance tropes that I love and adore, which in turn kept me invested in the story. It was a great markings of a Maisey Yates romance. What I enjoyed most though was finally getting one of the storylines from Gold Valley finally tied up in a neat little bow with a satisfying conclusion. I was hopping from learning the information that we would see appearance from some fan favorite couples and characters. I was so happy there was and to see those interactions happen especially during the Christmas season. It made me want to see more of those interactions happen in the future. That part of the story blew me away and made me love this story so much because that was in there. After being invested in that storyline for so long, I was happy it finally all put out there. After learning the truth now, it makes me want to go back and reread the previous stories just to revisit these characters again. For that alone this was just a great read, and I was satisfied with the romance between Honey and Jericho so it was a win for me.

I seem to be on an unpopular opinion kick, so let me add one more. I did not enjoy this at all. I felt the writing was clumsy and repetitive. It could have been half as long (and it was already short) and still been the same story. The MCs are both childish, despite the H (Jericho) supposedly being 34 and Honey being about 10 years younger (don’t get me started on the eew-factor with that, considering the family dynamics). Honey’s obsession with her virginity was nauseating and if I had to read her talk about losing it one more time, I was going to set the book on fire. Clearly, this was not a good fit for the style of romance I prefer, so I will be avoiding other books by this author and probably also avoiding “cowboy romance”.

Very holiday feel for the cover, and the blurb looked fun. This was a cute romance with a wonderful message.

What did I like? I enjoyed the romance feel of the book as Honey and Jericho were stranded together. Sometimes close quarters can help you sort out feelings these two had been holding onto. Lovely read with a nice HEA.

Would I recommend or buy? I’ve bought tons of these cute romances over the years. They delight as well as uplift your spirits. I would recommend this to anyone loving romance. Four stars!

We follow a woman who is upset that her father sold their family business to a family friend rather than asking her if she wanted it. The family friend is about 8 years older and her brothers best friend. They end up stranded in a snow storm and find an off the grid cabin to stay in until the storm passes. Their they admit feelings for one another and decide to have fun while they are staying in the cabin then will go back to how things were before when they can leave. The story goes from there.

This is a short romance that takes place over the course of a week. It has tropes of brothers best friend , age gap, friends to lovers, one bed, and forced proximity. They all work really well together. On top of the romance both characters have family trauma/Bagade that they are dealing with. Had this been longer and those elements been explored more I think this would have been excellent. But there was almost too much the characters were dealing with to see any character growth in such a short book. I would recommend for a snowy holiday read. One could easily get through this in a day and the writing is good.

This a cozy hot snowy romance with some rougher pasts around the edges of the story. I would recommend. I also read this as a stand alone, I have not read the other books in the series and I don't believe you need to in order to enjoy the book.

Forced proximity.

I really like Maisey Yates and this book delivers on all the tropes. Forced proximity (trapped in a cabin during a snow storm, they must stay warm). Best friends' sister (of course). Jericho did a bad, bad thing (you know it). Like that's the thing that I couldn't get past (the point of contention). Poor Honey. Maisey, did you not like Honey?
But its Christmas. So....

Recommend.

I really enjoyed Honey and Jerico's story. Friends and like family forever. They get caught in a snowstorm and their true feelings are revealed while being showed in for 3 days in a cabin. I liked the return of characters from previous books. Good ending!

I enjoyed this book. I love Maiden Yates, she is one of my favorite authors. I have to say that there was a!It of hanky penny in this book and being the old lady prude that I am, I skipped over those parts. I enjoyed this book anyways and would recommend it.

Thank you Harlequin and Netgalley For allowing me to read this book for an honest review.

Respectfully, no.

22-year-old Honey Cooper deserves MUCH BETTER than a 34-year-old man child who has known her since she was FOUR and literally HELPED RAISE HER and yet somehow has THOUGHT SHE WAS HOT FOR A LONG TIME NOW AND IS OBSESSED WITH HER VIRGINITY.

I dunno man, this one just gave ALL the wrong vibes.

Special shoutout to "areolas the color of her name," which is one of the worst things I've ever read.

For as long as I've read romance novels, Harlequin has always been the corner stone of the genre for me.... maybe that's because that giant box inside the attic of forbidden 90s romance? Well, a great deal of them were Harlequin.... Therefore, this publisher will always hold a place in my heart.

Blurb: Jericho Smith has known Honey Cooper nearly all his life, and has admired her for nearly that long too. But these days, he isn't her favorite person.... that might be because he managed to buy her family winery right out from under her.... or maybe it's the fact he hides his attraction for her under the guise of friendship. Honey Cooper has had a crush on Jericho Smith for as long she can remember. But, somewhere along the way, that teenage crush has turned into a mixture of lust, annoyance, and jealousy. However, if they can both manage some open, honest communication, they might be able to find love this Christmas.

