I tried coming out as a lesbian. My abusive, ultra-religious mother forced me back into the closet. Doing these little strips is one of my ways to cope. Updated every Wednesday.
This book is extremely important, not just for queer people, but for anyone. Obelis covers inspiring topics and explores her struggles with her abusive parents, grappling with homophobia, and discovering who she is. She dives into her recovery from her parent's abuse, as well as embracing her identity. I love the queer representation, and how this book explains how to battle homophobia, as well as tips for safely coming out to family.
