Perfect Twelve

Rate this book
Ex-physics professor Shawn Ronin is putting his life back together, but the mysteries won’t be left behind.

Having landed a new job outside academia, Shawn is days away from starting a new chapter of his life. Before he can settle into that, his now-PI girlfriend Kay Mills needs him for a case. Thrust into the world of Highland Games, Shawn is tasked with taking a closer look at the crew that runs the Heavy Events throwing competitions by joining up.

Not to be outdone, master manipulator Sarah Enns also has a job for Shawn. Guilted into helping a medical physics post-doc find her misplaced lost grant money to avoid deportation, Shawn takes one last step into the academic world that forsook him to rattle some cages and see what falls out.

It’s not rocket science, but that would actually be child's-play for Shawn compared to everything he finds himself up against. Learning to toss a caber without hurting himself. Fighting the bureaucratic nightmare of co-mingled university and hospital finances. Dealing with the reality of an office drone job that isn’t everything he was sold it to be.

Can Shawn sort out the mysteries and the mess? What about when what he finds starts to threaten his life?

Perfect Twelve makes it three out of three winning mystery novels. Smart, funny, and exciting, the Shawn Ronin series is only getting better.

Another fabulous Shawn Ronin in action read. Has to be my new favourite book character. He has a reputation on campus which he uses to his advantage!! Suckered into helping once again by the seductress Sarah and helping his amazon girlfriend Kay with her investigation, he really gets himself into some exciting situations. The highland games add a whole new element to the book . Another well deserved 5 stars. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