As mentioned, what originally drew me to this particular book was the Harlequin publishing label (I'm a sucker for a Harlequin novel)... they're a guaranteed short snappy love story with a guaranteed HEA. Honestly, sometimes that's all you want. As for this book, each novel is a stand alone, but if you really want to know the other characters, it maybe helpful to read the other books that are related. Honey, was a harsher character (there is an explanation for this), but I consider her a more "unlikable heroine"... mostly because she has really selfish moments in regards to Jericho. However, near the end of the novel... she really grows as a person, I am able to forgive her. One thing that really annoyed me (one of the reasons I'm giving this book three stars), is the instant forgiveness she gives Jericho. Jericho said some really awful things to her, and really invalidated her as an adult... so I kind of wanted a groveling moment.

I know I've mentioned it before but the I'm one of the few romance fans, who doesn't always love the enemies to lovers romance trope... mostly because it makes me question the sincerity of the relationship with all the constant fighting. That being said, these two have known each other since childhood, so I genuinely believe their connection (and I love the forced proximity trop, which is another element present in this novel).

Overall, I recommend this book if you're looking for a quick Christmas read with family elements, and a dash of angst thrown in! I want to thank Harlequin, Netgalley, and Masiey Yates for an ARC copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

The first Christmas story if the year for me. Honey has been in love with Jericho for a very long time. He is older than her and her brothers are his best friends. A pissed off Honey prepares to leave the winery that her dad sold to Jericho without asking her. A winter storm gets in the way but leads to big sparks between the two! A must read to see how hurts of the same kind d can bring people together.

Honey Cooper - Cannot believe that her father didn't even bother to discuss the vineyard & the selling of it before handing it off to Jericho Smith. Honey has decided that it's time to leave Gold Valley Vineyards. Since she is pretty much invisible to her family, including her brother & his wife, along with dad who is interested in a rich woman in town. This is her chance to pack up & leave, no need to stay for Christmas since family just left her out in the decision making when it came to her father deciding to sell the vineyard to her brother's best friend. Jericho, basically grew up with her family when his mother died. He is like an adopted member of the family. Obviously, his opinion & purchase meant more than the only blood daughter in the family.

She might has well pack up & take the job that her online love interest offered up north to train horses. Oh & lose her virginity to Donavon. She refuses to be an employee on her family vineyard to Jericho Smith, who she has had a crush on since forever. But they butt heads, argue & she is well aware of his womanizing's ways, since she has watched over the years.

Rancher Jericho Smith has known Honey Cooper since they were kids—and she’s always been under his skin in ways he is not allowed to feel. By all accounts a woman he can’t touch… She’s his best friends’ little sister…
Jericho knows that Honey is resentful of the matter of the inheritance he bought out from under her. It’s a shock that she’s leaving & has plans to carry on with another man. It brings out a strong jealous, possessive streak and the sparks fly!
Jericho thinks it's best to bicker, nag & treat her like the little bratty sister he remembers growing up. That way he can Keep his hands to himself which is the smartest thing he can do.

Jericho thinks he can handle this while he goes to meet his newly acquainted father, & the other million children he created, he wants Honey to watch over the ranch & vineyard. That is when he finds out she has packed up her cabin, & heading out for good. He cannot believe it, & his arrogant behavior is that she cannot go. Honey being independent & sassy tells him who the Hell is he to tell her she cannot quit. Once Honey speaks her mind, the truth comes tumbling out of her mouth of her true intentions of taking this job. As well has her pain about not having the family legacy & she cannot run it as an employee, when she has lived their all her life.
Well, while opening her mouth about her new job up north. She mentions she new about the job based on the dating app she met this Donavon character. Which she accidently in her angry also admits she is intending to lose her virginity. More info that Jericho needs to know especially when he is so hot for Honey.

But instead he blurts out the absurdity of her decision & again orders her she cannot go. That only makes matters worse & Honey informs him it's his problem to have someone watch & supervisor the ranch. He is the owner now. She heads to the her packed up place to get ready to leave.
While Jericho has to take responsibility for taking care of the ranch during the holidays. I guess he cannot go to meet the family?

Jericho asks her older brother to watch over things on the property while he is headed out.
Honey has already started for her trip, until her truck breaks down, no Cell & a blizzard is just starting. My God she made the decision to pick up and leave & now she will die on the side of the road.
Guess who comes to her rescue. The one person she doesn't want to see. Jericho is headed in the same direction for that family Christmas reunion. She refuses his help until he says, that he will not let her die on the side of the road. Get in or he will force her into his truck.
He is headed to drop her to her destination until the blizzard, is getting worse & his truck has overheated. Now they are both trapped together by a holiday blizzard. This is not good for either one of them, & the emotions & passion they have hidden for so long. Being alone together in a vacation cabin out in nowhere land is just not a good idea.
Can Jericho & Honey handle being alone together in the rustic mountain retreat that he found in the forest where nothing but a fire and each other to keep warm. Now the storm inside has only just begun! Will they end up heating the sheets…in this Gold Valley Vineyards novel
I'll end this with what another reader wrote....(paraphrase)
I love that theses characters are into close quarters during this situation! Being snowed in a winter wonderland sounds steamy... Don't you agree? It’s definitely perfects for Jericho's character considering he is being pig-headed & won’t acknowledge what’s right in front of his face. Read the romance, & watch out for those hot, steamy love scenes.

Rancher's Christmas Storm is the 4th novel in Maisey Yates' Gold Valley Vineyards series and I absolutely loved it, and read it in one sitting, and yes, Ms. Yates made me cry again! It's another in her long string of 5-star reads.

Honey Cooper has wanted two things in her life, the first is ownership of Cowboy Vines, her famiy's vineyard and wine-making company, where she's worked as far back as she can remember, and the second is Jericho Smith, who came to live with her family after his mother's death when he was a teenager, became best friends with her brothers, and has treated her like a bratty teenager ever since. When Honey learns that her father sold the company to Jericho without ever even mentioning it or offering it to her, she feels angry, livid, betrayed, and devastated, and decides that since there will be no way to avoid Jericho, her now de facto boss, she meets a man on a dating app who offers her a job at his equine facility, and a relationship--finally a chance to lose her virginity and stop pining over a man who will never see her as a woman.

When Jericho asks her to mind the business during the Christmas holiday, she quits, tells him she's leaving, packs up and does just that--until her truck breaks down in the snow, she has no cell service to call for a tow truck, and it's 15 miles from the nearest possible habitation. Forty-five minutes later, along comes Jericho, the last person she wants to see. He finds them a vacant rental home in that woods that is off the grid but a place to hole up until the blizzard is over, and although the two bicker as they've always done, their enforced proximity leads to a whole lot of honesty and a lot more than friendship.

One of the reasons I so love this series, and this book in particular, is that there are only a handful of authors who do character development, strong emotions, snarky dialogue, and heart-wrenching angst like Maisey Yates, and she does it in this novel in spades--after all, what else is there to with two interesting characters holed up in a cabin for three days and cut off from the rest of the world?

If you're not already hooked on Ms. Yates' books, I suggest starting from the beginning of the Gold Valley series, because almost every character in the series appears in this novel, although Rancher's Christmas Storm can be read as a standalone, I think you'll find reading these novels in the order written will give you a deeper understanding of these families and characters. All I can say is that this novel was un-put-downable, and I highly recommend it.

I voluntarily read an advance reader copy of this novel. The opinions expressed are my own.

Honey Cooper is the youngest and only daughter of the Cooper clan, and she just might be the most misunderstood of the family. Honey has a lot of feelings floating around inside her. Can she find what she is looking for, is it even possible? All she knows for sure is she needs to try.

Jericho Smith has been apart of the Cooper family since he was a kid and would never do anything to upset the apple cart, even if he had secretly hidden his feelings for a certain hot headed woman of the family.

My heart breaks for Jericho and Honey both have endured so much growing up. Losing the glue that held their lives together, their mothers. Honey learns she has lost more that she loves due to her father. Jericho was shocked Mr. Cooper sold Country Wines to him knowing how Honey felt, but there was no way Jericho was going to pass on the deal. Can and will Jericho and Honey be able to heal and open themselves to new possibilities?

Rancher’s Christmas Storm by Maisey Yates is a wonderful holiday read, with a lot of heart, strong character building along with some wonderful Christmas magic. I always get swept away as Maisey Yates lays out details of the story. It is always a pleasure to visit characters from the previous books in the Gold Valley, Gold Valley, Oregon and Gold Valley Vineyards Series.

Author Maisey Yates is a must for anyone’s Holiday Library.

Rancher's Christmas Storm by Maisey Yates is the 4th book in the Gold Valley Vineyards series. I have really enjoyed this series. In this book, Honey Cooper is the younger sister of Jericho Smith’s best friend. She is off limits.

Honey has worked for her father at Cowboy Vines and expected to run it when her father retired. That did not happen. Jericho bought the business when Honey’s father offered him the opportunity. Honey feels betrayed. She takes a job and leaves just before a blizzard strikes. Her truck dies on the road and she does not have cell service. Jericho is on his way to meet his family for the first time when he finds Honey in her truck. They are stuck together and are lucky to find a cabin where they wait out the blizzard.

I loved these two characters. They are fun to watch as they find each other in a difficult situation. Although it is a stand alone book, reading the series in order enriches the characters and gives the reader a better understanding of their motives.

This story is okay but not as good as the other in the book. It is about a man and a woman who have known each other their whole lives (mainly) and they get trapped together. They finally accept their attraction.
Scandal warning.

Quotes:
“They sat there, the engine idling, the heater doing its best to keep them from freezing.
‘I thought I was going to die in my truck all alone. But it turns out I’m going to die in your truck sitting next to you. I have to tell you, it is not infinitely more cheering prospect.’”(p. 44).

“’I don’t have a crush on him. I am in love with him. And he can’t handle it. That’s fine, it wouldn’t be my problem, except that I’m in love with him, so it de facto becomes my problem, because he hasn’t sorted his shit out yet. But I love him. And that’s just…it’s the way it is. I don’t need any of you getting up in my grill and meddling. I don’t need any of you to tell me not to be upset. Because I am. I’m upset. And I’m just…I’m going to be upset for a while. That’s how it is.’”(p. 174).

Jericho brought Honey's families business leaving Honey pretty angry when she fully planned buying it herself. Which makes things all the more complicated because he knew her for a long time and both have been attracted by one another but age difference and the fact that he now has her family business makes things tough. While going seperate ways they get stuck in a storm causing them to spend their time and that attraction between them.

While this book was pretty predictable it was still a really good read. Honey and Jericho getting the much needed time between eachother to talk things through and let eachother know how they really feel after the troubles simmering between the two. It was interesting seeing how their unplanned time together turned out. If you are into steamy read's then you'll defiantly be into this book. Overall it was a bit short for my taste but it was pretty good for what was there and I did enjoy it.

A quick and fun romance. When Honey thinks her unrequited love for Jericho. Ever since he came to live with her family when he was 16 and his mother passed, there's always been something. When her father sells him the family winery which she dreamed of running, she feels there's no option but to leave.

She gets stuck in a snowstorm when her car dies and Jericho rescues her on the way to meet his biological father and half siblings for the first time. They end up stranded and realize their feelings for each other are mutual. For a few days they act on their feelings, but after the storm ends and they return home, reality sets in. Can they open their hearts to love and build a life together?

I received a free ARC eBook from Net Galley and the publisher in exchange for my honest opinions.

I enjoyed Honey and Jericho’s story. They were at times snarky and serious and their dialogue was sometimes intense. Not having read either Creed or Jackson’s stories, I didn’t have much background to the Cooper family or Honey herself, but I’m quite familiar with the Dalton clan. I found that they brought a richer dynamic to Honey and Jericho, even with their short interaction, than her family did.
Like most of Maisey Yates’ books, there is a lot of inner dialogue from the MCs. That’s sometimes an issue for me, but not in this case. I was glad to get to know them better that way, since they were so buttoned up, feelings wise…plus it was a shorter story. I mentioned the previous siblings stories, but this book can definitely be read as a stand-alone for those who haven’t visited Gold Valley before. I enjoyed it.

4 1/2 STARS!

Snowbound at just the right time for a Christmas miracle! RANCHER'S CHRISTMAS STORM by Maisey Yates is the fourth book in her Gold Valley Vineyards series and delights her fans with a fast paced opposites attract story between Honey Cooper and Jericho Smith. They've been at each other's throats with their bickering for years while both secretly lusting after the other. Seeing them finally get their happily ever after is satisfying!

I highly recommend this book as well as the entire series to anyone who enjoys a close knit family feuding with another neighboring family who slowly find their way together as one after another sibling or parent hook up with a member of the other side.

Honey Cooper kind of grew up with Jericho Smith, since he's her brothers's best friend and always was at their house. She had plans for the family's winery but when her father sold Cowboy Wines to Jericho, a pissed off Honey decided that she'd go to Portland for Christmas, to meet the man she was talking with on a dating app that offered her a job at his equine facility. But on her way there, mother nature played havoc with her new plan, but at least fate put Jericho in her path again and is there something that says winter romance more than the being stranded together in a snowstorm?

Maisey Yates still have a way with words but this hero was so patronizing that my heart disconnected from the love story. Not a fan of their kind of bickering either.

A charming, enemies-to-lovers, close proximity romance that has plenty to make a reader smile. Jericho and Honey have a sparky back-and-forth that results in a fun, flirty explosion when they are stranded together. Although this one boasted a lot of inner musings on their relationship—with one another, with Honey’s brothers and father, with Jericho’s family, and with emotion in general—it was enjoyable, Christmassy, and left me swooning and feeling good. Definitely one to pick up when you’re in the mood to get the holiday season started!
